Finished this New York Puzzle Company Sirius Black puzzle. The colors were really tough and it took a while. DD and I worked on it together - she’s a huge HP fan. It was a great way to spend time together. This Escher puzzle is up next. I love the Escher one. I saw a fabulous exhibition of his work in Melbourne last year, and would love to try some of them as puzzles.

We saw a fabulous Escher exhibit in Boston two years ago, and this puzzle print was part of it. I've been a huge fan since college -- engineering students are always so intrigued by his work.

If you see a White Mountain Puzzle that you like that is out of stock, you can ask to be notified when it's available.
I was in LOVE with the LOVE Stamps puzzle, so I asked for the notification. I also checked their currently in-stock puzzles list every few days to see if it was added. I was surprised when I got an email from White Mountain saying it was available. I clicked the link in the email and ordered it and received it quickly. (Plus another one to get free shipping:) It was still listed as out of stock on the website, and I never saw it on the list of in-stock puzzles.
Unfortunately every time I checked for this puzzle I got more facebook ads for scam versions! I feel sorry for the legit puzzle companies right now.

I just got this one for daughter for her birthday. She wanted 1,000 pc puzzle. Now to figure out where she can work on it... They are really fun! I bought a felt puzzle roller upper thing (lol) that we can put away when we're not working on it because I don't have space to leave it out. I was wondering about those puzzle roller thingys - does it work as you hoped? I would love to get a puzzle table but they are sold out and this is a much less expensive alternative.

I've had it since April and only do 1,000pc pieces and it has been perfect for rolling up and putting away for the next time. This is the one I bought. I was wondering about those puzzle roller thingys - does it work as you hoped? I would love to get a puzzle table but they are sold out and this is a much less expensive alternative. I found that the roll up thing will seperate the puzzle if it is one that doesn't fit tightly. Also some puzzles are larger than the table I work at. So I got a sheet of laminate board from Home Depot (2x4 feet) and had it cut to 2x3 feet. I then added cut yardsticks to one top, and one side, with heavy duty double stick tape. This allows me to measure to determine if my border proportions are correct, protects the puzzle from sliding off, and I can pick it up and move to another table, or slide under couch, if I need to hide it for a while. It is also handy if the height of the puzzle is larger than my 2x4 foot table, so I can look at the puzzle the correct way. Cost less than $10, and less than the felt thing. I can also add a piece of poster board on top, if I get a whim to switch to another puzzle for a while.

What a great idea! It sounds much nicer than my big sheet of cardboard made from two Amazon boxes! I do love an easy way to move the puzzle under a bed if necessary.

LOL.. we also did another one like this.. it was called Spring something or another.. city with lots of pink trees and flowers. Did you find this one hard?

I really want this puzzle spinner! Maybe Christmas. I have a non-spinner table that is similar. It balances nicely on a tv table so that I can work on puzzles while sitting at the couch.

Yes, I found it more difficult than the Cuba one I did, and more difficult than Paris. So much red in it, the red took forever! I did end up caving and getting the Spring one on Park Avenue, but I don't know when I will do it - the trees look all alike, looks hard!

When we did Spring on Park Ave.. we put together the top and bottom first and then hit the pink trees and then filled in with the flowers.. The flowers were the worst. There is no looking at them and even trying to see where they go.. it's all 'take a piece and move it from spot to spot till it fits'. UGGGG.. but they are beautiful puzzles so it's worth it. We had a little system. My son (SHOCKER that he even helped us) put together all the cabs, DD started the buildings and I did the people on the sidewalk. So then we would get stuck and trade spaces and work on something new.

Finished the 500 piece Songbird puzzle on Friday but forgot to take a photo. It was fun and easy! Here's what it looks like. Finished Michael Storrings Japanese Garden puzzle today too. 300 thick pieces but still challenging!

I was wondering about those puzzle roller thingys - does it work as you hoped? I would love to get a puzzle table but they are sold out and this is a much less expensive alternative. I have a roller thing and my biggest problem with it was I still ended up taking over the dining room table when I pulled it out to work on a puzzle. For our pandemic puzzle making we started using an extra 20x30 inch canvas as our base and it fits over the coffee table perfectly. If I needed to move it out of the room, it is easy to pick up and put on or under the guest bed. We've done quite a few square puzzles in the last few months and DH cut a 30" square piece of foam core to sit over the canvas. After 3 weeks of on & off work, I sat down this morning and spent 3 hours finishing off this pizza puzzle. It is way harder than it looks, but worth the effort.

I’ve recently done these 3. I started a Harry Potter collage puzzle, but the pieces were so tiny and the picture on the box was also very small, making it hard to see what exactly was in each picture. I decided not to waste any more time because I wasn’t enjoying it, so gave it my neighbors who have two tween girls with much better eyes than I have. I’m not wasting time on puzzles that I don’t enjoy.

It was a great way to spend time together. This Escher puzzle is up next. I bought a Harry Potter collage puzzle by the same company. I ended up putting it back in the box and giving it away. The pieces were too small and the colors were hard, not to mention that the pictures in the collage were small and then the pictures on the box (which was as small as the box for yours) were so small that I couldn’t even tell what a number of elements of the picture were. There were 20 pictures in the collage in a puzzle no bigger than this one. I might have done much better with a single picture Potter puzzle.

I had one Harry Potter puzzle that had a slight difference from the box (there was a detailed border around the image that was not pictured on the box) so they kindly included a correct picture in the box. No joke the picture they included was 2.5 by 1.5 inches!!!! It was a Niffler puzzle and it was adorable, but a beast as it was mostly black. I did a Hedwig puzzle similar to the one posted above, and it was challenging, but I enjoyed it,
*Yes, I realize Nifflers are Fantastic Beasts, not technically HP, but same universe, I apologize for the egregious error, 😀

Oh heavens! That looks so hard. I don’t think that I’d have the patience to solve a puzzle that was substantially different than the box. I can’t wait to see how it turns out and how long it will take you.
