Let's share our favorite Netflix/Prime shows!

I really enjoyed Monarch also.  I didn't realize Kurt Russell's son was playing the younger Lee Shaw. In one of the earlier episodes they did a face morph during a time jump from past to present and I thought they really nailed casting with the younger actor.  

I also watched Nyad which I found fascinating. Annette Bening and Jodie Foster were both fantastic.

American Nightmare - docuseries based on a true story. Each episode is told from a different perspective and when it all comes together, it's both heartbreaking and infuriating.

Fool Me Once - it was a little convoluted but enjoyable to watch with a good twist at the end.

Queenpins - it's a satire based on a true story of coupon fraud.


I'm in the middle of True Detective Season 4 (Max) and Criminal Record (Apple) - both are really good. I want to go back and watch earlier seasons of True Detective.

Has anyone started the new Feud: Capote vs The Swans? I think I'll watch the first 2 episodes this weekend to see what I think. Certainly the people it's based upon are interesting enough.

Reacher fans, Neaghley will be back. They didn’t say if it would be a season long stint, but I’m still excited! It will be based off the book Persuader. Apparently she’s not part of the original book so they’ll have to work her character into the plot. I’ve considered reading the book, but movies/shows are never as good as the book, no matter how excellent they are. So I probably won’t.



I feel your pain. I almost never watch TV Shows, and if I do I watch with DH so I don’t get to binge anything! We just started Only Murders in the Building but are only 3 or 4 episodes in. And he’s never in the mood to watch more than 1. I’ve tried to warn him, baseball is about to start up again and I will be unavailable for 8 months 

Who keeps marking this thread old because thats lame. It always has current posts in it. Nobody cares when it was started. Anyway...

DH and I watched Fool Me Once which we gave an 8/10 rating. Ironically, I do not remember reading the book but as soon as it started and I saw it was by Harlan Coben, I checked my Goodreads. Yep. Remembered nothing about this and gave it a 3 over there. lol It was fun and kept us binging, dont get me wrong, but the ending was kinda blah. He agrees.

We are watching Resuce Me with Denis Leary now. I've seen it about 3x through because I love anything centered around the FDNY but it's his 1st time watching. He laughs a lot & likes it, but he's critiquing the sh!t out of it because well, he's FDNY and I have to keep reminding him it's supposed to be for our ENTERTAINMENT.   anyway, since I've seen it all already, this show is a total 10/10 for me!

Did anyone watch Griselda? I didn't see a thread about it. Sofia wore prosthetics to make her look more homely. .

Now that football is over (🥳) DH and I have added a new show to watch, Halo. We are also watching True Detective North Country.

I was looking forward to The Swans but I found it a little disappointing. The storyline seems to jump around without context. I’ve only watched the first two episodes. Tom Hollander is fantastic as Capote! And I like the other actors so I’ll finish it out.

I’m watching Expats on Prime, and really like it so far. Just starting episode four.

I thought it was really well done and I think Sofia Vergara will be up for an acting award for it. At first you're like rooting her on as a woman in a total man's world but then you realize what a psychopath she is and it's scary!

Honestly. I tried to read the first Jack Reacher book and the writing was...not good. Books do tend to have more detail and background than can be included in a movie or a show, but in this case, just stick with the show.
