This is not to make light of the situation, so please don't take it that way.
In the past week alone, so much of our daily lives has been touched by this pandemic. It actually feels like a once in a lifetime kind of thing.
I plan on jotting down, bullet journaling style, how it has affected our family.
I'm including:
School closures
School competition cancellations
Shopping/stocking up. Definitely going to mention stores being out of hand sanitizer.
Professional sports & concerts being cancelled.
And anything else that pops into mind.

Yes. I'm being a big baby, but school has been cancelled for two weeks and I'm sad. I completely understand it's the right thing to do, but my son (special needs) has been excessively hyper lately. I just ordered extra adhesive on Amazon. Who knows how much I'll get done, but it's going to keep me sane doing something crafty.
I had a momentary freak out when I couldn't find baby wipes today. Luckily found some at the smallest grocery store.

Yes, I’ve been making entries about it in my daily journal. The stories are becoming more frequent. Took pictures of the empty bread and meat shelves at Aldi a little while ago. That’s going to be today’s entry.

I'm going to make a page this weekend. I flip flop between its going to be ok vs out and out angst that we are going to end up quarantined, no food and parents sick and no way to get to them/help. I think it will help to document the story as it unfolds .....going for a hike tomorrow. Think that will help relieve some tension. Thanks for the links sleepingbooty, will be using those

I have been writing in a "journal" every morning since January 1st as it was recommended in a creative therapy book I'm trying to work through. I have definitely been including Coronavirus (as I told my kids it's a historical once in a lifetime thing) in there. Maybe I'll write a book on it someday and use my notes later or use my notes for scrapbook page journaling. I don't usually include news and world events or negative things in my scrapbooks but this is a big one... My oldest dd (15) is also journaling the experience although she didn't start until today (when school closed for 6 weeks). Maybe I'll make her make a page too when she complains she's bored

Yes I plan to document this. I’m just not sure how. I did take my 1st photos today. One of a “care package” to my dad (tp, Lysol wipes, 2 N-95 masks) and some at the grocery store (empty shelves, lines at the cash register, many showing the contents of people’s overflowing carts).

Thanks for the reminder! Definitely something I want to document. I have to figure out appropriate pictures. I may start with the picture of 20 cans of tuna on my shelf. It's a staple for us, and I suggested DH buy lots!

I am self-quarantined as of today (contact with a presumed coronavirus employee at work), so I'm going to take photos of our now over-filled pantry and freezer, and for the next 14 days, photos of me in my pjs working from home, my thermometer, purell, etc. Sadly, no pile of toilet paper to photograph (we couldn't find ANY today).

I’ve been collecting pictures and ideas for my book for when I decide how I want to document it (partly depends how things play out, personally and globally, in the long run). One thing I did was an image search of something like “coronavirus news” and take a screenshot of the page of images to use as a background - I tried to get one that was very busy and sensationalized to represent how all-consuming it has been in the media. I might do another one now that it’s escalating even more in the US.
I also took screenshots of some of the messages that have been coming through from the doctor’s office and all the companies who want to reassure me they know what they’re doing. May not use them, but they might be part of a picture collage.
And of course the pictures of empty shelves, full Costco carts, nearby churches calling off mass, etc. I would take those pictures anyway. Memes to find humor in the situation.
The journal is getting more of the detail for now, not necessarily daily updates, but when there’s something that impacts us more directly.
Someone I follow online who works as an ER nurse and was exposed very early in the US community spread phase (who has been cleared and never got sick, thank goodness) mentioned that it’s a really good time for those of us who are more anxious to write down the good stuff too, maybe a daily gratitude log in a journal or planner. A lot of the pictures I’ve been taking lately are actually of flowers and springtime signs, because nature just keeps going.

As of now, no, but I also don't do PL. If I happen to take pictures because of any changes to our routine I'll eventually scrap about it, but so far our only change is our oldest gets any extra 2 days of spring break.

I’m doing a film 365 since now I’m home while light is out. I took one photo today of us painting. I have a feeling we will be painting a lot. It will probably sneak into my scrapbook but I prefer to document our activities.

No not yet, as far as memory planning goes my head is in the sand.
If we cancel my nephews birthday because if it then I’ll be honest about the reason in my memory planner

I’ll document the empty shelves photos that I’ve taken at work and I’ll include stories of some of the more colorful people I’ve had to deal with. You know the guy that told me it would be my fault if he died, the lady crying with snot that it’s the end of days, and the woman that cursed me out because we don’t have toilet paper.
Retail management is not for the weak.

I've been thinking that I need to create a "non-traveler's" notebook, but haven't started yet.

Yes, thank you all for the info for memory keeping. I am totally putting this in my PL and doing a Day in the Life version of this in my PL book too for next week. It's a big historical event.

I have a whole 12x12 page in PL for it.... it just kept growing. Originally I thought it would just be a mention, but ... yeah. Things have changed. I had taken pics of our Costco shopping cart last weekend, then a screenshot of me on FaceTime with my son as he navigated the disinfectant aisle at Target. Screenshots of a few headlines & articles - like Disneyland closing. A pic of the virus from cdc. And now I’ll be adding info on how our schools are closed for a month.

Today I snapped a pic of our hand sanitizers (two 8 oz bottles & 5 purse size bottles).
