At this point I am not documenting it at all, but then again, depending, I may do a page for my DGD's book. I'll see how it goes and how it affects us here at our house before I decide if or how I will record it. Either way I only see myself doing a one page thing.
OK I'm editing my post. This thread got me thinking that son, who is a teacher, is off for 2 weeks so I went to the school district facebook page and copied the announcement that schools are closed because of the virus. That will go in his teacher album.

I've got a pile already. It's going to be it's own scrapbook and I'm starting it tomorrow.

I scrapbooked both 9/11 and the Beltway sniper because they both seriously affected our family. Other than self-isolation because I am high risk, this is not affecting me much as yet. My kids are grown, and they are dealing with closures, etc., but it just gives me an excuse to stay home and do what I want.
I can understand why many want to scrapbook it, though. It’s definitely affecting most people’s lives, or will before it’s over. I just have a very difficult time scrapbooking the bad times. It’s easy to remember the bad things and focus on them. I prefer to scrapbook the good things that I want to remember but might otherwise forget eventually.
My DDIL has been posting photos on Facebook of the fun things they are doing as a family since everyone is home. They take turns choosing a theme for each day. One day it was Star Wars, so they did Star Wars activities and made Star Wars foods. Saturday was Pie/pi day. Today may be Harry Potter day. If I scrapbook it, those photos and their positive attitude is what my focus will probably be, with a token photo of empty shelves.

I hadn’t planned on it, but since school is out for 2 weeks I probably will

I don't know - I don't generally include current events in my albums with a few exceptions. I'm taking a wait and see approach

I will, but only a mention as it relates directly to our family. Working from home, schooling from home, etc.
I don't want to document the broader "in the news" stuff, or any details of the suffering if any of us or our loved ones get it.

I will include it in my project life where I document weekly, but I generally like it include current events in there (only big ones, not all the time). I am going to include a card with stats on it/list of closures, etc. that happened last week and probably a screenshot of the NYT front page (I do this every so often when there is a big story). This week my daughter is home from school so there will be something about that. I'm not planning on making it its own page or including any extended journaling about it, I will just work it in with everything else while I document everyday life. Of course, that is the current plan based on our current involvement with the disease. If it touches our lives more or this goes on for a longer period of time that could change how I document it.

Yes, this is living history here. Completely unprecedented in our time.
I'm including articles, pictures of the virus, but mostly journaling. Also my kids are planning on playing every board game we have (we have A LOT). I'm taking photos of the stack of games as it grows each day.

Just added a mention of it on one of my dgs's hockey pages. Not a huge, grave result of the pandemic, just the way it has affected life in one small way. (Well small for everyone else: pretty big in a teen's life) With all sporting events shutting down, this guy's dream of competing in a Provincial tournament has been shut down too.
Thinking of doing a page about all the news I got from my family members yesterday about plans changed, dreams delayed, jobs lost, schools closing, accommodations being made...

I am! It's part of current events and affecting us since we both have to work from home. I love these FREE cards that In A Creative Bubble made. You can get them on her blog, here : inacreativebubble.blogspot.com/

Okay, things are changing so rapidly.
Last night I started a list of all the events cancelled & places closed.
Today my state announced a shutdown of nonessential businesses.
Tonight my boss called to tell me that the store I work at will be closed (due to the shutdown) for two weeks.
No school. No work. No shopping. No leaving the house, other than to my own yard.
I've been taking screen shots of major headlines. Have a pic of my work with a temporary closed sign.
I'll continue to journal.

LavenderLayoutLady I know things are changing so quickly! I wrote down a list of closures/cancellations last Thursday and now it's totally different, I am going to need an updated one! I think i'm still going to include that one as a picture of what it was like at that time and then this week will include the updated info. For at least 2 weeks, we are all home, my daughter is out of school and my husband and I are both telecommuting. He is purely working remotely and I am on rotation with coworkers to work from the office one day per week (we just have some tasks that can't be done from home, plus a large number of physical files that we will need to be able to access). Currently I'm keeping a list of things i need to do when in the office for when I go in on Thursday.

Sally from wilsonwilson.org (she's amazing!!) has created a set of PL cards available for just 36 hours. I think she posted them yesterday. http://instagr.am/p/B9rKyfGAnLK That’s a very nice collection and I missed it Not in her shop so far.

It was my daughters bday today. I did a day in the life. I did one last year too. It will be interesting to write about our day since it was so different than the norm. This is probably the limit to how I’m documenting it.
She did tell me it was the best birthday. She is 4.

I've also started listing my Google searches in light of the event for documenting purposes! "Circadian rythm and temperature fluctuation in the human body" "Disney+ European release date March 2020" (yah, Disney+ is still not available over here and I've grown bored with Netflix and Prime Video #firstworldproblems) "DIY chocolate Easter eggs" "Best pandemic documentaries" "Cracked skin remedies" "Do I need to fill in the official justification paper to take out the trash?"

On Instagram, I searched "wash your hands" & "covid19."
Took screenshots of images relating to those phrases to include in my scrapping.
Yesterday was St. Patrick's Day.
We usually go to the local parade, watch the city parade on tv, have classroom parties, go buy green donuts or cookies, etc.
Yesterday the youngest kids put on green tees for a quick pic (for my sake), and before they woke up I had printed off a couple St Patrick's Day coloring pages.
Last night I screenshot a funny image from Instagram (not my account) that I'll use on this year's St Patrick's Day layout.

Who missed Wilson Wilson's free kit? I am among the ones that sadly missed it.
Also definitely wanting to document this...so much has changed during such a short period of time.

I missed the free kit, too. ☹️
I will probably document covid19 as a kind of month(s?) in review type of layout. I will include a picture of the line to get into the grocery store, some funny pictures like one of a flower bouquet but instead of flowers it was rolls of tp, and things we did to pass the time. I finished my beauty and the beast puzzle today and went for a walk to get some fresh air. Tomorrow I’m making cinnamon rolls. I’ll probably also include screenshots of communications with friends on WhatsApp.

I am keeping a small journal list of what we did each day . . . started Monday. I am posting photos on FB #flattenthecurve of activities DS is doing. He's actually doing very well, not missing school yet . . . but he is on an IEP and school is pretty difficult for him. He loves flying his RC planes, and playing with his dog.

At some point I will because it’s a big deal. But I don’t know how just yet. My daughters high school graduation will be affected as will our summer vacation and I’ll need to express my sadness at altered plans. I’m still trying to make sense of our new normal.

I've decided to make notes and take at least one photo a day to document our quarantine time. I don't know what I'll do with them, but for now I'll continue with my PL...

I'm going to be sewing masks this weekend for the nursing home my sister and her husband run - so I'll take photos of that and scrap them, I think.

Generally I don't scrapbook this type of stuff, but I will probably include something in DS album since he is a HS Senior and this is greatly altering how his HS days are going to end.
