I am wearing one when I go to the grocery store, which is every 2 weeks. If I am just walking in the neighborhood, or in my backyard, or taking a ride, then I don't wear one.

I made myself and DH a couple for when we have to go places where there will be other people indoors like the store or for him to wear when he has to work in people’s homes. But if I’m going out to walk around our neighborhood or out in our yard, no. It’s easy enough to stay far enough away from people in the open air.
I’m about to go to the pharmacy to pick up DD’s Rx and I won’t wear it there because the one we go to has a contactless drive up window. If I had to physically go in I would.

When I am walking the dogs or fishing: no
When I am going to the grocery store: every time.

I do not, but grocery stores are about to require them on everyone, so I suppose I'll have to conform Since when? And where are you? Everyone around here is suddenly wearing masks, and now it's like they think they are invincible. No more distancing, no more leaving space for people, no more caution. One ass practically tripped me in the grocery this morning trying to nudge in front of me to grab something. I turned and stared at him and he had the *fucking* nerve to pull his mask away and ask me why I wasn't wearing a mask. I just said I liked taking my chances, and hoped he liked it too. Asshole. Northern California. Starting Monday Nugget supermarket won't allow anyone in without a mask. Usually it just takes one place implementing a rule before the rest are following it. I expect by the end of next week all the stores will require a mask.

I wear one pretty consistently walking around my building and in store. The exception I am when I’m outside with no one in sight and in those cases it’s around my neck so I can pull it up when I see someone approaching.

When I'm outside walking, no. I never get within 20 feet of anyone. My neighborhood is super quiet.
When I go out to a shop, always. I had enough elastic to sew them for my family.

I wear one to the grocery store - once a week - that's the only time I leave our property. Dh wears one at work (required) - he's in an office environment and is an essential worker in an essential industry. The girls have one but haven't left the house since early March.
DS wears them to the grocery store or the communal laundry room/mail boxes. Despite DoD guidence to the contrary, his Command has explicitly said masks are not to be worn in uniform. He's carrying one in a pocket so if/when that changes, he can wear it.

Yes. They're makeshift ones, but I cover my face every time I go outside, and have done so ever since our governor requested it. I live in a large condo complex and have neighbors who are elderly and neighbors who are fighting cancer. I want to protect them and myself and am taking no chances.

I've been out 2x. I didn't. I was only out of my car once for pumping gas and no one was within 6 feet of me. I'm thinking of wearing one for my next curbside pickup.

I put every time because I will from now on. I hadn’t been but I only go out once a week.

That is awesome! We could be mask buddies. We are certainly going to have the best looking masks when we go out!

I wear one to the store. I try to go to the main store once a week and if I need fresh produce in between to go to the smaller independent store that offers better produce to support them. Anywhere else, I don't because if I leave the house for anything else, it's for a walk or the drive thru.

I have not worn one yet at all, but it's been a week since I've been in any sort of 'public' setting like the grocery store. I do walk for exercise a lot and don't wear a mask for that as it's easy enough to avoid any contact with people in my neighborhood. I'm also out in my yard a lot working or with the dog and see no reason to wear one for that.

I picked choice #2, we don't for our daily walks and bike rides, but I wore one the last time I had to go inside a store.

I almost made myself a Mickey one out of the scraps of fabric I had leftover from making a tote bag, and considered making one from a piece of Hello Kitty fabric I bought for a different project that I never ended up making. I might still, LOL.

I made a whole bunch of masks. We wear them into stores, but, in my area of Utah, almost no one is, and, apparently, there are people actively mocking others who do. Because our Governor felt people in this state had "good common sense" (Spoiler: they really don't) he wouldn't have to issue any sort of shelter at home rule and it seems a majority of the population has taken that to mean, "we're fine, quit overreacting you snowflakes."
So, we get looks, and probably comments we aren't hearing, but, even if all it does it keeps me from dragging my fingers across my face after I touch the dairy case, then it's a win.
We also mostly stay home.

I just hear Sanjay Gupta say on CNN that you do NOT need to wear a mask while walking around outside - walking the dog, working in the yard, etc. He then showed several types of cloth masks for going into public places. And his daughter sewed the. cutest. mask. for Anderson Cooper.

I haven't yet, but I will the next time I have to go to the grocery store. Dh is a dentist, so I have one that he gave me. I did wear gloves the last time.

I don't go out.
In the last month plus I've gone for a drive twice. Didn't get out the car. STILL have my mask with me. Now I don't even go for a drive due to new policies. Hubby is the only one who goes out and he ALWAYS wears a mask at my insistence.

Wearing masks, especially homemade ones, is not recommended here.

We also mostly stay home. I just saw a twitter post from a woman who said another woman mocked her in line at the grocery store for wearing a mask. She replied that she was an off duty nurse wearing the mask for other people's protection and would happily take it off for that woman. Mocker backed off real quick.

I wore one on Monday when I had to go to grocery stores. At the first store, during the hour for seniors and vulnerable people, most were wearing masks, including the first six of us to go in the store.
I won’t wear one when I go out into my yard or sit on the front porch. Any neighbors I talk to at those times are way more than six feet away.
I do have a nearly full box of earloop masks from when my husband started chemo three years ago.

I am in a high-risk category (severe asthma) and so far have managed to not go out except twice to the store. I wear a mask if I need to leave my house.

Yes, we wear them every time we go out. I believe it will help if a carrier is breathing out there (or coughing, sneezing, etc) everywhere, and if infected people are wearing them, then they aren’t spreading it further via breathing, sneezing, coughing or spitting, etc).

Yes except for walking the dogs at 7 a.m. in the neighborhood. I have my "heart" daughter at home. I cannot bring it home to her. We only go out once a week to do grocery pickup. Yesterday I had to stop by my office for the first time in 3 weeks, and I was concerned just being there around people. I have my mask on as soon as I leave the house, drive in it, wear it without touching it until I get home. Then I carefully remove it by holding it by a string, and put it down in a laundry bag immediately into the washer. Yes, I have quite a system.
