Restaurants and bars are closed down. People are freaking out with sudden unemployment.
We are doing porch drop offs today for people who now all of a sudden realize they cant afford it. I've been monitoring and bought a palette of food the end of january anticipating this so we have totes of staples.
Grateful. After this last dropoff we are home for the haul. This is such an anxious time for so many.
Daycares are open, but not for long. I believe casinos are closed but I'm not sure.
Lots of businesses shutting down. DH works in medical mobility but they cant get Into hospitals or nursing homes to fix the chairs so hes expecting to close tomorrow.

NH
All k-12 schools closed, but with online learning, until April 6th. It could be longer.
So far nothing else is really closed. A couple of restaurants in town are switching to curb side pickup only - no dine in.

I think that is awesome! In a time when their business could take a hit financially, they are expanding and meeting a need.

Probably everyone is sick of us in WA telling you what is happening here but
—schools closed through 4/24 —events over 250 prohibited —smaller gatherings also prohibited unless you can take appropriate measures —restaurants and bars closed except takeout/delivery —gyms closed
I am sure I am missing some things that are direct state orders. Other less formal things: —in addition to elder care facilities, hospitals limiting or prohibiting visitors —lots of retail closed —hospitals have cancelled elective/non-essential procedures

in Alberta, schools and daycares are now closed No groups more than 250 people Encouraging people to work from home if possible. Shelves are being emptied. I went shopping for my parents yesterday - the first store was almost out of meat and dairy, had no flour, salt, very few canned goods. But they had plenty of toilet paper! Restaurant parking lots are empty.
PM Justin Trudeau will be talking to us shortly.
I think they need to close our borders

Trudeau is speaking now.
Our borders are being closed - only Canadian citizens and permanent residents. Sounds like they may also allow people from the US
They are checking every single person boarding a flight and coming off a flight, for symptoms
They are providing support for Canadian citizens abroad trying to get home.

PM Johnson (UK) has started daily briefings now. Today’s Updates... ■ People to start working from home wherever possible ■ All unnecessary travel stopped ■ Pubs, clubs, theatres and other such social venues to be avoided ■ Anyone living with someone who has a cough or a temperature to stay at home for 14 days
Within days, it expects to announce measures for people in at-risk groups to stay at home for 12 weeks. This affects pregnant women, people aged over 70 and those with underlying health conditions.
Local to me a couple of restaurants are closing their doors for now but I’ve seen ‘business as usual’ statements on FB from a local gym, the butcher, my hairdresser, a cafe which covers what they’re doing by way of increased hygiene regimes.

Santa Cruz County - CA - Our public health dept just activated a shelter-in-place order for non-essential people. Schools were already closed, but now all non-essential businesses, are being ordered closed. Everyone who is in a non-essential business should stay home until April 7th. There is a list of essentials - medical, food stores and farming, pharmacy, laundry, and some more but if you're not in one of those businesses, you're sol. I'm so worried for the population who live paycheck-to-paycheck.

Wanted to say thank you to our international peas that are in the thick of this and are calmly reassuring the rest of us that we’ll be ok. Restores my faith in mankind somewhat. Really appreciate the candid and sound info you’ve been giving us.

6 counties in the Bay Area are shutting down except for essential businesses and grocery stores. Our son is planning on coming up to stay with us for a while so he can work from here. The county recorders office in the Alameda County (Bay Area) will be shut down so no houses until April. If then. Our county (we're east of Sacramento) hasn't shut down yet but I'm sure it's coming. Gyms are still open but Regal Movie theater has announced they are shutting down as of tomorrow. Schools are currently shut down.

I’m in Auckland, New Zealand. In the country we now have 11 cases, all with an overseas origin and authorities are saying there is no community spread as yet.
As of Sunday night cruise ships are banned and all arrivals have to self- isolate for 14 days. Several tourists have been arrested, are now in quarantine and will be deported because they haven’t made arrangements for self-isolation.
Non-essential gatherings of 500 or more people have been banned and many events, concerts, conferences etc have been cancelled.
More guidance is coming for smaller events but in my experience these are also being cancelled or held remotely where possible.
Schools are still open but the Ministry of Education is investigating which schools could provide online classes.
Some businesses are instructing people to work from home. Mine isn’t but we are trialing working from home days to see how our systems cope. All business travel in my firm has been suspended.
The government today announced a NZ$12.1 billion support package for businesses, beneficiaries and the health system to help with impacts from covid19. This is 4% of GDP so is significant.

I live in California (Sacramento Co) and work in Yolo Co, from what I can tell it's business as usual here. Schools are closed, but everything else remains open. I expect that to change today or tomorrow.

In Northern Illinois.
- Schools closed as of yesterday - Restaurants/bars closed as yesterday. Drive through & take out only. - Daycares open, but DSs daycare is mostly closing as of tomorrow. They are only accepting children for emergency care, for the parents that *have* to be at work. - Court systems are down w/the exception of major cases and the rooms are closed to anyone not directly involved in the cases. I had jury duty tomorrow, it has been cancelled. - Gyms closed - Movie theaters closed - Macys/Bloomingdale's closing (think that is nation wide) - All museums closed - Businesses are open, mostly. Employees that can work from home are encouraged to do so. - Pretty much every social even has been cancelled. Concerts, theater, etc.

If you're doing takeout and you can afford it maybe tip as though you were dining in, just for now. So many people will lose income and this is going to cause true financial stress and struggle for so many people. Be kind to the people who serve you in both stores and when you takeout food.

Melbourne Australia still has a lot of places open. Schools are open, as are most shops and restaurants Public transport is still running as normal
Travel bans are in place for overseas but domestic flights are still going No "internal gatherings of more than 100 people" - that will include any religious worships Big crowd places are closed - sporting events/theatres/concerts etc.
Our Prime Minister & Chief Medical Officer are still insisting that there will be no lock down in Australia They are relying on people to manage themselves and be sensible - who knows how that will play out for us in the long run.

Yesterday we had a few new cases. Today we have 83 new cases (which more than doubled our cases) and 3 more deaths. 2 days ago we had 1 death and now we have 7. Expecting close to 200 new cases tomorrow. School closed indefinitely.

FL limited beach groups to ten or less and closed bars and nightclubs today.
Apparently, that order was due in part to the fact that estimates of approx 30k or more people descended on Jax Beach to party this weekend. Bars, restaurants, streets and beaches were jammed. Police could not keep up with the calls.
People are too stupid and selfish to do the right thing, so we have to impose those rules.
I am sure restaurants are next. I am sure people will descend on them tonight to order drinks to get drunk.
Disney is closing their hotels on Friday. Also closing Disney stores and their owned stores at Disney Springs. They also sent an email to partner hotels telling them, in eseence, to not expect the parks to open before June.

KY added gyms, theaters and salons to the list.
I think manufacturing is coming due to factory line workers. DH's company already made the call preemptively and is shutting down Friday.

Apparently some Californians are going to Tijuana to shop for necessities. Isn't it a crazy world we are in right now! And schools may not reopen until the fall! Oh, and one local grocery store is looking to hire people because they are just so busy.
