Hello Tribe. This is a quick thread starter, because I have to drive Ods to his apartment and pick up his books/computer, etc. for the semester. Since they're online for the duration we're gonna let him stay home. Everyone has gone home and I'll feel better know that he's not alone up there. When yds gets home tmw I'll feel much better knowing that everyone is together. Dinner will be rechauffe, because I'm going to be pooped.
What's on your menu?
I wish each one of you a relaxing and calm weekend. Do your best to create happy moments. Ok, gotta hit the road.

We ---mom and I --are going to order fish fries from a local restaurant. We have seen and heard how they are handling take outs and are confident it will be fine. We will wash our hands before and after touching the bags and will not eat out of the containers.

We are having a spinach quiche and crusty rolls if I can ever get it together to find my bread flour. I've been absent from posting lately and need to go back to the previous threads to catch up.
The arrows have missed you guys, but they've been doing yoga, learning to relax through meditation, and trying not to use up their supply of toilet paper and peanut butter. I tried to get them to eat almond butter, but most of them spit it out and then refused to clean it up. They are worse than a child, for Pete's sake.
Thanks for the thread. Yay for Poobah Prince ODS (and YDS)!!!

I am just on my way out the door to work now. We spent most of last night in the ER because DD was having hallucinations. The good news is I think she is going to move back home. She needs me and I'll feel safer if she is under my roof.
Dinner tonight will be take out tacos.

Both of DH's listings have been taken off the market for now. I feel so badly for the sellers as they both had received full-price offers which have been withdrawn. We watched Troop Zero last night ~ cute, quirky and sometimes sad. I need to look in the refrigerator and see what's for dinner. Good news that Costco will open an hour earlier for 65+ next Tuesday. Will finally get to restock water and toilet paper in our house. This is truth:

Good morning!
Last night I ended up making ground beef with rice, corn, minced garlic and onions. I mixed a packet of mild taco spices with water and added Worcestershire sauce. It ended up being both sweet and savory. We put shredded cheese on top of it. My YDS ate it as burritos and my husband and I just ate it in a bowl. ODS didn’t eat.
So tonight we will have what’s left and I will probably add more rice to finish it off.
I am sending all of you prayers to remain healthy and safe.

cadoodlebug my dd sends me all the teacher memes right now. They’re all so funny. Went to the grocery this morning for us and my dd #1. They’re working crazy hours. They had everything but pasta, toilet paper & most ice cream. So I’ll spend the day meal prepping. Fish for tonight because it’s still lent. So grilled fish and baked potatoes & all the other veggies in the fridge. Need to work on my house projects I’ve started before work changes for me. It’s 70 degrees out so I just want to garden but it’s a little early here. I ordered dahlia tubers from farms. One shipment came yesterday and I really want to get going.

jeremysgirl, thinking of you and your DD. In what is already a stressful time, I'm so sorry you are going thru this.
desertgirl, we've missed you! If there was ever a time for arrows, it's now.
I went to Publix this morning for a few things and to shop for my in-laws. Some shelves are a bare, but I got everything on my list and I'm finding people MORE friendly than ever.
I have home made spaghetti sauce simmering on the back of the stove for tonight.
I'm off to take groceries to the in laws. They are safe and well and SIL has moved in with them for the foreseeable future.

If the local restaurant/bar is doing their prime rib as take out, we will get that. Otherwise....mac and cheese maybe?

I’m grilling steak tips and chicken tonight. We’ll probably have fries and a salad as well.
My son is in the process of moving in with us. Life has been crazy for me as it has for everyone. I’m still required to work but daycares have to close here after today so dd has to stay home with dgd. Today they closed the IRS office where she works for all nonessential employees so now she’s home for at least two weeks. I’m relieved for her. I told the two kids (they’re 25 and 29 but still my kids) that I’m going to make them a project list to work on while I’m at work! They’re also going to be doing the cooking!

We were out of produce and had to go to the grocery store today. Surprisingly it wasn't crazy in there and we were able to get everything we needed except for water. Tonight we are having shrimp fettuccine with bread sticks for dinner.

Thank you for your post, tuesdaysgone . The arrows smiled when I read it to them and they are now launching to jeremysgirl and her precious daughter. They would like to eat your homemade sauce, but I told them it was so rude, for cryin' out loud, for them to even consider that request. Soft arrows to your dd, jeremysgirl , full of fluffy comfort, her favorite candy, some new boots, and a full box of hope and love from our tribe. Although her mom, one of the most role-model mothers on this thread and in the universe, will need to pay for the boots. As a former teacher who earned $6700 a year when I started in 1977, I thank you, cadoodlebug , for that meme. I did manage to save money on that salary by living with 5 other people in a house . We ate a lot of legumes and tortillas. And I drove a very old Datsun truck, but it held all of my arrows, a meager supply that NEVER BATHED!!! But I digress.

