Seeing 'The Hyponist's Love Story' above, I think I have read all the Liane Moriarty books, they are a good "beach read". My favorite is What Alice Forgot, I saw that there may be a movie of it with Jennifer Aniston.

My favorite is What Alice Forgot, I saw that there may be a movie of it with Jennifer Aniston. That's the only one I have read. I had a hard time believing the story about a stalker and she is NEVER shown a photo of her boyfriend's ex and it's set in the present day. I have that on my extensive to read list!

1. What kind of reader are you? I listen to audiobooks on my drive to and from work. I read both ebooks on my kindle and “real” paper books. I used to be a voracious reader but life has slowed me down a bit. Now I read in spurts. I mostly read nonfiction and business/leadership books for work. Every once in a while, I read a fiction book. I also read to my 8yo most nights. 2. Read anything you love this year (already)? I’m currently listening to Radium Girls and it’s fascinating. I’m only about 10% in to it, but man it’s crazy to think about. 3. Got any reading goals for the year? On goodreads, my goal is 24 books. It was 36 last year and I read 35, but I’ve slowed down already. I know I won’t keep up reading three books a month. Two is going to be pushing it. 4. Do you plan on documenting your reads? If so, what's the plan? Tracking on good reads for sure. That’s easy. I’m also thinking about how to use my Cocoa Daisy reading kit and rather than document books I read this year and may or may not like, I’m thinking about documenting my favorite books from when I was a kid and what my ds’s favorites were and are. For example, I loved Encyclopedia Brown books, Choose Your Own Adventure, Nancy Drew, and Dr. Suess the Sneetches. That would be more fun to look back at over the years—vs what I happened to read this year. I also want to include some of ds’s favorites that we read over and over and over...like There’s a Wocket in my Pocket. I want to use that kit to document fond reading memories that may help my son continue his love of reading. I haven’t figured out how to do this yet (damn December daily!!) but I have some fun ideas. I definitely want to do something that isn’t a one year journal of what I’m currently reading. I want it to be more of a documentation of books that moved me and that I still remember over the years. refugeepea I love those tags! I also love the fact that you make tags for the not-so-good books and it all isn’t just fluff, flowers, and rainbows! I’m not a fan of the everything is awesome journals or books. It’s like cmon— one of the books had to suck !! I like the range and the honesty of your book tags. Thanks for sharing!

.. I love the idea of tag book reviews. I could throw them on a binder ring and be done. Great idea!

1. What kind of reader are you? Really slow, I only really get a chance to read on the commute to and from work (although I'm sure I could make more time at home).
2. Read anything you love this year (already)? Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi. A short and sweet book set in a cafe where you can travel back in time. At points, it reads like the play it originally was, but there's so many quirks and Japanese-ness (not a word, I know) that it kept me very happy. It has the main reminder of you can only change yourself and not others and that made for a very nice first book in the new year.
3. Got any reading goals for the year? I have such a large pile of books to read I want to get through those before I buy anything else. Testaments, Three Women, Queenie, and My Brilliant Friend are the first on the list.
4. Do you plan on documenting your reads? If so, what's the plan? They'll all be put into Goodreads, but that's as far as I thought. Maybe a traveller's notebook?

I just watched 'Dirty John' on Netflix (the woman who married a psycho). I have fallen down the rabbit hole and now am reading all I can about it, right now I am reading the LA Times articles that it was based on. So that's my latest reading adventure.

