I guess I'm mostly sorting, fondling and becoming reacquainted with my pp. haha, that's a valid activity, especially after a long break! With my space needing to be packed up to do this I moved a desk and things in a corner of our bedroom. It’s a nice little space there and I had to chose what to move with me. It’ll be interesting to see what I really use and what I shouldn’t buy anymore. Spent about two hours doing all of that yesterday and now I’m ready to craft again! Sucks to have to open up a wall and move everything, but the silver lining is real - not being able to get to things does make you face up to what you love. Although if you're anything like contrary-me you'll miss certain things and then when you have access to them again you'll remember why you don't actually love them...

In the continuing saga of the Cost-kog organization plan, I got my order from Totally Tiffany. The cardboard magazine file boxes worked perfectly to contain all the vertical paper, cardstock, labels, and envelope punch board, and I think I can make it work for my black and white scraps, scrap printer paper, and hopefully my precut card bases, the latter being the one thing that doesn't have a home right now. Four boxes span the top shelf with exactly enough space for my die cut binder (and the 5th box in the set I can use elsewhere or keep in reserve). BUT, I had ordered a new binder for my die cuts with pockets that would hold the die cuts in, and a bit more space to grow. Here's the picture... Organizing WIP by jo.blackford, on Flickr The new die cut binder is too big to fit in the space where the old binder is. It's about 15" wide closed! And the cart is only 13" wide. And, you might be able to tell from the photo that even closed the binder takes up about a third of my craft table... Open it would take up almost the whole desk, accounting for space for either the trimmer or the Big Shot. We tried to find another space to store it, but I'm trying to be realistic about how I like to work - with the binder open on my desk, giving me options to choose from while I'm creating. Even a letter sized binder gets in my way. So I'm going to be testing out TT's return policy! Sigh. Measure twice, ladies. Hashtag small space problems. This is a big part of why I quit scrapping 12x12. Everything is just too huge.

joblackford, I am amazed at how large the costco cart is. You can really fit a lot.

joblackford , I am amazed at how large the costco cart is. You can really fit a lot. Yeah, it’s great! Ugly color, I wish it was teal or even cream, but I chose it because it was big enough to hold 12x12 paper. I think each basket is about 13x16” inside! And it had 4 levels. It’s been most of my storage for my business.

joblackford it’s looking good. You are making a lot of progress to really making it usable.

Put my stamp pads in rainbow order in hopes of getting rid of some (not shown another 15-Ish). I live them all and want them all. I got rid of some duplicates and some non-CTMH pads. They look so pretty. We used them this afternoon and it was great to be able to find them easily.

I am going to start organizing my stamps. I bought boxes (3 different kinds before I found the winner. Now I need to return the others), Avery Elle envelopes, and some clear plastic sheets like the ones LisaDV recommended. I might also do my stencils. My patterned paper really needs help, but I'm not sure when I can commit to such a big job. Maybe winter break.

my new photo scanner arrived today and I got it set up and running. Scanned the first batch of photos from my mum's - just grabbed a photo box and started in - they happened to be Spring 2002. That's all I have time for today but it's a start.

Linda, that’s a great start. It usually takes me all day to set up new tech gear,
