We just watched the movie The Leftovers with Paul Giamatti on Peacock. Very good movie! Do you mean “The Holdovers”? I haven’t seen it yet, but keep hearing good things about it. I woke up this morning and realized I had written it wrong!

I can't wait to watch another episode of Vigil season 2 tonight (SO GOOD!), while eating my leftovers, before searching for The Holdovers on my streaming services.

The holdovers is amazing, It inspired me to go back and watch Sideways. Sadly that one did not inspire me to drink wine while eating leftovers. We're terrible about that and need to be better.
I'm binging Northern exposure thanks to this thread. I'm only half way through the first season but it's not gripping me the way it did when it first came out. Or maybe I was just too young and had too big of a crush on John Corbett

Have any UK Peas heard much about Ludwig with David Mitchell playing the lead role? It came up on my FB feed earlier, but there was no information about when it will be released, and what platform it will be on outside the UK. I have put it on my watch list so I don't forget about it!

We watched the movie Burnt (2015) with Bradley Cooper and a host of stars last night. "Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) was once a top chef in Paris until drugs and alcohol led to a meltdown that put his career on hold. After moving from New Orleans to London, Adam gets a shot at redemption when his former maitre d' (Daniel Brühl) reluctantly hires him as the head chef of his fine-dining restaurant. Demanding perfection from his newly formed staff (Sienna Miller, Omar Sy), the acerbic and temperamental Jones gets a second chance to fulfill his dream of earning a third Michelin star." We enjoyed it but don't watch it if you're hungry.

We've been watching The Americans on Hulu. I think we're about halfway through and really like it.
It's the story of Russian spies living in the US as regular American citizens in the early 80s. Cold War Era stories that I didn't pay much attention to in middle school. Love the fashion and the characters are likeable despite their jobs. Keri Russell stars.

You probably already know this but Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell are married in real life. I just saw them on a red carpet for the Globes I believe. He's also British.

I just finished watching a limited 8-episode series called "Fool Me Once" on Netflix - it was really good!
Following the murder of her husband Joe, Maya Stern was given a nanny cam by a friend to watch over her daughter Lilly. However, after watching nanny camera footage, she sees Joe, who was presumed dead, visiting his daughter. Meanwhile, Abby and Daniel, her niece and nephew, seek to find the truth about their mother's (Maya's sister) murder and the possible connections between both cases.

We watched the movie The Burial on Prime with Tommy Lee Jones and Jamie Foxx. It was awesome and based on a true story.

I'm part way through season 2 of The Bay, another British crime drama. I am loving it! cadoodlebug I think you'll enjoy this one. I thought I'd mentioned it on this thread, but I mustn't have. We're almost finished with season 1. OMG what a wild ride!! Teenagers should be locked in their rooms until they're in their 20's! The Bay we're watching on Brit Box through Prime.

Enjoyed "The Lift" with Kevin Hart on Netflix. Lighthearted story of a team of thieves. Unbelievable? Absolutely, but fun.
Also watched "The Nest" with Jude Law. Listed as a psychological thriller, but I found it not thrilling at all. Story of a man's ambition and its unraveling effect on his family. Quite dull overall.

This was tue first show we ever binged! It is great! We have decided that Bosch Legacy is AWFUL. we got through half of the first episode of the second season and just couldnt with the predictable tropes. I think just about anything we have seen on freevee has been trash. It's a bummer because Bosch was so good.

We finished Who is Erin Carter? last night. It's a *limited series* with 7 episodes so I doubt there will be a 2nd season. Although, they left a tad of a nugget at the very end so maybe there is a slight chance. Be forewarned that you have to roll your eyes throughout the show. Yeah, we wantee to like this one, the description was right up our alley. The actual show was...eyerolling.

FWIW, I love it! I haven't seen any negativity about Bosch Legacy. Well, I have now! But yeah nah, I am enjoying it just as much as Bosch, and I am very excited about the next season that they are currently filming. This is what Michael Connelly wrote on his FB page a week or so ago: Hard to believe but we started production today on the 10th season of the Harry Bosch story. Season 3 of Bosch: Legacy is underway. Based on Desert Star (2022) and a lot of new stuff for Maddie Bosch and Money Chandler, it’s going to be the best season yet because this cast and crew, the writers and directors, everybody involved in this little village we call a TV show raises the bar every time. There’s a reason we are at 10 years and going, and that’s it. And it starts at the top with the Number 1 on the call sheet. Titus Welliver is the best. He’s the leader and he’s the glue. He’s Harry Bosch.

I am also watching True Detective Night Country. Jodie Foster is soooooo good in it! I'm waiting until I finish Fool Me Once to start that one, glad you're liking it. Jodie Foster is such a great actress. I'll have to check out The Bay, thanks! I love all those Harlan Coben shows, DH and I have a lot of fun looking for plot holes and laughing at how suspicious everyone acts throughout the entire show. Silly fun. Why is there always someone in a freezer? Why does everyone feel the need to do their own private investigation? Why do they all have unlimited time to do so? What happened to Harlan Coben as a boy that has left him focused on covered-up childhood/teen traumas? Why does day turn to night and back to day so quickly? How does a black hat make you invisible and render witnesses unable to even formulate a basic description of your face, even though you look like a model? 🤣🤣

Is anyone still watching Slow Horses (Apple TV)? We finished season 3 recently. We really like it. I own have no idea what's going on though I think that's sometimes the point. I'm like, wait, what? But I never reach for my phone when it's on, so that's always high praise from me and my (admittedly, self-diagnosed) ADD.
Love Wheel of Time too, on Prime. Can't wait for the return of House of Dragons on HBO!

Watched Oppenheimer. I knew the absolute minimum about the whole event. Was it meant to be loosely based on the events or is supposed to be a pretty true depiction?

I just watched American Nightmare. I am just dumbfounded by the police’s response. But also how the female victims were always blamed by the police for their attacks.
