christine58 we are heartbroken for you and your family. I can’t even imagine your nephew and his wife’s agony. I read people are using plastic curtains to hug in difficult situations. I’m making beef vegetable soup in the instant pot. I am scared to death of that thing. I can’t find the manual for it. I think I’ve had it a couple years and have used it a handful of times. 🤞🏻 Went to the grocery and they had all the hoarded items. I only got Clorox wipes. That’s what I needed besides food. They even had toilet paper.

christine58 , you brother must be in complete shock that this happened, again. Sounds like you have a very close family and you'll all be there to support eachother and to hold up the grieving parents and grandparents. My heart goes out to you, Christine. leannec, know that even if you do get it the odds are that it will just be a virus that goes away w/o a hospital involved. You're healthy and strong. You might want to find out if you have to go into real quarantine for 14 days, but I bet you'll be OK. brandy327 , I'm sending you tons of sheep to count. May you be asleep by the time the 3rd sheep jumps over the fence.

christine58 - Words are inadequate but they are the only way to tell you how sorry I am to read of your family's devastating loss. It's a tragic event made all the worse by the accommodations you must make because of the virus. Find comfort in the love of your family. I will keep you in my prayers. And leannec - I'm sure the news of your co-worker's positive test must be unsettling. Sending positive thoughts, both for her case to be mild and for you to avoid it. Dinner tonight was roasted tomato pasta, one of our favorites.

christine58 .....I am SO, so sorry !!!!!!!! You're still reeling from your Dad's death, and now, this precious baby! And for your brother to have had the same experience years ago AND to see his own son go through it, too! I'm praying for all of you, but it just doesn't seem sufficient. (( hugs ))

DSO channelled his inner- lucyg and bought a roast chook from Costco. We can't believe how cheap they are, and tasty too. It cost $7 which might sound expensive to you, but is cheaper than other supermarkets and nearly half the price of one from a roast chicken takeaway shop, where we pay $13!! In fact, it just about cheaper than a raw one from the supermarket, which we then have to cook ourselves. We had the chicken in tortilla wraps with coleslaw etc.

AussieMeg, they cost $4.99 here but I think our dollar is worth a little more than yours, right? So there wouldn’t be much difference in the real price. They keep the price low to sucker people like me into the store. I read in a business journal once that they will never raise the price (it hasn’t changed since the ’80s or whenever they introduced it) because it’s their signature item. Also, you all, I forget to say earlier, guess what I ended up eating for dinner last night ... half a bag of Easter pastel-colored peanut M&Ms ... ugh. I felt so disgusting afterwards, I couldn’t eat anything else. So now I’ve decided all I’m eating tonight is the chicken/veggie/noodle soup. Nothing goopy and gross!
