Dog has cancer, final decisions

I’m sorry. We have lost two boxers to cancer. If you can, I think you should be with him at the end. You may be able to find a vet that will come to the house and give the injection at home. My advice, for what it’s worth, is to keep him comfortable for as long as you can and put him down once he starts showing signs of discomfort. We waited too long with our last pup. As far as when to get a new pup, or just depends on when you feel ready. I really missed having a dog in the house and got a Mastiff mix less than a year later and we just got a new boxer puppy in December
