Happy April, dear Peas! Thank you all for keeping me company. Today is day 23 of social isolation for us.
I can't find the photos I copied from my childhood photo album. I copied them when I made my parents a scrapbook for their 50th anniversary. It's making me crazy!

I got up in the middle of the night and actually separated all my more recent photos into page protectors. Now I need more page protectors. It's like not only do I not know what day it is, I don't know what time it is.
I have no crops of course so I do not foresee any scrapping, other than moving things around, maybe adding a line of journalling here or there on completed pages.
My big April project is to continue my organization efforts, which are in their infancy. I bought 5 tall bookcases and put two in my guest room/son's room, and 3 in my own bedroom. I have moved all completed albums to these shelves leaving me some room in my actual small scrapbook room to begin the process of sorting. I am also going to put my sewing in there which makes organizing even more important.
Of course I continue to shop, mostly on Facebook Scrapbook Deals - stickers and die cuts primarily. I ordered at least 6 albums in the past month. And of course today I will order several boxes of page protectors.

Instead of organizing my office, I started working on a new project 🤦🏻♀️
But I have gotten five or so pages done in my Japan travel album! Granted, it’s the Citrus Twist TN size, so a little easier, ha. But at least it’s something.

I am still organizing my room, but started a TN for coronavirus related things.

Hoping to start afresh today.
March was a wash for me. No scrapping. No cards.
Work was INCREDIBLY busy given we're IN A FREAKING PANDEMIC.
But I need to get back into the craftroom to calm my mind and give me some peace.
Here's hoping.

I scrapped very little in March. And nothing in the last two weeks.
The pandemic, being furloughed at work because of it, kids now schooling from home, stay at home order, etc....
I'm hoping to be able to just sit down and get a chance to scrap this month, but we'll see.

Went crazy scrapping in March. Almost ran out of glue, but thankfully one of the two orders I placed arrived yesterday, so I will be good for the interim.
But will be much busier with other things for at least the first two weeks of April. The only supplies I used so far was a few letter stickers dgs needed for his school assignment.

I hope the scrappy bug will eventually bite me, but I find that there is very little I want to actually do. I've been working on a diamond painting and binging TV if I accomplish anything at all. The only things that are really keeping me sane are when I get lost in a show or talk the family into taking a walk. My nights and days are backwards...I'm a night person by nature and really just want to stave off completely spiraling as long as I can, which means doing whatever I can to have as much peace and quiet as possible. Without a set school schedule and my husband working from home, it was just way too easy to fall into. I was going to scrapbook last night, but ended up sneaking out of the house from 1-3am to play Harry Potter: Wizards Unite in my car.
Let me tell you, if I had known the quarantining was going to happen, I would have saved all of the rearranging and organizing projects I was tackling in January and February to now. As it was, it never occurred to me that the issues in China would end up anywhere else and when it did start to become an issue in the US, I was in complete denial of the school shutdowns being possible even with rumors coming from the school and my husband's work (his union represents school support staff, so I mean, he should know). We just got confirmation today that we're following federal guidelines and keeping the city on lockdown through the end of April, so that's 2 more weeks I have to find my mojo, right?!

Sometimes I think you have to just sit down and try. I don’t often feel like I have the desire to scrap, but once I get going on a project, I tend to do multiple pages at once.

We are not in full lockdown mode, though we are staying at home unless it's essential. With everything going on I made the difficult decision to defer uni for at least 6 months. It's just too much pressure when I'm at home on my own with two young kids and no external support for the forseeable future. So I actually have the freedom and the time to be scrapping and making. But I have no desire to work on anything I have just finished my 2019 DD album so it could just be that I'm feeling a bit of burnout after working so hard on getting that completed.

I have been on a big sorting and scanning project. In my labors I found 2 stamp sets and 3 packs of stickers I bought from AX months ago buried in a basket. It was like getting happy mail cuz I totally forgot I had them.
Yesterday I took a break from that project to do some sewing. I made a summer bathrobe that I bought material for LAST summer. Now I remember why I hate sewing so much. I really need to make my bedroom curtains too. I have been sitting on that material for two years.

