Definitely dogs. Ours are not the result of hairy behinds, but what they have eaten. We have the grass or weed variety, or the lovely shreds of partially digested fabric or string from dog toys. We refer to them as organic or inorganic dingles. The best part is the heated discussion about whose turn it is to get rid of them "I did it last time, no I did, no I did". We often flip for the pleasure. Pulling them off/out is well, beyond nauseating.
