Have you seen this tweet? Firstly let's all stop and have a good laugh at Trump describing himself as a "great friend of the Queen" Also he doesn't seem to have anything else (really? nothing?) to do right now except worry about H&M? Also there has been a bit of criticism that I've seen of the couple not returning to the UK, to support their family...especially with Charles infected. Any thoughts on that? UK ladies?

How strange. Of course we wouldn’t but why even comment like that especially now.
I don’t know how I feel about travel for the two of them right now. It’s not like they could actually see him but assuming he recovers I would think they would want a visit. This is just such a strange time.

Don't care about any of those 3 people. Then please, fell free not to bother opening this thread then. The title makes it clear what it's about.

As for Harry and Meghan returning to the UK. Why? What could they possibly do for Charles with his mild case of the virus except expose themselves and their young child. International travel is discouraged and they shouldn't be an exception.

Firstly - Left ‘ the kingdom’ ? 😆 Second - he ain’t no friend of the Queen Third I doubt they expected to have their security expenses paid
I haven’t read anything like that but If as we’re told Charles only has mild symptoms I doubt he would expect them to come back here for that reason. I guess no longer being front line royals they have no obligation to support us as a nation. Harry’s family? I guess that depends on what sort of terms they left and we have no idea obviously how much contact they’ve had.

Ha! you were the one who felt the need to impose your superiority about this topic - not me. And maybe go and post on all the other threads were people are complaining that the only posts are about covid-10 and explain that when people try to post something other than that, YOU try to shut it down. Nice.

Well Canada was paying for their security up until March 31. The timing of this move seems curious. The move is weird because wasn't Harry quoted as saying he wanted away from all the paparazzi that was responsible for his Mom's death, yet choosing LA is a smarter choice than BC, Canada? 🙄

Don't care about any of those 3 people. I mean, neither do I unless you count extreme hatred toward one. DT is trying to make it seem like he is protecting the US in a small way since he failed miserably in every large way. Do host countries usually pay for royal security? And DT should pay all the cities back for his campaign rallies. Apparently it was okay to spend taxpayer money on that (before he was president) of course I also think campaign event security should be paid by non government entities. President should be covered when doing government things.

I can’t comment on whether they should be here or not. If as we’re told Charles only has mild symptoms I doubt he would expect them to come back here for that reason. I guess no longer being front line royals they have no obligation to support us as a nation. Harry’s family? I guess that depends on what sort of terms they left and we have no idea obviously how much contact they’ve had. I'll try to find the article and post the link. It suggested they were getting a bit of backlash in the UK...? Here it isIt does seem a bit sad to me that Archie won't be growing up surrounded by his cousins. It's not that he's a part of the Royals though, this is his father and grandparents (at an age where they could literally die any day), then you add the complications of travel etc in the current situation I'm pretty sure I'd stay close to my family and not move overseas. Prior to corona virus he could always fly home very quickly...might not be the same now. It also seems they'd be safer in Frogmore Cottage than in LA. ETA: another tweet :

I read an article somewhere that said Harry desperately wanted to immediately fly home, but Charles nixed it saying there was no point as he only had mild symptoms. Harry, William and Charles (according to the article) have been tele-visiting with their dad and having a lot of laughs together. Article said this has helped relieve the tension between William and Harry.

I think its funny. Harry wants to get away from tabloids so they head to Los Angeles? Okkkkay. Let me know how that goes.
I don't think Harry and Meghan should have to go back to England to support Prince Charles but I do think its weird they moved so soon to the US.
I am sad for Archie. He will miss out on so much by not being close to his grandparents and cousins.

Um, do what now? Are we required to provide security for them?? That's a new wrinkle.
Oh to have nothing else going on, that this is a worry. Oh, wait . . .

Well Harry has insisted he doesn’t want to be Royal anymore, so even if countries usually pay for royal security, why would anyone pay for some celebrities? Does the US pay any security for George Clooney or Tom Cruise?

Typically, Royals are considered an Internationally Protected people - meaning, they get protection wherever they are. But because Harry & Meghan aren't Royal anymore, there is question as to if they still should get protection from other countries. Some feel Harry should (being that he was born Royal and a direct connection to the future Kings). Harry and Meghan have asked/wanted Canada to provide protection and Canada said no more - it stops April 1 (they've been providing some of their security since last Fall when they showed up in Canada).

I think it’s very sad that Archie won’t grow up close to his father’s family. With the situation with her family as it is, he won’t really know any family growing up - and that’s a hard thing to do to a child.
People move away from elderly grandparents often enough I guess. These must all be things they considered before moving away although I doubt he could have ever guessed that travel might be so complicated one day!

I thought the borders between the US & Canada were closed ? Stay with your first choice; we’re closed. Well they are now but many think that they slipped out as soon as they got back from their farewell tour in England earlier in the month (about the time Harry's phone call to "Greta" was released.

Is there any choice they can make that will not earn them criticism from someone? Don't go home, "you should be supporting your family." Fly commercial, "you think the travel limits don't apply to you?" Fly private, "what a waste of taxpayer money" even if they pay for it themselves.

Canada paid because they are part of said “kingdom” (why doesn’t he have advisors to check with before he tweets? he just keeps looking more and more stupid with every tweet) H&M would never expect that from the US.
