I tried to be cool like Sleepingbooty, but I failed. To be fair, getting to Booty's level is hard. Damn straight it is. You gotta dig. All the way to hell.  Not that anyone needs more waffle opinions in this thread but at casa Booty, waffle diversity and inclusion is celebrated. Bring me your round waffles, your square waffles, your cute German heart-shaped waffles, your stroopwafels, your omelette and pepper faux waffles, your honey-I-accidentally-dropped-some-chia-seeds-in-the-batter waffles, your slightly burnt waffles, your Disney park Mickey waffles, they are all welcome here. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. prior to my divorce I had both a round & square waffle iron Without going to look in the closet I’m pretty sure I kept the round one. Not because it was round but because it was designed to be stored standing up & thus took less cabinet space. I think I left the other because it took up too much floor space in the cabinet to go into my small kitchen. So Ex got it. |

I don't have a waffle iron. I just make Eggos which are round. Eggos have octagon now too I think? The Thick & fluffy are octagon I think. Or they were when my kids were home. And I think the cinnamon toast one is square? I’ve forgotten because I don’t get them anymore since I don’t have a toaster I stick to frozen French toast which I can pan toast in my cast iron pan now ☹️ |

I dropped my waffle iron (which is round) sometime ago and sadly it doesn't close - which means the waffles don't cook evenly. I could get a new one but it seems like such a waste, I keep hoping that it will miraculously fix itself or I can figure out a DIY solution . So ha ha maybe I'll buy a square one, just so it goes with this stamp!!!

No bricks here but I did try some heavy cookbooks! The irons don't line up , so I think the hinge got twisted or something . But in looking at the hinge it doesn't look bent. I might just try dropping it again to see if that improves things!!