I actually scrapped today. Just one page. A pic of my niece & her grandparents. It was a chance to use pink alphas, pink Stickles, Prima flowers, hearts, butterflies, and baby themed rubber stamps.
I also placed my March photos Snapfish order. Delivery is estimated for the 16th.

I found Tulla & Norbert today! This new collection I wanted to use last week was hiding in the camping/hiking section of my seasonal drawer instead of being by the spring/gardening papers where I was SURE I had stored them. Of course today I don't need them, so they thought it might be safe to peek out...
Hoping to get my dgs involved in making Easter cards for his cousins tomorrow or on the weekend. If the SSS kit doesn't arrive tomorrow, I will dig out the dies and stamps and papers I DO have, and see if he wants to play with me. If not, I may just do them on my own.

I did two pages documenting the changes to our daily life. The first was photos of food prep and journaled about no restaurants being open for dining out.
The second was photos of Clorox wipes, my treadmill, a UPS package, and my desk with cards I am making. The title was New Routines.
I also made cards for MIL and my parents.

I received my box of card kit classes from my local paper craft store.
I’m so excited to craft sans thinking. Just open my kit & follow directions. I can do that right? I hope that selling these kits helps my Paper craft store stay afloat.🤞🏻 Because I’m really missing my face to face in person classes and I hope to take them again in the future.

While the kids were napping/resting and the husband was gaming yesterday, I forced myself to sit down and make something. Admittedly it was driven by Victoria Marie's Creative Jumpstart class but it's a step in the right direction!

I don't usually document daily or current affairs - I mostly scrap evently - but I am considering creating a PL spread about the changes to our daily life, too. By this point I should have had a wedding to scrap and a family gathering but both of those had to be cancelled. It only seems right that I create a whole spread dedicated to this disruption to daily life.

By this point I should have had a wedding to scrap and a family gathering but both of those had to be cancelled. It only seems right that I create a whole spread dedicated to this disruption to daily life. I think that is a good idea. Life is really different for all of us. I refuse to let my kids get into a constant summer mentality (although my husband is the one doing most of the work keeping them on task) just in case they return to school, even if just for a few weeks.
I managed to convince the family to go on a walk only once about day 7 of the stay at home order, but this week I've made us all go for a walk (my oldest stopped complaining when we changed our route to flat ground so they could all ride their bikes...my 7 and 5yos would struggle a lot with the big hill in our usual route) every day that my husband wasn't working both of his jobs. My goal is to keep it going every day weather and schedules permit and the family knows it, haha. I'm thinking that I might do either a 9x12 or 12x12 back to back spread with one side focusing on the daily schedule tasks that we have the kids doing and the other repeated photos of different walking days. Like it or not, this is our reality for a while and I don't mind one page with redundant photographs (the schoolish things I will try not to repeat too much) considering it is something I very much look forward to right now. I have some of the step counter related products from Elle's Studio and while I like them a lot, I don't really know how I'd use them as I don't really record that stuff but I feel like I could probably get some of the quote cards into pockets on that page.

This morning i added a few finishing touches on a layout that i mainly did a couple days ago.
I put away six layouts that had been finished and were just waiting to go into their albums.
I wrote a quick bit of journaling about the pandemic & our daily lives on a PL card.
I also took a cut apart card that had APRIL printed on the top, stamped "2020" along the bottom, then stamped "cancelled" on a strip of paper, & adhered it across the center of the card with pop dots.

... I can't find the photos I copied from my childhood photo album. I copied them when I made my parents a scrapbook for their 50th anniversary. It's making me crazy! mikklynn, did you ever find your photos? I misplaced mine awhile ago after I scanned them, and I still don't know where I put them. At least I have the scans.

I am a super organized person, so it is a mystery. I really, really hope I find them during this lockdown.
