I love Remonte and Rieker boots. They are casual but a bit unique and very comfortable, even the heels. rieker.us/They range around $130 in Canada, but I imagine are lower priced in the US.

I’m tempted to order the Blundstones in Zappos - look cute and comfortable. I like the ones with a 1.5” heel. (Except I don’t need more boots!)

I looked them up. I'm sorry...but those are really ugly. I bet they are comfortable though.
Edited to add...they seem more like a work boot, vs a nice boot, is what I'm saying. More utility, vs stylish.
thanks for posting!
I guess they are more of a Canadian thing because they are pretty popular here. I love my Blundstones, too. I've been wearing them since before they were a thing.. got my first pair in 1991. My last pair that I still have was one of the last ones made in Australia before they outsourced them. I had no idea they were so popular in Canada. That's interesting.

Look up Blondo brand, and they have them at Nordstrom Rack. I like them because they are water resistant, which I need in Seattle, and comfy. I have a few styles in various colors.

Everyone in my house wears blundstones. I’d say I get 2-3 compliments a week on mind. I wear them with jeans or leggings. I got the feminine fit. It’s narrower so not as bulky and has a slightly higher heel but not a high heel. Dd 14 for the regular ones and I wish I’d been able to talk her into the same as mine. They’re more flattering.
DD’s dress boots are blondo. They were the only ones she would agree to because of the comfort. I wear Clark’s.

Not sure if you have Blundstone in the states. I love mine and are the only thing I find I wear now. I have a pair of Ugg Bonham boots that look very similar to Blundstone. I wear them daily. Love them! I really like the look of the Blunstone. I have a feeling I'll be owning some soon.

I am such a shoe (especially boots) junky and really like some of those I saw on the Riker site. My foot is wide. Does anyone know, do Rieker happen to run wide like many of the European brands do?

I would say every other person I see is wearing them and the under 25 crowd almost everyone...... surprised they aren’t a thing yet in the States. I’ve never heard of them before. They look similar to the romeos that a lot of country, horse and dog people wear.

I have pretty wide feet and I have no problem with them. I size up for the heeled boots for extra comfort. Many of the styles lace and zip, so adjusting the lacing helps a lot for me. Wide feet and high instep is a nightmare to fit. I have been on a shoe rampage since I found this brand. I walk close to 15-20k step a day at work and every pair is still comfortable at the end of the day. It's been a dream 😛 And a nightmare for my wallet. I have like, 5 people a day ask me where I got them though, so be warned. I need Rieker business cards to hand out.

I'll second Taos boots. I have a pair of "crave" that I wore for several trips with a lot of walking -- never had foot pain or blisters or any issues, and they're cute too. They are above your price range, but you might find some discounted at DSW or the like.

These sound similar to what you described and come in a ton of colors. They are on lightning deal today. I know you said you can’t do super cheap but these have free returns if you don’t like them. Another Blundstone lover here. Ive had a pair for years and they still look brand new. I wear them with everything from leggings and jeans to t-shirt dresses and dressier things. They were tough to break in at first but now they fit like a glove. Most people I know have a pair.