Hugs to your daughter jeremysgirl Not real sure for dinner tonight. I was listening to the news this morning and they were talking about the Celtics player that tested positive and about how a week ago they were here to play the Bucks when the NBA suspended the season...I was thinking, that was ONLY LAST WEEK?? This has been the longest week EVER. Holy cow. It's quiet here at work, we are on 2 different floors with a total of 19 people here. It's interesting. I am blessed that I can still work and make money, so no complaints from me. I am sure the time will be coming that I will not, but hopeful that I can work from home. SO's work is almost there. Office people were clearing out the stuff they need to work from home.

Safe travels! Hoping where you are has lighter than usual traffic. She needs me and I'll feel safer if she is under my roof. I feel better with her under your roof, too. I'm off to take groceries to the in laws. They are safe and well and SIL has moved in with them for the foreseeable future. I'm sure it will give everyone peace of mind that they aren't alone, but the open endedness makes it so hard. I told the two kids (they’re 25 and 29 but still my kids) that I’m going to make them a project list to work on while I’m at work! They’re also going to be doing the cooking! I hope it all works out for you. I had a surprise today as the pest control company showed up for our annual inspection. Except I didn't have an appointment (our inspection is April/May) and two sleeping bodies in the house, so had to say not today. The fridge is bursting with bits and pieces of leftovers so it is a fend for yourself night here.

Dinner...I have some frozen pizza dough balls that are thawing on the counter right now. Ive never used them before, so hopefully we can successfully make pizzas- i have pepperoni, bacon, onion, spinach, diced tomato and maybe some green olives. Fingers crossed!

Hello everyone! I have finally completed the transition of my office back to the sewing room and am happy with the set up. Now to actually scoot over to the sewing machine and accomplish something creative! So far it's working well with DH at his end of the house and me at mine. The only interruption this morning was a call from DD. She wanted to know if I could hear her foot massager running before she made a call to a client! Never a dull moment with her, even at 32! The weather is rainy & gloomy today, with a cold front coming through. That means the high tomorrow will be 64, compared to the 85 is was yesterday and the 91 it will be on Wednesday. Gotta love Springtime in Texas! Hopefully all the rain will wash away the massive amounts of pollen. Once the rain moves out I might go drive around the neighborhood for a break. I'm thinking 48 hours of solitary might be my limit. Dinner tonight will be pineapple fried rice. Made the rice yesterday so it should go together pretty quickly.

Tonight we are having white chicken chili. I bought some kind of frozen jalapeno cheddar bread nuggets that I am going to make with it.
I am getting ready to hit the road (like scrapmaven) to pick up the rest of Kait's dorm stuff. Her fridge, tv, and a few other things that were too big to stuff in her Honda Accord.
Sending the best mom vibes to jeremysgirl I am happy your dd is coming back into your nest. Hugs to you my friend.

I might make some kind of soup or I might just eat rechauffe. There are three gallon bags of turkey stock which my son brought over because he didn’t have room in his freezer anymore. He doesn’t want it back, he just wants me to just use it. I’m tempted. I’m just worried it won’t taste exactly like mine. jeremysgirl, I feel for your poor DD. Hope she feels better soon, and I’m glad she’ll be under your roof for the time being. I’m glad everyone’s chickies are making their way home to mama.

Good afternoon ladies! This morning I preserved some fresh green beans for later use. After my imperfect produce box arrives, I will preserve some carrots for soups and stir fries.
Last night was corned beef, carrots, potatoes, and cabbage. Tonight is left over corned beef, roasted potatoes from ones I preserved on Tuesday, pineapple, and steamed green beans.
Has anyone elses amount of dishes increased? Holy poop, I run the dishwasher at least 2x a day and do 2 to 3 rounds of sink hand wash dishes. 😳

jeremysgirl , once again, you prove that you're a great mom. Your dd is so fortunate to have you as her mom, confidant and advocate. Does the psychiatrist have tips to prevent your dd from stopping treatment once she feels good? Great job on your weight loss, especially w/the stressful week. You model how to handle mental illness and thrive for your dd. You're my hero today. KelleeM , home is going to be a busy place for you, but maybe having your children and dgd around will help you as you adjust to a new life. I pray that your son gets the help he needs and turns his life into something really good. littlemama , what a huge bummer. Can you book another trip for later in the spring when this weirdness is supposed to end? Maybe you can get a screaming good deal.
cadoodlebug , That's too bad that you had 2 fallen escrows. I wondered how this panic was going to affect the real estate market? I hope this ends quickly and that your dh will sell the properties at an even higher amount. Traffic was so easy today. We picked up the essentials and then came right back home. I'm fried, but really looking fwd to my other boy's arrival tmw.
