I have a great way to stash/store my washi tape, but I find that if it isn't out and somewhere I don't have to search for it, I don't use it as much. I'd love to find a washi tape display. I've been looking at videos on YouTube (they don't look like they'll hold up) and I have been perusing my local craft stores. Right now, my best option is to get a couple of wooden shot glass display cases. They have the right measurements, but I might have to store the tape on its side (maybe 3-4 high) so they don't roll, or I could lean them back agains the wall. I currently have some space on top of one 5-foot tall Kallax, but am open to other ideas if anyone has them. They are currently stored in four Iris type containers that I tuck away. Right now I have about 180 inches of washi storage. Any thoughts? My shot glass storage came in today and I loaded it up. I decided that two would have been perfect, but then I would have had to have moved my type writer, so I put my more decorative washi in the display case and put my more basic colors, glitter washi, and multiples in the clear storage case. I can still see the front three sets of washi tape in the display cases. I also happened to have 4 of the $ store clear containers left over from a project and used those to balance the shot glass container. I like how it all works. Now hopefully I will use them more often with the easy access.

I have mine on the outer ring of a large wooden embroidery hoop, hung on a Command hook on the wall above my desk, like a wreath.

I saw these at Michaels today. I would need three of them. I have these in the larger size (12 x 12) for kit storage and love them.

Michaels had washi tape holders on clearance for $10 that are like counter paper towel holders with 3 spindles. Mine are currently in 2 iris containers. I thought if I put some on the display thing on my desk, I might remember to use it.

I have generic embellishments sorted by colors in gallon sized bags. That's where I store washi too. I don't know if that's how you scrap though. The ones that are more themed are sorted in 12x12 iris containers with other bulky themed embellishments like chipboard.

I have a lot of washi, so I picked up one of these cases from Michaels a while ago during their Lowest Prices of the Season sale. It's fantastic. I still have room to grow, but it keeps everything organized and accessible. I'm really happy with it.

I have mine in big pickle jars, smaller mason jars, candy jars, and decorated up cycled oatmeal containers. I have them roughly sorted by color, with Christmas/Halloween/Other specific themes grouped. It’s not ideal, but they are visible.
Maybe try putting some in a mason jar where it’s visible to you? Then if it’s not the right color, it will remind you to look for a better option. I do think the Iris storage is a good idea. The rolls would be very visible and you wouldn’t have to dump out a jar to get to the bottom one.

I keep mine out on old spools. You do not have to take the tape off of the spool to use it. I have had it like this for 5+ years and LOVE it! You can see it here in the top left of my photo.

I keep mine in the top drawer of an Ikea ALEX 5 drawer set right next to my desk. They are in the plastic trays that cookies like Oreos come in so they don't roll all over the drawer. I found that it's the compromise between put away but easy access to make my selections. There's always a few rolls on my desktop that remind me of their existence.

In my next crafting life, I am going to have a dozen Alex drawers. They are amazing.

I hesitated before I bought them, they ended up on a shelf by my desk so I see them. I've tried several different storage options so who knows how long I'll have it stored in these. 😁

But getting the tape off of the rod would involve taking off all of the rolls in the way, correct? I think it is an awesome idea if you leave your tape on the rod.

I found a 3 drawer washi storage at HL a while back. The drawers have 2 rows each for washi. They pull out and down, kind of like those spice storage drawers. I really like it a lot cuz it fits my stash and I can easily add to it and take out rolls. Plus it is closed storage but I can see a lot by opening a drawer.

I can see if you have a lot of washi or if you needed them to come on and off all the time it would be a pita. For me, I only have about 20 rolls, and they are a little lower than eye level, so I can just stroll over and pull off what I need. I don't take them off unless I am going to a crop, and for that I just pick up the rod and dump them all into a gallon baggie.

I measured yesterday and found that I have almost 200 inches of wash in four containers. I had a tiny come to Jesus with myself and ended up putting about 10 inches of it (maybe 15-18 rolls) in the use for tape pile. They were tapes that came in a set and I didn't love them all.

I have 2 of these that are actually spice storage. Got them at Value Village (Savers in the US?) for a couple bucks each. I think they were $40 (Canadian) a piece in the scrapping storage aisle at Michaels. They store lots, are easy to gets rolls in and out of and sit close by for easy access.

I found a Kurig pod holder at good will. It’s a drawer with dividers. I think your coffee pot is supposed to sit on top. I have it on a shelf with my colored pencils in jars on top. Holds a ton.
