What a great stash to have, they are brilliant! I would like to know what yarn you use too please. ETA: For some reason I didn't see you had answered that!

Thank you, I'm just ogling that yarn now. There's some lovely colours. I've crocheted dishcloths but never tried knitting them (my knitting sucks!!).

I recently took up knitting and I am enjoying it so far. I started a random square using the same Sugar and Cream yarn that akathy had used. Right now I just want to get the hang of knitting but I think I am holding the needles wrong. I seem to be holding the left needle under my arm to keep it from moving. Does anyone have any suggestions on an easier way to hold the needle?
I want to do some dish cloths but I am wondering if there is a certain pattern that I need to follow. And does anyine have any suggestions for a project for a beginner besides dish cloths?

That's really cute! I wish I had time to copy your idea. I admit I started yesterday, but the whole thing hardly took any time at all. I learned the secret is to use wonderunder stuff to fuse the stuff together. It makes it SO much easier to draw out and cuts the pieces too (felt sucks to try to transfer designs.) When I draw/cut the designs ahead of time, then fuse them together, I only have to do a quick stitch for emphasis. All together, I think each one only took about 45 minutes total-including the cutting/fusing. AND I am only making six of them, so it isn't so hard. I am going to make some for Christmas too. Not sure what design I am going to do though...

I love this thread! It's so much fun to see what everyone is working on.
I haven't been able to do much lately, been busy with my business, but am still working on Who hats and started a hat for my nephew.

I don't think I ever posted my Halloween mantle scarf! I got the idea and directions from Kerri Bradford's blog here: Mantle Scarf InstructionsI used the Spooktacular Too fabric line by Maude Asbury.

A question for you all. I'm in the process of setting up a Flickr group that will be used as a gallery (see post here). Although it will obviously be used primarily by our scrapbookers etc, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't also be used for non-paper crafters. Would you find it useful to be included so that there is a central place where you could all post photos of your work?

Still dishcloths. I have close to 40 in my stash I think I'll stop at 50 but then again maybe not Do you have a pattern for the dishcloths? Or can you point me in the right direction to find something easy? I would really like to try making some for Christmas gifts. Thanks!

I am fine with it the way we have been doing it, but if everyone else wants a Flickr group, that is ok, too. I just don't want the people posting SB related things to get upset with the mixed used. If there is a way to categorize the sections for easy distinction, that would be cool. I know nothing about Flickr, so not sure if that is an option. Thank you for the offer, Admin! I am sure the peeps would love to post more pictures and it might be easier for some of the ladies to use Flickr rather than having to use Photobucket and link back here.
