Anyone know of any beach/ocean themed collections that are not filled with palm trees, coconuts, surfboards, tropical plans & flowers, beach umbrellas, tropical drinks, etc? I've got several sets of photos from various non-tropical locations that are oceanside but with rocky coastlines, or some combination of sand and rocks. Some are even places we visited in cool/cold weather so no swimsuits or sunglasses or the like. Typical beach-themed paper collections are no help.
I've done some with pebbled background paper, or other subtle neutrals and textures, but they're getting boring, LOL. I want something more interesting, and maybe some sort of embellishments that would go along with pictures that are more like "wild ocean waves next to rocky coastline and muddy sand on a gray windy day" (Ireland), and "gorgeous sparkling blue water next to 50-ft wall of rock" (Mediterranean & CA) and "beach with no sand just tiny pebbles" (CA, MA).
Any suggestions? LOL, maybe I'm just tired of my same-old-same-old papers...

No suggestions but maybe try nautical themed lines?

I have a paper pad called Beach House by Paper Studio that is sort of distressed but it's all shells and sand and ocean but not a palm tree in sight. I have no idea where the paper came from, it was a gift from my MIL...

I thought of Kaisercraft too, though I couldn't point you to a specific collection. Good luck!
ETA, I looked at Beach Shack that @kendramage mentioned, and I like the colors and textures for photos of a rugged coast, though the ephemera packs are probably too tropical for you. ACOT still has some too

Someone should do a Pacific NW "beach" line - grey, rocky coastlines, people in sweaters and boots, pine trees, clouds, wind and rain... Sort of like HS Wolf Pack but at the coast. A lot of us could use that.

Kaisercraft- Uncharted waters- lighthouses, rope, nautical, some crabs/fish, shells, ships anchors etc. Lots of soft blues, browns and greens. Sorry not sure how to link pictures. I love tropical beach papers because we holiday in tropical places but I too wanted some less "beachy" paper for our home beach holidays which are more rugged and rough.

There are nautical lines in red, white, blue, gray. I’m always a sucker for a nautical line. One of my favorites is “Ahoy There” by Echo Park, I see the collection pack offered on EBay. “Deep Blue Sea” by Carta Bella is at Scrapbook.com www.scrapbook.com/store/cbp-cbdb102016.html?w=Deep+blue+sea

A lot of us could use that. It would be called "beachcomber" and it would include images of ferries on the water, rocky small uninhabited islands, sea otters, an orca or two, a wet suit, some bull kelp, sea dollars, clam shells, barnacles, and sayings like "I wear my rubber boots to the beach". I miss my coast. I think "Wolf Pack" is EXACTLY the feel it should have!

I have a similar issue trying to scrap beach photos from Lake Michigan or our smaller inland lakes. Not all beaches have palm trees!

Wild Whisper Designs has a collection called Lake Life that might work. It might be worth reaching out to them with your idea - they do a lot of Canadian wilderness feel collections, and rugged, chilly coastal would fit right in with what they design. I agree with the other peas that suggested nautical, there are great nautical lines by Echo Park and Photoplay, among others. My other suggestion would be to look for older “at the lake” lines.

I am sure the tropical beaches are lovely, but they can’t be as lovely as our coastline. I wonder if that line will ever happen. It can’t only be the upper west coast that has beaches like that, wouldn’t the east coast utilize something like that to? I wonder if Steve Duncan would be up for the challenge?

Yes, joblackford , I love the idea of a PNW line similar to Wolf Pack, and yes, I think the East Coast scrappers (I'm mid-Atlantic) could use it as well. I would definitely use a line like you're suggesting. I've checked out a lot of the lines suggested above and now have some good ideas - thank you all!

Also, HOW have I never heard of Wild Whisper Designs before??? Not necessarily for my current beach-y project needs but I looooove almost all the paper lines. I love the fresh designs, the colors (hardly any pinks, and a lot of blues, greens, and neutrals - my go-to colors), the themes - I want to buy it all! Unfortunately my bank account and existing stash of scrappy paper say otherwise, sadly...but I think I will be adding a few things to my cart later on when I can afford to buy stuff again.
Their designs are the first paper collections I've looked at in in a looong time that feel truly new and fresh, not the same old stuff that ever other line does (I'm looking at you, AC)!

I tried searching cliffs, rocks, coastal, and got nothing. It’s like trying to find Christmas collections that aren’t freezing weather / snow themed. I hope you find something that will work for you.

Check out scrapyourtrip.com. They have every type of beach you could want. Yes, there is tropical but lots of others. www.scrapyourtrip.com/beach.htmlI also search other parameters like lake, water, etc and find even more. You can also look under the place or type of place and find even more, like rocky cliffs in Ireland, for example. I have scrapped Maine beaches in winter and northern California beaches and Arizona lake beaches and I always find paper I can use that fits the mood of the photos.

The new echo park line is non tropical ocean, but maybe not beachy enough.

I’d love to meet these “people” who buy all the same-old-same-old scrappy products because they don’t seem to be the people who hang out here.
