I have an order from Scrapbook.com coming Wednesday and the Legendary set coming Monday. I have purged a tiny area for all of that.

I know this is an older thread but how have you found your destash? I’m stuck on several projects and I actually think I have way too much stuff. I keep thinking I might use it one day but at what point am I just hoarding?
I have stacks of papers in various sizes and I rarely reach for them. I’m mainly a pocket scrapper who thought they were also going to do TN, but never did much.

I gave away 2 inches of paper and some embellishments through my local Facebook Buy-Nothing group. I had to go through four people before one actually showed up, but it felt good to get it out of the house... now I have space to fit new paper mwah ha ha.

Ren - I would normally say that I don't really do a big de-stash because as I come across stuff I'm not going to use, I set it aside to donate. And I do do that on an on-going basis. But as I was hunting for papers recently - and for embellishments - there are certainly ones that are taking up space and belong to an earlier version of scrapbooking-me. So I do need to do a bit deeper dive and move some of those out of the way and into the donation pile. While I don't mind using older papers/embellishments - my layouts make that clear - not everything I've bought in the past fits me now and not everything I buy now does either - I love those Hot Buy paper pads at Michaels -but as an 8.5x11 scrapper, some papers just don't work. I find it easier to scrap when I'm not overwhelmed by choices (or by having to dig through too much to find my choices). If you're a pocket scrapper - embrace that. Keep things that work for pocket scrapping and rehome the 'good intentions' and 'good buys'to someone/someplace where they'll get used.

I gave away most of my stamps to a friend... around 500 of them (found them at a garage sale for $20) I did nothing with them and she is a serious stamper so they went to a good home

Well down here in Melbourne, Australia we go into lockdown again in two hours! It’s for 6 weeks at this stage, and this time I have scrappy goals! I’ll be doing that clean out I meant to do in March.

A kitten would motivate me!! My husband wanted a boat, so I got my second dog. Not sure how I'd feel about my scrapping supplies going.

I haven’t had as much energy for cleaning up as I expected. I want to want to do it, but for most of the pandemic I just didn’t have the time or the energy. But my husband has recently done a MAJOR cleanup and reorg of the unfinished basement and sold a bunch of stuff we used to use but had stashed downstairs (I was very surprised by some things he was willing to let go of). So now I’m feeling a bit more inspired.
I don’t have much crafty stuff to get rid of but I might pass on a few of those things that work for other people but not so much for me - the corner rounder that doesn’t really work well, the Iris cases that take up half my desk space when they’re out and are too big to fit in any of my storage spaces. I’m also determined to buy less and use what I already have more. I’ve been on a bit of a freeze since “supporting small businesses” early in the pandemic and there are still things (stamps, dies) I bought several months ago that I haven’t used. That makes no sense to me. Clearly I didn’t “need” those things as much as I thought.
I better find that old frozen peas thread and bring it back to life!

I have some one-inch buttons in many colors that are pretty thick. I need to just donate them. Right now they are just sitting all spread out on my desk keeping me from scrapping.

I went through all my Christmas stash and combined everything. I sorted all the paper by color. I cut apart all the partially used sticker sheets and tossed what I won't use. I'm trying to use it all for cards. I used a great deal of it last year, so I can nearly justify buying a new collection this year.

I hope you can work through your Christmas supplies sufficiently to justify some new goodies eventually.

Hoping for a good outcome for Melbourne (love your city!) and a productive lockdown for you. Whatever you manage to get done is a win, even if it's less than you'd planned. Lockdown is tough on the body and the mind. Don't be harsh on yourself if you feel the need to slow down and "just" make it through those six weeks. *safe distance hug*

I have been neglecting my Christmas stuff and it’s just thrown in a box. It deserves some more love.

I have some one-inch buttons in many colors that are pretty thick. I need to just donate them. Right now they are just sitting all spread out on my desk keeping me from scrapping. So these buttons... I decided to put them in some different containers that originally had lids, but they also snapped together and didn't need lids. I wanted them back to the original way of storing them by color and needed the lids. Which led to me tearing apart the upper part of my scrap closet. Not there. Went to my office closet, bedroom closet and both of my sons' closets. I ended up decluttering and moving things to different areas. Never found the lids, but five of my closets have been cleaned and reorganized.
