I've had a streaming cold for the past ten days or so, I've honestly never blown my nose so much in my life. As you can imagine it's delightfully scabby at this point and really painful. I've tried smothering it in Vaseline but every time I blow it just wipes away, I need something that will 'stick' and soothe it while it heals.
Any suggestions? Not coconut oil, it makes me break out.

My DH swears by blowing his nose with baby wipes when he's sick. Hope you get some relief soon.

I've used aquaphor, Vick's, and a rose ointment from Young Living. 'Tis the season. My nose is dry and sore inside. The cold air is so harsh.

Do you have the tissues with lotion in them? I also like the Vicks tissues as well! Hope you feel better soon!

I put some Chapstick on my nose before bed...one that I got specifically for my nose. It's medicated.

Always use tissues with lotion. I also have a dedicated lip balm that I use under my nose when I have to blow it a lot. Vaseline probably works the same, just really after you use a tissue, every single time.

Do you have a good lotion, like CeraVe? Working Hands is a good brand for winter skin but I don’t like putting that on my face because I’m sensitive. Put the potion on, then cover with Vaseline. That seals in the lotion to give it a chance to work. Yes, you have to reapply throughout the day since you’re using tissues but I’ve found it helps.

I get a sore nose from my ventilator/oxygen at night and use either Drapolene (first choice) or Sudacrem. Either are handy to keep in for sore skin or rashes etc. Hope you feel better soon.

Polysporin is what I would use myself. Can you get that there? Neosporin is supposed to be better but I cannot get that here.

I have Sudacrem in, I'll try that tonight. Thank you I have been using soft tissues but not with balm, I find that really irritating even after just one use.

You poor thing. That hurts so much. I would try Bag Balm. Not sure if you have it there, but it is typically used by dairy farmers.

It makes you wonder how one body can produce such a load of gunk, doesn’t it?
Kleenex balsam tissues and clear aloe vera gel. That’s all I’ve got.

I'm sorry I don't have help for the sore nose, but in the future you might want to try Boogie Wipes. They are in the baby section of stores. While it takes awhile to get used to wiping your nose with wet wipes, you'll never have to deal with a sore nose again.
Take care and I hope you're feeling better soon!

I put cortaid under my nostrils before bed and a few times throughout the day, as well as using tissues with lotion. It really helps.

Elizabeth Arden's 8 hour cream at night is the only things that work for me. During the day you do just have to reapply as much as you can. Glad you feel better in yourself.

DD was having some problems like that and her allergist suggested Neosporin. Hope you feel better soon, that really stinks!

I develop a little crack in my nose almost every winter. I usually use coconut oil with mine, but Aquaphor works well for me too. It's such an annoying thing. Hope you heal up quickly.

I like Vitamin E cream for skin irritation like what you are experiencing. It seems like it helps better than anything else I have tried. Be sure and get the cream and not the lotion though. The cream is much thicker and stays on your skin longer.

My nose is dry and sore inside. Another recommendation for Ayrgel for inside the nose. It is so soothing.

Poor you. Chapstick contains a local anaesthetic as well as the moisturiser. Try rubbing that onto your poor nose? And Vaseline at night, as thickly as you can bear, to stop the cracking. Feel better soon X

Lansinoh cream for nursing mothers is another good option. It is made to heal cracked skin and doesn't irritate when applying.
