I’ve posted about the mold-in military housing, moving to a 5th wheel to get out of the environment hoping all the issues will clear but one thing after another keeps piling up. Everyone labs came back, each one of us has an immune deficiency. My husband and 10 yr old have IGG over all deficiency. Everyone but myself is deficient in both subclass 1 and 2. Everyone has vitamin d deficiency. I have taken prescription d meds for a yr now and our son drinks milk like water.
Also our 10 yr old daughter is hypothyroid now. I explains the changes in her. Our son’s iGe is nearly 4,000. ( should be not more than 500). Both children tested positive for all 4 mold mycotoxins.
They started hyperbaric oxygen treatment, which meant all last week they had to travel three hours each way and do two one hour sessions with a two hour wait between. A total of 1300 miles put on the car back and forth. So much school has been missed for all the appointments there is no way they will pass. In two weeks there will be another session of 10 hrs of more treatment. I am tired and still recovering from my sinus surgery with a good chance of needing my eye orbit fixed. I am just so tired. Tired of being sick, tired of my kids sick. I’m tired of having to buy things to replace what we lost to mold. It seems there is no end to this nightmare. We are to move in March to be closer to my husband’s mother who has leukemia, with a stem cell transplant coming up in April.
I just needed to write it out. I know even though this seems like h*ll, I tell myself it isn’t cancer ( for us) or any other horrific disease other peas are fighting to just stay alive. I am trying my hardest to be thankful that the doctor is treating us under a LOP and Medicare and Tricare are covering a lot of the tests reducing the out of pocket cost. I know it IS good we are finding these things to be able to treat them instead of not knowing. Looking forward to 2021.

Maybe it's time to look into homeschooling to get your kids through this year?? Sounds like all of this is caused by the mold. DO you have any recourse against anyone???

Hugs, friend. Vent away, that is an awful lot to heap onto one family. You will be in my thoughts. ETA: maybe online school would be an option for your kids to help them get back on track?

I had a friend who had vertigo, couldn't drive and multiple other symptoms. It took years to discover it was caused by black mold.
I'm sorry your family is going through so much. Hugs!

This has to be so overwhelming for you. I'm so sorry to hear about the blood work results. Is the military paying for all your expenses?
If you need any help/suggestions on the idea of home schooling, please feel free to PM me.

Wow- that's a lot to go through. If all this issues are caused by the mold problems, you should not be paying anything out of pocket-including transportation costs. If necessary, you need to get your congressman and senators involved in this.

We are homeschooling, our doc is three hours away so we leave at 3:30 am to make our 7am appointments, with traffic we are lucky to get home at 5 pm, the attempt dinner and bed for the next morning 3am wake up. We have a lawyer who worked out the letter of protection to provide care at no cost as the Hyperbaric treatment is 200.00 an hour so so far in one week it racked up 6,800.00 not including tests. Add another week it will double that amount.

Is there a reason you can't move your trailer closer to your doctor?

Is there a reason you can't move your trailer closer to your doctor? I have quiet a few follow up appointments with my Ent here and cosmetic surgeon for my collapsed eye orbit. We are considering it if we have no other choice. Lot rent would double from 350.00 to 695.00. It is something we have been tossing around about doing.

That's so much to go through. You can't compare illnesses. If you're suffering then it's serious enough. May you all heal and feel better very soon.

Have you looked into a hotel to stay in while the treatments are done?? We can not afford it, we have been slowly replacing needed items, such as clothes, shoes, coats, towels as we can afford. Losing everything you own makes you realize how many items you take for granted.

I am so sorry. This just sounds so bloody awful. Come vent here, we can't fix anything but are happy to be an ear and offer prayers and well wishes. It might not be something like cancer but it is still something you need to get through. And sometimes that can be pretty overwhelming.

This is so much to deal with, so very difficult. So very sorry you have all this. Please vent all you want here. Wishing you relief and better times. The fact that it is not a terminal illness you are dealing with does not negate the stress, pain and frustration you are going through.

I'm so sorry for all you're going through right now. Vent away!!! So many Peas are wonderful listeners, and they have great advice to offer. I'm just wiped out with our goings-on here, but I do feel badly for you. I hope that something is figured out so that your family's situation improves. Big hugs to you. xo

What a horrible horrible mess. I'm so very sorry you're dealing with this. I can't imagine so many things at once. It's horrible to be sick, but to see your children sick due to negligence must be beyond comprehension, even experiencing it.
Hugs!

What you are going through would be too much for ANYONE to handle!
Don't minimize your illnesses; cancer isn't always the worst thing (hate to say that, but there are cancers that are curable, ones that you live with, etc.). Mold illness can be a lifetime problem. There are so many other issues that are triggered by the mold illness. The Mast Cell Disease that I have is one example. It's incurable. You are probably looking at problems for your family indefinitely. So don't you dare minimize what you're going through!
Frankly, the fact that you are still managing, still getting those kids to their appointments, homeschooling, still somewhat sane, is miraculous. Your lives have been turned upside down, it's been going on for so long, and there's not any true end in sight. You are amazing. You are Wonder Woman. And you are allowed to bitch and moan about it here anytime IMO.

I know you have mentioned before on my posts about possible hEDS, dysautonomia, pots, and mcad. Just as an fyi, PIDD is quite common AND there is new research that MCAD is maybe the cause of hEDS.
With those conditions, the body will react worse to mold than a healthy person.
So that is definitely something to look into.
Hopefully you see an allergist immunologist. Dd has hEDS + and PIDD (hypogammaglobumlinemia) and is on IVIG infusions.

Here's my shoulder. You can use it to cry on anytime you like. I can't imagine the stress you're feeling worrying about your children, you mother-in-law and yourself. I hope you can take it all one day at a time until finally there is light at the end of this tunnel. Until then, I'll keep you and your family in my prayers. Hoping and praying there is good health just around the corner for all of you.

It is a fight for anything and I am just so worn down.

What I got was a bottle of antibiotics. My original PCM wouldn’t order it so I had to change PCM’s and ask for one. That showed my orbit collapsing. If I had just listened to my allergist I would of risked losing my sight in the eye. Current “environmental doc I don’t trust but he is the “ expert”. Doing nothing but Hyperbaric treatment. I fell like throwing in the towel but lives are at stake. I need a rock to climb under some days.

@sunnycalimom, funny you should mention those issues. My DD has POTS, hEDS and MCAS. I have dysautonomia and MCAS. And we think mold triggered our illnesses (we had them before but they were far less serious).
