It was like Christmas when we got our first order - we loved seeing all the fresh produce. Now we treat it like Chopped. You have this, this and this. Make dinner.

ETA: Oh my gosh, watching items get clicked and put in the cart is the most exciting thing I have done in a really long time. My parent's shared their shopping list with me through the Keep Notes app because I do their shopping right now. They knew I was shopping yesterday and made the same comment about being able to watch the items get clicked off. I could tell they were watching because they added a thing or two as I was shopping. LOL The only thing on their list I couldn't get was TP.

Happy dance! I found some alcohol based screen wipes to leave for our Instacart shopper and she was thrilled.

We are so excited. Doing the happy girl dance already. It's a fairly large order because we hear that many people are only getting half their items, so we wanted to be sure 50% would be enough for us. Obviously extra won't be a problem. Already messaged our shopper thanking him for what he is doing. Getting dressed and in the car so we can be ready to get them from our friends steps after they get delivered. Nervous, but so excited. This is just crazy. If you would have told me last year that this is what I would be doing now, I would have never believed you. ETA: Oh my gosh, watching items get clicked and put in the cart is the most exciting thing I have done in a really long time. This cracked me up!! Glad you are gettin some (maybe all? Of you your order!)

I put my first order yesterday. I hope that at least half of my order is in stock. I am out of so many things! My granddaughter works at Food Lion and she brought over a pack of tp and threw it on our porch. We really didn’t need it but it’s the thought that counts. Our Instacart order is for tomorrow.

I did an Aldi order through Instacart earlier this week and know exactly how you felt! It was such a thrill every time something else was successfully taken off a shelf. I’m so grateful for the shoppers and grocery workers.

I did my first Wegmans Instacart order last night. I'd been slowly building up my cart, but there were never any pick up or delivery spots available so I figured I'd just end up going to the store. I checked randomly at 6:00 last night and there was a spot for 2 hour delivery available! I grabbed it and everything was delivered 90 minutes later. Two items were substituted - medium eggs for large and basmati rice for jasmine - but otherwise I got everything I ordered. I was pleasantly surprised since I'd been hearing horror stories.
My shopper was great so I tipped generously. I don't know if I'll shop this way all the time but it's nice to have the option.

I was just making an order and they had an opening for tonight and I was so excited I was hollering at my husband to hurry up and tell me what else he wanted because we were expecting not to get an order till next week and I thought I would have time to add stuff! I am sure there are things I forgot, but I did remember coffee and ice cream , hopefully those show up! Thank goodness I cleaned the fridge out this morning.
It is pitiful what is cause for excitement in 2020!

We are in NY and I did my first pick up order from Instacart yesterday. You are all taking about tipping but I had no opportunity to leave a tip! I just looked again and there is no spot at all for that! What am I doing wrong?

I just looked again and there is no spot at all for that! What am I doing wrong? You had an ISS- in-store shopper- who gets an hourly wage and never leaves the store. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think they get tips. Some areas have shoppers and then a different delivery person- not sure how tipping works for them, either. In my area, we have FSS- full service shoppers who do both shopping and delivery. We rely on tips.

Oh ok! When I picked up the order they just send a customer service rep out to give it to me. That’s good to know! I felt horrible that I didn’t tip.

I have been trying and trying to get a Meijer delivery for my parents 1100 miles away. Finally last night it went through. Then as I'm on phone with my mom, I realize I told them the wrong color of the house (they recently had it painted) in the note to the driver. I can't find a way to fix it. The address is correct, so hopefully it will go smoothly. They don't get it until tomorrow afternoon. Crossing my fingers that it will go well because it took weeks to get them to agree to delivery. I was so excited to get through. It is the first time I slept all night in a week.
We had a Kroger pick up last night. When DH got there, they said they had over 100 pickups yesterday and only 5 people to shop. It would be at least an hour until it was ready. It was already 7:00 p.m. They said it would be better if we could come back this morning after 9:00 a.m. Hopefully we will get a good portion, but I'm fine with whatever we get.
Instacart would be great for things for my parents, but if it went wrong, I'd never hear the end of it. LOL I guess I thought that they delivered, but it sounds like you have to go pick it up?