1. What kind of reader are you? I read purely for relaxation. I have to do a lot of technical reading at work, so any reading I do at home is usually quite fluffy. Much to my surprise, I am an e-book convert. I love having a book going on my phone so I can pick it up for a few minutes throughout the day. I also listen to audiobooks, but it has to be a book I have already read because I space out and miss things.
2. Read anything you love this year (already)? So far the best has been pure fluff...Crazy Rich Asians. It certainly wasn`t my best read ever, but I do want to read the rest of the trilogy for fun. I am also listening to all of the Diana Gabaldon Outlander audiobooks--I am up to Drums of Autumn. I have read all the way up to A Breath of Snow and Ashes, and I want to have them all re-listened to or read so I am caught up for the release of her next one. 3. Got any reading goals for the year? Strictly speaking, my reading goal is 20 books. I used to read a lot more than I do now, and it has fallen off for various reasons over the last couple of years. I want to get back to it by always having a book on the go. More generally, I have fallen into a bit of a rut reading nothing but mysteries. I want to read more contemporary fiction and branch out a bit more.
4. Do you plan on documenting your reads? If so, what's the plan? I have decided to resurrect my Goodreads account and track things on there, but I would like to do a page about my reading this year. If not about the books specifically, I think something about how I have surprisingly fallen in love with reading on my phone...perhaps for a page in an all about me album.

Wondering if anyone has any bookish podcasts that they like to listen to? Or bookstagrammers they follow? Please share. I like the Summer / Winter Reading episodes of Another Mother Runner podcast. The co-host Ellison can be found at @bookbully and she has great recommendations. She had a short-lived podcast of the same name that I enjoyed.

1. What kind of reader are you? I read for pleasure and relaxation. I prefer fiction but I do like a good non-fiction thrown in to mix it up. I try to stay away from Mystery, Romance and Sci-Fi. I read hard covers when ever I can and read books on my Kindle when I travel. I carry a book with me where ever I go so I can read if there is any wait time.
2. Read anything you love this year (already)? These 2 books were on the top of my list for books I really liked this year: Fiction: The Glittering Hour by Iona Grey Non-Fiction: Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson
3. Got any reading goals for the year? Not specific, just keep reading. Last year I read 40 books and I'm up to 8 books this year.
4. Do you plan on documenting your reads? If so, what's the plan? I take photos of each book and save to my IG account. I plan to do a wrap-up each month in my PL album.

1. What kind of reader are you? Fiction mostly. Mystery or thriller or something similar. Favorite author is Dean Koontz. I also very much love my library! 2. Read anything you love this year (already)? Wanderers by Chuck Wendig. Lots of pages at 782, but got it done in 6 days, and would have been happy to have had it go even longer! 3. Got any reading goals for the year? Originally wanted to read 20 books this year - but might up that a bit. I am not a huge fan of audiobooks - but I've got a couple under my belt this year and kind of like having one audiobook and one actual book going at the same time. 4. Do you plan on documenting your reads? If so, what's the plan? Not quite sure yet! I am using goodreads - so that is sort of like documenting it! ( Friend me if you are a goodreads user!)

I read that book last year, and OMG! It was fascinating, disgusting, maddening, and I am very glad I read it. I also was very much extra paranoid about my TMJ for awhile after reading it!

I read Evvie Drake Starts Over by Linda Holmes and I just found it hard to get into. And way too many F bombs and GD bombs for my taste.

1. What kind of reader are you? I read pretty fast, so I tend to burn through several books and then take a break, then go back to reading non-stop for a while. I like a pretty mixed bag, scifi, fantasy, historical fiction, romance but nothing horror or gross. I dislike war stories and crime. I also LOVE some of the "documentary" kind of reads. My absolute faves-Harry Potter, A Court of Thorns and Roses, Eleanor and Park, Just My Type, A Book About Fonts 2. Read anything you love this year (already)? Soul of an Octopus was beautiful and I loved it. On a whim I read Cat Cora's biography (it was on a free shelf while I was at the coffeeshop) and also read the Martian as I loved the movie. 3. Got any reading goals for the year? Read more-don't get rid of books. I like to re-read stuff sometimes and I stupidly Marie-Kondo'd my books last year and now I feel like someone stole my library. 4. Do you plan on documenting your reads? If so, what's the plan? I don't know...not really probably. Edited to add, I also reread "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" and let me say, this book makes a TON more sense to my post-40 self than it did to my 20 year old self!!!
