Based on what I read on NextDoor and here, it seems like no one has seen these two elusive items in about a month! Are they hard to make?
We do have some local breweries making hand sanitizers and selling them.

The problem with making sanitizer at home is that your need 90-99% isopropyl alcohol. Which is also impossible to buy now. You can’t use regular strength alcohol - 70% - because once you add aloe gel or glycol, it wouldn’t be strong enough.

Almost empty bottle of hand sanitizer in my car. 3 pack of small containers of Clorox wipes, one opened to wipe down 2 received boxes. That's it.

I saw about 5 Clorox containers on the shelf at Target this morning. I was almost out so I grabbed one (which is all that was allowed.)

Just before this all started, I was planning to buy a bottle of 90% for an art project. I held off, saying I can wait. Of course now, there is none.

According to my friend whose wife works in a supermarket, they aren't getting much of high-demand items in their shipments to begin with, and even with buying limits, the products are gone from the shelves almost as soon as they're stocked. People line up outside the store before it opens in the morning, and the first group of people in the door goes straight to those items and takes their limit. It continues like that until all of the high-demand items are gone.

I have two bottles of 91% stashed for my lashes - used to clean to reuse. One is now in my car so I can clean my mask and gloves. Finally my vanity has paid off!

Probably some assholes hoarding and re-selling on eBay and Amazon.

I was Kroger senior shopping when it opened this morning. They had the small canisters of clorox wipes, toilet paper, paper towels, kleenex, bottled water and antibactirial spray - maybe lysol brand?
I bought 3 wipes and one spray.

I have been to several places this week looking for hand sanitizer. Any size. Nada. I am kicking myself b/c I logged into Bath & Body Works Friday morning. I was at work so I didn't complete it. There was a pack of 5 travel size for $8. Got home and they were sold out. Can't find any disinfectant wipes anywhere either.

If people had not hoarded those items and only bought what they needed at time there would be plenty to go around now.
People acted like the companies were going to stop making this stuff and they needed to stock up for years. That not the case.
Everyone needs to calm the eff down. Think about the common good, not just themselves.

Right now I'm grateful for my crappy memory thinking I was almost out of wipes and bought more a while back. Now I have enough wipes for the time being but my memory was wrong. I'm almost out of garbage bags.
Back when this board was talking about TP, hand sanitizer and soap outages, I grabbed a package of TP and a bottle of sanitizer before they started running out. Yay!
Now I have to remember garbage bags the next time I venture out.

I haven't seen hand sanitizer in at least a month. I've heard that wipes can be found, but you have to be at the right place at the right time. While I'm sure there is still some hoarding going on, it may have more to do with increased usage. Quite a few people didn't even own hand sanitizer/disinfectant wipes before this. Now it seems everyone is using them and using them multiple times a day.

I had a stash of 70% alcohol that DH needed for something in his shop but didn’t get around to using. I don’t have any hand sanitizer, but I add the alcohol to a ziplock sandwich bag along with a folded paper towel—instant alcohol wipe for my purse.

I have two containers of wipes here at home that I’ve had for a long time because before this I almost never used them. In fact, one of the containers I got for free from the Amazon Treasure Truck when they were having a Seventh Generation promotion. If I run out here I’ll make a run for our lake cabin an hour away because I know there is a five pack of Clorox wipes there that we bought at Costco. We bought them last summer when the neighbor’s grandkid basically started off a chain reaction stomach illness that went through about 15 people in four days. We were going to give every family there a container of them as a joke but then never did, so the whole five pack is still sitting there. In case of emergency, LOL. And Costco to the rescue with the hand sanitizer too. Last spring or summer when they were opening the Costco Business Center in our area, they had someone giving out small bottles of it to everybody in the store. They gave me one and also DD who was with me. Then when we forgot something and had to go to the back of the store and came past her again, she reached out to give us another and we said thanks but you already got us earlier, and she said “Here, just take some more and give them to somebody else if you can’t use them.” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Okay then, we took them! Good thing too because now we can’t find any anywhere and that’s what we’re using. On a related note, when we were school shopping last summer DD insisted on getting her own big bottle of sanitizer to keep in her locker. I was surprised that it wasn’t on the supply list like it usually is, so I bought her some. Now we got the email that we are to go to school next week to pick up all her stuff that was left in her locker and also the supplies she had in the classroom, etc. She commented, “I hope nobody steals my big bottle of hand sanitizer that I had in my locker!”

Looks like it's been removed. If you see anything like that again report it.

My DD was at Costco on Friday at 5pm and there was wipes and toilet paper still. They had a limit of one both. Northern Alberta.

We consider ourselves pretty lucky; we have extra wipes because we have always stocked them using Subscribe & Save, and DH was able to grab some hand sanitizer while shopping a couple of weeks ago. But he got the last two (one for elderly family), and only that because even though he was at the store an hour early the people ahead of him went straight to the toilet paper. Which we have always kept stocked with s&s. Now if I could just find some disinfectant spray for his shoes! He’s started wearing his crocs (hideous, bright fluorescent green on his huge size 15 clown feet) to work because we can easily clean those with a bleach mixture.

EBay has cracked down on them substantially, but people (as lowlife people do) are always trying to find ways around it.

Looks like it's been removed. If you see anything like that again report it. It was reported and the Tennessee Attorney General's office got involved. All products were donated in state of TN.

Apparently my local Costco had hand wipes (and TP) today! I should have gone today instead of waiting till Thursday. I guess they are finally getting stock out there!

OMG, and to think I actually just GAVE an elderly neighbor a canister for FREE today! Whatever was I thinking??? I could have funded my kids' college! On a serious note, I've had very occasional sightings of wipes but haven't been out too much. I've not seen any hand sanitizer since before this all started - ironically, my grocery store happened to have a display with a bunch of it and I picked up one bottle of it just because. It's in my car, tempting break ins, I suppose, since I just use it if I've been out.

Before the shit hit the fan around here, a grocery store had wipes on sale for 5 for $5 and they are an item the animal shelter we support asks for, so I bought some to donate to them. We usually visit in early June with a donation to commemorate the adoptaversary of our 3 boys, and then again in December for the girls adoptaversary. Now we are using the wipes ourselves. I never bought us hand sanitizer because it isn't something we ever use here, although we probably would now if I could find some.
