We now have the President of the United States pushing a drug for coronavirus that has not been approved by the FDA because they are still testing it. He wants you to take it and if it doesn’t work “nothing lost by doing it.”
Maybe it’s just me, but I think that is terribly irresponsible.

Did you catch the part where he suggested medical personnel should be taking it prophylactically?
I think he and his family should volunteer to take it first. In whatever dose he "feels" is appropriate.

Plus, doesn’t that stuff have a bunch of potential side effects? There could be a LOT of harm to people if they experience dangerous side effects.   What an idiot. There are reasons why these drugs have to through clinical trials. |

This is so fucking dangerous.
This whole Trump pretending to be a doctor telling us what we should medicate ourselves with is the scariest thing about this whole damn ordeal. There is so much potential for harm with what he is doing.
I wish he would shut his fucking mouth and leave this part up to the doctors and researchers.

I don't know if his mother really fucked him up (she used to tell him that he looked like Robert Redford!!!) or if he's looking into some magical mirrors, but this guy is the ugliest mf'er (inside and out). Eeeks!!!!!!!!!! He's got lizard skin, a butthole of a mouth, stubby fingers, orange coloring, cotton candy "hair", shoes with lifts that make his HUGE body tip forward.......... and on top of that he swings his arms oddly, moves his hands very oddly, moves his shoulders side to side and is just imposing and intrusive. That's not even MENTIONING his lack of a brain!!!!!!
I say, "You go first" with the hydroxychloroquine! I swear, he's only repeating it often because it's a word he learned and he could pronounce it! He probably goes home and says, "I killed it! I'm so smart. I know what that drug is!!!!" Asshat!

I really have to wonder which family member(s) and friends have stock in the manufacturer of said drugs. Or if he just heard it on Fox News after one “study” of 26 patients that had all the bad results dropped and decided it’s just the magic he needs to win.
I’ll take my medical advice from Drs without agendas and scientific studies with controls and listen to the experts personally.
These are not benign drugs to be taken lightly without medical need and study and I’m so sad for those who have been taking them and now find themselves without because Fox News and POTUS are trying to find a miracle after lying about the virus for months.

He’s an asshole. But my take is that it took many days for him to learn to say the name of the drug, so he’s using that word as often as possible. The damage he is doing by whipping his supporters up is going to be awful

BTW - just a side note about this drug family - it is pretty dangerous for people with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome to take any of these. So what he is recommending could actually kill people since most people with EDS are undiagnosed.
And as another side note...if any of my immediate family or parents get this virus and esp if they pass away, I will be suing the shit out of Trump personally.

I for one don’t give a crap if he doesn’t wear a mask. It raises the chances that he’ll eventually test positive for COVID, and if he does it will be his own damn dumb fault and he’ll deserve whatever misery he gets. I’m pretty sure that he won’t wear one because he is one of the vainest people who ever walked the earth. |

There is a lot lost, particularly for those with Lupus/other things(I forget) and those who take it in areas with Malaria who are now having issues getting it. And it is happening as we have heard from several peas already! The doctors who are prescribing it for others to hoard and are hoarding it for themselves, who should be investigated for their actions! |

I’m listening to Dr Duc Vuong and he’s talking to a Dr in NY on the front line. When both of them say they can’t watch Trumps daily briefings, because he is blatantly misleading the public when he starts talking medical stuff he has no business talking about, then that’s all I need to know about them.
I don’t understand why the press don’t challenge them more openly on that, tbh.

Also, he has access to that federal stockpile that’s just for them apparently, so he’ll be saved with that. |

I took this drug for my autoimmune disease. I no longer take it, as I was still having severe effects from the disease, and I'm pretty sure it was making my hair fall out.
I've moved on twice to other medications, and I'm not sure they're working great either, but at least my hair is growing back. I'm just concerned about my current drug, as it suppresses my immune system (it is typically given to transplant patients), so I have a higher likelihood of catching COVID-19 than most people my age do.
