I've been watching a lot of youtube scrapbooking video's lately. It seems like they use a LOT of glue. Which I used to think was so old school, but I like the look/ease of the fine tipped glue applicators esp for chipboard. Does anyone use? and what brands?

I love the Art Glitter Glue. You have to buy the fine tip separately. It's great for small items. I also love This glue. A little goes a long way & it dries clear.

I sometimes use a fine-tip glue pen. I have two with slightly different tip sizes. One is the Zig fine-tipped glue pen, and the other is Tombow multi. Of course there's also the chisel-tipped regular Zig pen, which I like too. I like them OK, but for most projects when I need adhesive for a finely detailed item, I just send it through my Xyron X. Probably use that more than all the other glue pens combined.
ETA: I just re-read and saw you were looking to use it for chipboard, which obviously wouldn't work in the Xyron X, LOL. You might like the Tombow for chipboard use.

I use an old Tulip puffy paint container with tacky glue. It comes with a pretty fine nozzle and is squeezable, and I already had it. Keep my favourite Scotch Quick Dry glue in a similar recycled glue bottle that came with a Japanese laser-cut wood kit.

I'm not a fan of the Zig and Tombow. I used them way back in the day, and they never did a great job. Things just fell off.

I tried the Gina K Connectc on Jennifer McGuire's recommendation and absolutely love it, but it is hella pricey ($5.99 for .5 oz). Once I finished using a tube, I tried refilling it with other glues, but they weren't the right consistency to work with that applicator because they didn't flow as well. After doing some searching, I found that a lot of people recommend Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive as being similar. It also has a fine tip but has 2 oz for the same price. I just barely got it in the mail, so I've used it a few times and think it's quite similar but I haven't gone through a full bottle yet. I'm also someone who historically has HATED liquid glue and much preferred to use tape runners or other dry adhesives, but both of these glues are so easy to use and control the flow of that I've been converted.

I buy the fineline applicator bottles, 20 gauge, yellow ones on Amazon and fill them with the scotch quick dry glue that I buy at Michael's with a coupon. That has seemed to work holding just about everything for me.

My new go-to glue is Nuvo Deluxe. Applicator has a good tip and it dries clear. Apparently their glue is like their drops. The first bottle I got was amazing. Tip never seemed to clog, glue went on smooth, right where I wanted it, dried clear, stuck really well. The second bottle was trouble right from the get go. Tip kept clogging, and then it globs out and makes a mess. I snipped the tip off a bit, but now it dries up every time I set it down, so has to be unclogged with a wire, and is still temperamental. In my last SSS kit there was a bottle of their Craft Tacky Glue. Have not tried it yet.

I love the Art Glitter Glue. You have to buy the fine tip separately. Yes, yes yes! This is my glue now. I LOVE it for everything needing wet glue. The fine tip is great except I put washi on the steel pin included so I don't lose it on my desk It compares to GinaK's glue.

I really like the Gina K Connect glue tube. You can get the teeniest dot very easily. But as mentioned it's pricey. Lawn Fawn glue tube is very similar and a bit less expensive. I also like Nuvo Deluxe. I haven't experienced the issues grammadee has, even after several bottles. I keep all my liquid glues upside down though so the are ready to flow, so that may help. And, FWIW I hate the Tombow Mono glue. It's too messy and sticky for me.

And, FWIW I hate the Tombow Mono glue. It's too messy and sticky for me. Agreed on both liking the Nuvo Deluxe and hating Tombow Mono. The Tombow Mono dries sticky (by design - it's a 2 way removable glue if you let it dry first) so if it oozes out from behind whatever you're sticking it will stay sticky forever. I've never forgiven the cardmaker on YT who recommended using that. All my early cards would stick to each other and attract dust and gunk - even after I bought the adhesive eraser that the same YTer recommended, there would always be a little sticky bit left. Nuvo dries clear and matte (as far as I've noticed) and isn't sticky, and it dries FAST. Sometimes a bit too fast for me! I'm indecisive. I've tried the fine tip applicators and glue syringes but they kill my hands. The Nuvo is fine enough if you're careful and hasn't gummed up on me even when I leave the cap off while crafting.

I have Nuvo, Gina K and Art Glitter glue. Art Glitter glue is my favorite. If you have a favorite glue, the scrap perfect no clog tips work pretty well. I used them with glossy accent bottles.

Try adding a tiny bit of water to the glue. It will hold just as well, and it will flow much more easily. I refill my Zig glue pen with other glue and add a little water as necessary until it's the right consistency. Works like a charm.

Art Glitter Glue with the metal fine tip is my go to for very fine lines. I got a bottle of the Nuvo Deluxe glue. It also has a fine tip but not as fine as the Art Glitter Glue. I use both. They now stay out on my desk with my ATG instead of being kept in my adhesive drawer.

Gina K, Lawn Fawn, and Nuvo are my favourites. I just got some Art Glitter Glue and am looking forward to trying that - the bottle is a lot larger than the other ones. I am enjoying using liquid glue again after avoiding it for so many years, it makes stacking die cuts and being able to slightly reposition stuff so much easier.
The tip about watering down your thicker glue is great, I'm going to have to try that next.

Good question. The person that hosts the annual crop that I go to is a close to my heart consultant. She had a fine tipped glue that looked really good. I was planning to buy one but don’t think I did. I should look online at some of the options here.

ellielundstrom.closetomyheart.com/retail/search.aspx?searchvalue=liquid+glassKristin if you find out the CM glue let me know It is Liquid Glass from Close to My Heart. I liked that she also used it on top of things to make shiny embellishments or spots on the paper. I'm still having problems with my browser when using this site so can't copy the link right now. Grrrr. If you go to closetomyheart.com and search for liquid glass you will find it. There is also a fine tip that you can buy.

It is Liquid Glass from Close to My Heart. So this is like glossy accents by Ranger? Great adhesive - only issue is that any "leaked" glue at edges is very obvious where it dries. I also find it shows up more if you use it under vellum or clearish materials.

kitbop I am not sure. I haven't used either. I just saw my friend using the Liquid Glass and was interested in it. I can't remember what she used it for that interested me so much, so I messaged her last night. She said she uses it for everything in scrapbooking as well as for home repairs. I just asked her if it dries clear and will report back.

I like the Nuvo glue, too. I also have some Ranger matte medium and a needlenose bottle/applicator which I haven't yet tried.

My new go-to glue is Nuvo Deluxe. Applicator has a good tip and it dries clear. I was never a liquid glue fan until recently. The Nuvo Deluxe is my go-to, especially for items that don’t fit in my xyron X—or are too small to waste xyron X tape.
