Today will be busy, on purpose. This am I'm meeting some friends for coffee. Then after one appt. sil arrives. Tonight sil requested pork tenderloin w/sage brown rice and salad. There is apple pie for dessert.
What's on your menu?
Wishing everyone a calm, easy day. May those who need healing continue on the path to happiness and good health. We have a rockin' tribe. I just thought I'd throw that out there.

Everything continues to go smoothly here. I saw my doctor again today and he is happy with how it all looks. I am allowed to start water aerobics from tomorrow now that the staples are out and the wound is healed up. My pain levels are remarkably reduced, so much so that I was speaking to the doctor about how to reduce my pain meds.
Lunch here today was spinach and feta strudel, which was very good. Dinner is German style rissoles with potato salad.

Good Morning Ladies! Rainy gloomy morning here, so glad I'm working from home today. I'm tidying up my craft room/home office between work tasks today. DH has a Con't ed class until 3 so I have the house to myself.. I'm so much more productive when I'm home alone.
Dinner tonite will be home made pizza. Using up some peppers and Italian sausage.
Did I mention last week that our deep freeze was off for a couple of days. luckily we didn't loose anything,I did cook up some meat and re-froze it. Now I'm motivated me to use up what's in there.
Wishing everyone a happy productive day!

sueg I am a bit in awe of just how wonderfully things have gone for you. Either that or you really have a positive attitude. Probably a little of both! Tonight we are trying the salmon, green beans, and bread idea yet again. Unfortunately, I was planning on dinner for two last night with DS but he didn't read my text and ended up eating right before I got home. So Jeremy and I ordered tacos. I really felt like I ate to my +2 last night with the tacos. But as the night went on, I realized just how uncomfortable I was with it. I don't know if I actually did overeat, the tacos just didn't agree with me, or I was suffering some sort of psychological block because I ate off plan. Either way, it will make me think twice before jumping ship to eat tacos.

I need to buckle down and get with it. Corrine is in my mind, but not integrated in my actions just yet.

Im starting to feel a bit better, although the cough sounds awful! I forgot to share that ds was invited to join the Honor Society for his major- good resume stuff!
Dinner tonight is leftovers of the Swiss Steak we had on Sunday. Dh has requested it be served over rice and I have no objection to that!

Hi ladies! Today is dd's long awaited therapy appt. She sent me a message about 11 this morning asking if I could pick her up from school. She thinks her nerves about the appt upset her stomach/ intestines and sent her to the bathroom a couple of times. She just wanted to come home so I went and got her. She's relaxing here now. I wish she wasn't so nervous. Hopefully things go well tonight. Her appt is at 5. I sent a message to dd#1's doctor asking why we couldn't use a bone stimulator now vs waiting the 6 weeks. He said typically the deciding point is at 3 months... which to me said that insurance won't approve it until then(and he confirmed that). I asked about purchasing it oop. Yeah that's not happening at $1800. Ouch. So she has another 5 weeks until her next appt. Dinner tonight dd#2's favorite - breakfast. Chocolate chip pancakes, bacon/ chicken breakfast sausage, hash brown patties. Have a good day friends!

I’m having taco salad tonight. I may break Whole 30 and put cheese and ranch on it.
On my way home I’m stopping to pick up cupcakes for Ally to bring to school tomorrow because somehow she’s turning 4! I don’t know how that happened!

It's a rainy day here and other than a pilates class at noon, I'm just working on projects around the house. I made a big dent in my to-do list yesterday. Would have gotten more done, but there was a bit of a disaster mid-afternoon. I was cleaning the oven and the racks needed to be cleaned as well. My method is to fill the deep laundry room sink with hot water and Dawn, then put the rack in there and switch ends about 1/2 hour later. First rack went well. Second rack I managed to start filling the sink, get distracted on the computer, and flooded the laundry room floor & cabinets, over half the floor in my sewing room and well into the breakfast/kitchen area. Took all the towels in the guest bathroom AND the load of towels that had just come out of the dryer to mop up the water. 3 loads of towels later, I have clean floors and lots of clean towels. Today will be a breeze comparatively. Dinner tonight will be the pork tenderloin and the rest of the roasted potatoes since I went with leftover shrimp last night.

I never know what the date is until I look at the bottom right corner of my computer. Not sure what I'll fix for dinner. We're going down to the Bay Area Thursday until Sunday morning so I need to plan my week out. We're meeting with a client on Thursday, DH is golfing with his old group on Friday and that evening I'm meeting with my old Lunch Bunch group for dinner. Saturday we have a reunion with the group we traveled to Italy with in September. Sunday we come home to watch our Niners in the Super Bowl. Fun weekend!

