Oh darn! I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you!! I came up couponing and I am that person that pays sooooo much attention to sales. Instacart seems to neutralize that. (But not so much with CVS it seems!) I wouldn’t pay for it, but I am healthy and am already going out for my normal job, as is my son, so, well. Anyway. I didn’t know til this thread that you could do a membership type thing to minimize delivery charges. But you know, I do notice that folks that only have a few items that need a drive are bundled with other orders. I. Guess I would do it for produce and pantry staples, but not ice cream using the membership. Thanks! I've used it before and it was a blessing!!!!!!! I'd never pay for the membership. I'm really hoping that one day I could begin doing my own food shopping once again! Glad you and your son are both well enough that you don't have to worry!!!
I DO try to order $50 worth of items to keep the other costs of the delivery down, but there are always added fees in there and then the tip too......... It's definitely a luxury that I'd never normally do!
Well... that is the thing. Someone else mentioned they didn’t like their order bundled (totally get it.) But that happens with smaller orders, and I think it could go two ways. 1) make It more affordable, or 2) make it possible. I mean. Driving 16-25 miles for a 30$ payment is just crazy. I think they are batching to make it more affordable , but I think it alienates a person who had a smaller order that got batched, from placing a single full service order. I just can’t believe that my literal 2 hours of in touch shopping plus driving was only worth $25. Of course the person tipped well.. but Instacart is getting a hella benefit.
