I’m interested in adding some digital/hybrid pages into a TN type of notebook but I’m wary of making it too thick. Using plain printer paper doesn’t get me very good results but my 80lb cardstock or photo paper seems like it would be too thick. (I do print photos for the notebook on photo paper but I’m thinking more about stuff like these IACB pages link) What do you print on?

I don't do TN. But I have been using Neenah 110 index cardstock for scrapping lately. I use it to print my journal cards. I used to always want them thicker but my albums get so bulky I prefer the thinner cardstock now. I haven't really stamped on it but it prints the same as the solar white. Here is where I got mine and you can see there are different weights. I use the 110 which is about the same as photo paper. But there are lighter ones as well.

I haven’t tried this, but I’ve been recommended Epson matte presentation paper for something where you want good quality and saturation but not thickness in paper.
So not the PREMIUM matte presentation paper — the regular kind. Supposedly it’s only a little thicker than printer paper.
Perhaps another Pea can weigh in if they’ve tried this.

I got the recommendation from Sahlin Studios and went out and bought the paper and did a side by side comparison and was astounded by the difference. And it's not too thick, at least not as thick as photo paper but not as thin as regular cardstock.

Just to add -the 8.5 x 11 presentation paper is half off on the Epson site.

I second (third!) the Epson Presentation paper. But if you are inclined to send your digital files and papers out to print, Traci Reed has recommended a thinner, almost magazine paper weight that she uses to print out papers for use in Traveler's Notebooks. I will try to link one of her YT videos below in which she discusses how she prints her digital files for hybrid scrapbooking (I think she uses Office Depot for printing, and they carry the thinner weight paper): Traci Reed Printable Tutorial

I will take a look. Sorry, pancakes and lostwithout2peas - I posted this thread and bookmarked it but for some reason never saw any notifications and totally forgot to check back! I think the epson might be the one that Elise from FYC recommended to me ages ago but I couldn't remember the name. I didn't want to bother her again... I remember her and one other person chiming in to say it was like magazine paper and at the time that didn't work for what I was doing but now sounds like exactly what I need. Thanks for the headsup about the Epson site sunny1016 ! I think I bought that neenah paper you use by accident once - it was definitely not what I needed for cardmaking but did work nicely for printing.

Just to add -the 8.5 x 11 presentation paper is half off on the Epson site. I was skeptical because I figured they'd charge me some ridiculous amount for shipping but they didn't. It was free! So I have 100 sheets on the way for about $8. Thank you!

Gonna need more cause I am loving buying and printing my own stuff at home. I don't know why I waited so long!

Thanks to the search feature, this thread answered some of my questions. I have a couple more, though.
Is there a good phone app for creating traveler's notebook size pages? And what printer are you using? Thanks!

And what printer are you using? Thanks! I'm not sure about creating pages on your phone, but I can answer about the printer - I use a Canon Pixma, TS 6100 series - one of the basic scanner/color printers. It does a pretty good job. I sometimes think I want a PictureMate (don't get it because I'm cheap and printers are always a headache). But Layle by Mail mentioned Cathy Zielske (I think) has a hack for using the PictureMate printer to do TN sized prints even though it technically only prints up to 5x7.

Thanks, joblackford ! I've been looking at the PictureMate but I think I want something that can print at least 8.5x11 so I can utilize print and cut with my silhouette. I'd also like to start hybrid scraping, so need to be able to print elements, journal cards, etc.

I've had bad luck with Epson and HP (for a few years I swore off home printers altogether) but the Canons have worked well for me for the last decade or so.

Thanks again, joblackford . I played around last night and found a way to do pages on my phone! In the Pic Collage app, do a freestyle collage and set it to wallpaper size. You can add photos, text, and digital elements to it. I then just uploaded my page into Photoshop on my laptop and was able to size it to traveler's notebook size as the proportions were correct. I'm really excited about this discovery!
