We were originally out until March 30 and last Wednesday it was pushed back to April 15. I wonder if and when that will be changed.

We are currently out until April 11th. I don't honestly think we will go back this year, but I am happy to have the hope.

Yes, ours was "extended" to being canceled for the rest of the academic year. Originally they had said April 14 which was the day we were supposed to come back from spring break. Then they just canceled.

We were originally supposed to be back next week, and it’s been pushed to May 1 by our governor. The middle school principal privately told me last week she would be surprised if we go back this year.

We're closed until April 20, but I'm hoping it will be longer - not because I love teaching online (I don't!!!!), but because I am terrified of groups of people. Many of my students have parents who are doctors. I'm afraid for them, and for the whole community.

My kid has been on spring break for 3 weeks. On line learning to start Monday, target return date is May 4th. Hoping for our Seniors that happens. They aren't outright canceling prom, but have tentatively rescheduled it. Realistically, I doubt they will return this spring.

We are hearing rumors that school is done for the rest of this school year, at least in-class schooling that is. I know all colleges here will not go back to in-class teaching for the rest of the term.

The original date for K-12 public schools was April 6. Now we have a shelter in place order through at least April 13. Ds' university was supposed to be closed through April 17, now it is closed through the end of the semester and there is strong thought that Spring classes will also be online.

First, ours was 1 day for planning. Then, 2 days for planning. Then, 2 weeks. Then, until April 13. Finally, for the rest of the school year. Now, we don’t know what will happen with ESY (special Ed summer school).
I’m glad that they finally just called it. As the mom of a special needs kid, who both NEEDS structure and is highly anxious, the changing the closure dates every couple of days made things exponentially worse for us.

We were supposed to go back April 6, after the scheduled spring break. It's May 1 now. But I doubt we will be going back. I'm sure graduation will be cancelled. DS doesn't seem too put out by it. I'm kind of sad.
My oldest is a senior at the University, they announced a long time ago the semester would finish online and commencement was cancelled. They have since scheduled a commencement for graduates. August 28 and 29.

Officially for K-12 in MI it is April 13. But this morning our governor said she think it's likely they are done for the year.
The state University where I work is all online for not just this semester, but Spring and Summer. Currently everyone but the Medical campus and other essential staff are working from home (or taking vac/sick or pandemic time until April 13). I wouldn't be at all surprised if that isn't extended further out.

In MI it was originally April 6 with Spring Break afterwards so basically until April 13th. The Governor said today she'll make an announcement next week but "it’s very unlikely students will be able to return to classes this school year."
I'm heartbroken and haven't broken it to my Senior DS yet.
We haven't had any online schooling in our district, in fact aren't "allowed" to contact the students via internet/email/FB/etc at all. The state has said that any online schooling that has been done in other districts won't count. The Governor has said in the past that she'll make sure seniors graduate and no student is held back due to this. Of course no logistics of how that will happen though.

She’s so sad that she might not to be able to say good bye to those moving on to kindergarten in the fall.

Massachusetts was April 7th, then pushed back to May 4th. I work for the town (librarian) and am doubtful, based on what I’ve been hearing, that we will go back at all this year. 😢 My high school sophomore is on the spectrum, and needs the structure. My college sophomore son is home for the rest of the semester, doing classes online (and 1000 miles away from his girlfriend). My husband and I are both working from home. Good times.
So far it hasn’t been too bad but I’m already antsy to get back to work. I feel so bad for all of the kids graduating this year, including my niece, and for all the teachers who left school one day not expecting to have their school year ended so abruptly. 😢
Stay safe, Lisa B.
