youtu.be/YZhDvqCcXvUWow. I am speechless over this craft room. Craft room isn’t even the right name... more like craft house!

That is an insane space! She really looks like she's thought about what would work best for her and I love how pretty that cardstock wall looks.

Beautiful space. Although the husband didn't seem so excited about the amount of money she spent. I got the feeling she was probably an upline in an MLM, anyone tell which one? Or am I off on that?

I love that room. It would be so fun to have all of my friends over to craft in that space.

It is beautiful...but I'd probably never feel comfortable in it! It's not beat up enough for me, lol. I need it to be crappier so I can feel like I can touch stuff.

That entire space is just the scraproom, not the house. The rest of the house is on the main floor, that we didn’t see. Holy crap.
It is beautiful, for sure. Can you imagine the money that went into that space? The slab of granite probably cost more than everything in my scrap space.
Amazing, it would be a space I’d have trouble leaving, for sure.

It was a nice room but it didn’t really do much for me as far as “craft rooms” go. I would have liked the video to show more of actual crafting stuff and maybe how things were stored. Oh well, to each their own. 🙂

I think I'm the lone wolf in this one but that is ridiculous IMO. I would never even remember what I had in a room like that. I'll take my quaint space (where everything is reachable from my chair) any day lol!

That is a bangin' craft room. I expected to feel really envious but for some reason I just don't. Glad she is happy and can enjoy it with her friends.

Beautiful space. Although the husband didn't seem so excited about the amount of money she spent. I got the feeling she was probably an upline in an MLM, anyone tell which one? Or am I off on that? That was my feeling, too. Or else she designed it as a sort of retreat, like the ones where people pay to come. It didn’t sound like it was about earning money, though, or that it would ever pay enough to cover the cost of the space, furniture, etc. It was all about what she wanted. I’ll admit that it was beautiful, amazing, and had everything a paper crafter could want. However, let’s say the roles had been reversed: that the husband had spent all that money (despite her concerns) on a masculine version such as a huge media room with expensive TV and sound equipment, fancy bar, huge movie collection, expensive reclining chairs, the works, just so he could invite his friends over all the time, although he included a nice (but smaller) scrapbook area next to it that cost far less than “his” space so she could join him when she wanted. What would be our reaction then, especially if she was not the media buff that he was? He’d be criticized for his obvious selfishness. Sorry, that’s just how it struck me.

It is pretty and I would love all that work space but mine would never, ever be that clean. If I can't see it, I forget I have it, so that set-up wouldn't work at all for me. I do wish it had been more about how the room was set-up/functioned. I would love to know how much all that cost. The husband did seem a little bitter about the whole thing (and as scrapnnana pointed out, perhaps rightfully so, but it made me uncomfortable to watch). I am sure if I had tons and tons of $, I'd have a big fancy space but I don't think I'd ever spend that much. I'm pretty happy with my Ikea furniture and enough $ left over to buy puffy stickers. Good for her though.

The room with the tables is lovely, but the real scrapbook room is the one behind the door, the one she calls her "work room."

Men's hobbies are big bucks. Our culture is so accustomed to seeing men spending insane amounts of money on themselves for their leisure and enjoyment, I don't think anyone would bat an eye. Man caves are a thing, and big money buys a big man cave. I bet this guy has his space too, in a house that big. This room only seems unusual because the big money is being spent on a leisure space designed for and primarily used by women. He doesn't directly benefit from it, so he thinks it's a waste. He sounded very bitter about the money.

To me, this was a decent-sized apartment where you had shelves for crafting stuff instead of books. And a kitchen sans actual kitchen. Didn't feel like a craft room at all. It felt like her own place away from her husband in their "shared" home.

I'll take my quaint space (where everything is reachable from my chair) any day lol! Same! I had a walk in closet in my old scrap space, it was a nightmare to keep running and searching for things in that. When I designed my new space it's 1/3rd the size of my old space and I can literally reach everything from my chair. Although that wall of rainbow card stock is mighty pretty!

It was more of a lounge then a scrap space. Outside of the paper/ink wall - where is everything? I wanted to see all the goodies and how she set it up to make sense. All I saw was the interview on the comfy chairs, which are awesome, but I would spend more time in the chair than creating in the space. I did fast forward thru the interview piece as I wanted to see the space, but never really found it on the 25 minute video. Should I go back and watch again?

I don't think as a culture we criticize. I think @scrapnana was speculating as to how that wife might react if he disregarded her concerns of money. I did get the feeling she wouldn't be so keen if he was the one over-spending. But that's subjective speculation, of course.
She did mention teaching classes.

I'm glad that this works so well for her, and that she has the means to be able to afford such a lavish home. Did anyone else notice that the host of the show got into an elevator?! To me the space doesn't seem very inspiring at all, very dark and more like a storefront and lounge than a craft room. However, it's not my space and she seems happy. I hope her husband has a space for his hobbies too, though!
