This has been on going for a while and I am so over it. Today, even tylenol isn't stopping it. It isn't so bad that I want to curl up in a ball and cry, but is bad enough that I don't really want to move much
Any advice?

I don’t want to scare you but Covid is famous for horrible headache maybe you should get tested.

I've had a headache since Friday night. Nothing is making it better. I got tested for coronavirus this morning. (I have other symptoms, as well.)

I had one of the other - a hot, long shower in a dark bathroom made it go away.

How frequently do you get headaches? Sounds like you could be experiencing migraines.

How frequently do you get headaches? Sounds like you could be experiencing migraines. Typically, not very often. This one feels like someone is playing with a claw machine and trying to pull me up by the sides of my head (near my temples).

I'm sorry you are in pain. Migraines are the worst and I used to tell DH that my head felt like I had a permanent case of brain freeze and sea sickness.

Excedrin or BC powder is the only thing that works for me. A coke and red licorice help, too! ETA: I hope you find some relief!

I've been having crazy bad headaches due to allergies...the pollen count has been very high here in north TX. Both days I spent a lot of time outside, I had a horrible headache within a couple of hours and it lasts a long time...needless to say, I'm getting back on my OTC allergy meds EVERY DAY!!!!

When I get headaches the only thing that works is Excedrine Migraine. Same. Except I have to follow it up with a can of Coke (I don’t drink coke anymore but keep emergency cans in the fridge just for this purpose!) Hope you are feeling better now!

I've had an additional (adding on to my daily chronic/severe pain with my eye socket) "migraine-like" headache every single day for months. Over 2 months ago I saw my eye surgeon to rule things out. Everything was healing and she suggested seeing my pain mgmt doctor and possibly doing an MRI. Pain doctor suggested just xrays. Then all of the Covid mess happened. I DID check with my primary and all they said was that I have a deviated septum (hello? I knew that!!!!!). So, NO idea of what I have or what to do, but it's apparently not infected.
Okay, back to going down my list of meds and suggestions for you.......
*Do you ever get sinus headaches or sinus infections? Is this like that? Is it pain in your face or the base of your neck?
*Is your blood pressure in check??
*Are you dehydrated? (Could easily cause headaches and migraines)
*Can you try different OTC things (sudafed, excedrin, allergy meds like allegra)?? I'd never suggest anything-I don't know what your case history is BUT with all of my eye issues, I know that when I'm out of my Allegra and I don't have sudafed as an additional backup, I'm screwed.
*How is the pain feeling? What type of pain is it? Is this new? Severe? Nauseating?
I think I told you before that I put a WARM washcloth over my face for a few minutes and it helps. The nausea point comes on quickly for me, so I just keep my vomit bins closeby. Sucks. Try to keep hydrated. Drink coffee if you can to see if that would help............
Most importantly, check your blood pressure. If things check out, I'd call my primary just to go over things you might be missing. I truly hope you feel better!! I have a drawer-full of generic Maxalt (for migraines) that I can't use--does nothing for me. The brand Maxalt, 10 mg, does help, but this new headpain is truly untouchable for me and it's lasted well over 2 months. I feel for you. xo
P.S.: When this Covid is all said and done, you'll have to see your primary doctor, maybe see a neurologist, an eye doctor, get your vision checked, maybe see a Retina specialist, etc.................. There's a lot they should check out!

I dont get headaches often, but when I do, I squeeze the fleshy part of my hand between the thumb and pointer finger. There is a pressure point in there that eleviates it immediately for me.

If it is all on one side it might be migraine. Mine are pain in eye, nose, cheek, neck, shoulder - all one side. If not, (and if it's not covid related) is your BP ok? Allergies?
If none of those, an ice pack on my head and a lay-down works best for me, plus two tylenol and one motrin.

2 excedrin migraine and a can of Coke. Usually knocks out my migraines within about 2 hours.

Real Coke, has to have the sugar, a dark room, no noise and an ice pack. Good luck

I get migraines so I have prescription meds, but sometimes I use Excedrine or BC Powder, and a Coke and they go away. When I'm really desperate I sometimes get in a hot bath and then lie down. Ice packs help the pain too. I hope you start feeling better soon!

My area really only tests if you need to go to the hospital. I made it from the bed to the couch and took a nap there.
I don't have a cough or runny nose. I just want to sleep.