We are trying a new recipe - shrimp Florentine. Having a mixed brown rice medley with it and sautéed broccoli with red peppers.
Lots of stressors in general today but I am continuing with my exercise, healthy eating and down time and finding I am holding up well. Wishing the best for everyone with hard things going on for them and their loved ones. ❤️

So true, we follow her anywhere. I never pay attention to the date. I will make a stir fry tonight. Easy! SO and I stopped at a bar last night to have a drink and while we were there, an accident happened right outside the bar. The truck flipped on it's side and the other car was just a little bitty thing, totaled. Both drivers were ok, the guy in the little car got right out of his car said the truck ran the red light. He had his car for a month. Luckily there were witnesses that said the same thing. Brings you back to reality to take it easy and pay attention.

Hi ladies, hope all your day goes well, I enjoy reading about your to do stuff! I have left over costco roast chicken that I stripped off the carcass last night to prep for today. By the way, I discovered an easy way to do this. I hate trying to strip the meat off a cold from the fridge chicken, it's so hard to do. I plop it on the trivit in the Instant Pot with a little bit of water and hit the 'steam' button, it goes for 10 minutes. I swear the chicken comes out as if I just picked it up from the store again. I wait a bit for it to cool down some, then I just put on some plastic gloves and it just all slips off the bones. Just thought I'd share that tip because it made my life so much easier. IDK what to do with the left over chicken now. It's warming up today here in So Cal, and now I don't feel like making the enchilada soup I'd planned. Maybe I'l make some tacos instead, with some cauliflower rice cooked 'Mexican rice" style. I love Corrine and PNP. My girlfriend joned the tribe and shared some of her stuff with me. I'm struggling back and forth with the same 10 pounds and it's driving me crazy. I need that 10 pound cushion to stay safe at "Goal" on Weight Watchers so I'm trying to be good all week, only to blow it on the weekends and have to start all over. Maintaining can be harder than losing, I swear. It sounds so stupid to say that but it's true. Have a lovely week ladies!

IDK after a while that smell gets to me, so I stick it the fridge after we'd eaten some of it for dinner. I'm weird.

I'm back to the drawing board. Dd asked me to make something quick for lunch today. She has 30 min. before she has to be back to school. I made our venison chops I had defrosted. Spaghetti and garlic bread would be quick and easy before shes off to play pep and for a basketball game tonight.

All of this Costco chicken talk is making me so sad. My Costco has closed the rotisserie chicken area for remodeling. It won't reopen until sometime in February. . LOL oh yvonne, I'm the same way about taking the chicken off the bone. We generally get the chicken late in the afternoon and have it for dinner. By the time we get around to eating, it's late - like 7 pm - and I'm in no mood for picking that darn chicken off the bone. Ugh. So into the extra frig in the garage it goes until the next day. Now we are talking about cold chicken - yuck. I am definitely going to try reheating it in the IP. I'm sure I will get more off the bone when it's warm because I'll admit I rush thru the process when it's cold! As for tonight, I think DH is working his regular job and then doing some work for his boss at her rental property. Timing dinner will be difficult. I've decided on taco salad (like KelleeM ). We can each warm up the meat when we are ready to eat and I can make it diabetic friendly for me. I'm struggling with my numbers and need to get things back under control.

Restless Spirit oh gosh, yes that's exactly me! I go after work during the week because I avoid CC on the weekends like the plague, but still it's always such a PITA! I'd hate having mine to be shut down, I buy at least one or two a month so yeah, that would suck to have to sit through a remodel w/no roast chicken! and yeah, the meat slips off so easily after steaming it, and those little disposable gloves are great too, I hate that greasy hand feeling after. I use them when I do meatballs too.

Probably a little of both Things are going well, but I have had excellent care, both at the hospital and here. It is easy to concentrate on getting well when you don’t have to worry about anything other than your therapy - no cleaning, no meals to cook, no juggling everything around work and family, just show up to appointments at the time shown on your schedule. I also did come in with a positive attitude - I have done this before, so I can do it again.

For our dining pleasure this evening we will be enjoying tenderized pork loin cooked in gravy with mashed potatoes and corn...…
The house guests woke this morning with big smiles just farting rainbows and sunshine everywhere...….their parents are in the air and on their way back home.....the parents mentioned last night on their phone call that they hoped grandma was cooking something good for supper because they were starving...…..
The ranch people are in the air and on their way to California so we are officially on pet care duty.....ducks, chickens, kitties, and one dog....twice a day!
Hugs for everyone who needs them.....a beautiful quiet sunset for those who need calm.....
Happy Homecoming Tuesday!
