Hills, valleys, sudden stops, restarts, a little road rage. Oddly comforting. Felt like I’d switched on autopilot in my car. Also made me hungry. Y’all have much more ambitious lunches than I do. F’r’instance, I remember making recommendations for Chanukah gifts for your son who loved NYC but hated LA. (Yes, I have a freakishly good memory.) Answers:1a. The (crashing) realization one day that any tonal/civility efforts I made in political threads, where I regularly hung, were ultimately a waste of time and words. 1b. The (mounting) realization that the revolving stable of alters birthed by one “former” member was a very serious threat to this community and a violation of the trust we placed in each other. It regularly tainted my experience and I didn’t like how it infected my responses. 2. Been meaning to dive back in for a very long time, as I honestly missed the community and the “friendships.” And then, in this last mongobizarro month, I found myself wondering and worrying about y’all. A virus drove me out and a virus done brung me back. I suspect I sound like a loon, but you asked. LOL. |
