Yes, it was Rao's. It tasted exactly like the homemade marinara I make when I grow a good crop of tomatoes. I may well buy it again it was so good. Out of curiosity was the marinara sauce Rao’s? That stuff’s expensive but good. My worst substitution was my shopper wanted to replace baking powder with all purpose. I know some would have loved that sub, lol but I have APF.
[/div]
Ha! I saw it reviewed on America's Test Kitchen and it was voted best jarred marinara. When I went to buy it my eyes bugged out when I saw it was $8/jar, lol. I don't make pasta often, but this will be my store bought brand for sure!

I had ordered a pickup at store yesterday at Target (present for dd and it showed as the last one in stock so I ordered it ASAP). When I got there I thought I'd look for baking powder as I had ordered it from a local store but wasn't sure I'd get it and I needed it to make dd's birthday cake this weekend as mine is outdated. I happened to glance over and see the TP shelves had Charmin! I haven't been able to find anything but Scott's or Angel Soft (or worse) since this started. Dh has been complaining. I got an 18 pack of Mega Rolls. I would have done a happy dance right there but I was about to pass out from the heat and steam from my mask.

Depending on which store I can get a slot at, I've been going back and forth between Walmart grocery and Instacart at Food Lion. They are both so-so here. But last week I asked for some produce from Walmart and ALL of it said it was out of stock. Dh walked into the walmart and there's TONS of produce! All what I had asked for that was "out of stock" was there. What the heck?!

I got a big bottle of bleach yesterday.
I never thought the day would come when that would be my "jackpot" news, but there it is.
Our stores have been out of Raos for WEEKS and I have had to resort to making my own again. Nice first-world problem to have, I know.

I asked for 5lbs of russet potatoes, and got one with a note that they were out. I forgot to indicate that I'd take other potato types.
Otherwise, I've not had any odd substitutions, but Costco did suggest bagged popcorn in lieu of flour. Thankfully, flour was in stock.

I got a big bottle of bleach yesterday. I never thought the day would come when that would be my "jackpot" news, but there it is. The week before our area went on high alert for Coronavirus and then got locked down I attended a teen scout weekend trip where they did some craft involving bleach and black t shirts. The person who ran the activity bought too much bleach and at the end of the weekend was begging the adults to take it home. No one wanted it so I now have several bottles of bleach. I keep waiting for other scout leaders to ask for some. I haven’t seen any bleach, disinfectant or TP in stores in weeks

You can order directly from them online. I was on their website not too long ago and they sell a lot more than I've seen in stores. I've bought their pizza sauce in the past which I thought was really good, and I saw online they sell soup. Unfortunately the soup didn't get great reviews.
(The quote feature seems a little messed up, sorry.)
