DGD was helping her mom plant marigolds, and apparently plucked all the flowers from the stems immediately after. DH has started a small garden on herbs and vegetables in our side yard.

Your photos of the willing little gardener made me giggle, myboysnme! I should have taken a photo of our young dog "helping" us plant potatoes yesterday. We keep our own seed potatoes and put them into the ground with the new vines attached. I looked back and she was busy pulling on one of the vines, ready to dig out the potato!

Gorgeous flowers! I think the lilacs are blooming in Pennsylvania as well! Your DGD is soooo cute. That's a cute story about the marigolds. Then, funny you should mention the lilacs. Here in my part of Central Pennsylvania the lilacs have not fully opened yet. I LOVE lilac time and look forward to it all year. We always cut a vaseful and bring it in. I keep checking and finally a few little buds were open yesterday, but it's so cold that they are calling for a little snow tonight. I have the May scraplift layout planned for a lilac photo, so I hope they open soon.

I finally got yeast so I was trying out artisan bread proofed in my Instant Pot. It was very good! I will definitely do this again.

Here is proof that I was a gnomie the LAST time they were cool! These are ceramic gnomes I painted over 35 years ago. They have been hang in’ out in my kids’ rooms ever since. I need to scrap these with the gnome supplies I have been collecting! That last one really needs to be DUSTED! They prob ALL do, but I really noticed it on this photo LOL. Okay, so... print and scrap??? or do housework??? That is the question...

Here is my picture of our local golf course. They are now open and I saw lots of happy golfers in their carts and "teeing off." I took this picture through the gate. LOL! Golf Course by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr

We played golf on Saturday. Love getting out with the kids! I don’t even really like Dutch Bro’s coffee but I am motivated by their dang stickers! We had to go get the Mother’s Day sticker.

I do a 2 page annual layout of DGD including one photo from each month. I try to make it a bit themed and knew I wanted to do something with flowers for May. Yesterday I was able to take a few shots by my azalea, which is actually about 20+ years old but never grew because it was crowded out by a tree that we had removed last year. So finally it can fullfill its destiny! Here are my 2 favorites from yesterday. I will use the first one on the layout.

lynnek - I see blueberries in your photo! This year I have been all about blueberries in everything! Well almost everything. I am wondering how you did that photo with you all in the mirror and the stats - you take such interesting photos! KikiPea - I love those photos capturing so much fun with your loved ones! The Mother's Day photo is priceless! jjpeapea - those photos are fabulous! You really captured a variety this month and it will be interesting to see how you scrap them! I adore the pink flowers of course! (My favorite color) grammadee - as always you capture such detailed photos! The gnomes you saved all these years make me laugh! I am such a theme scrapper I would have to make a gnome paper layout with those! kellyr21 - I don't play golf but how fun you thought to grab a photo as life begins to get back to what it was! It makes life around us even more remarkable when we compare it to what it has been these past few months.

It makes life around us even more remarkable when we compare it to what it has been these past few months. My youngest kiddo loves blueberries so I usually have them on hand. The photo in the mirror was in the gold cart. They had a little rear view mirror and the screen with the stats is the fancy machine that calculates the yardage and you keep score on it. Very fun technology.
