Hello angel97701 , nylene , jjpeapea , jeremysgirl , cannmom , KikiPea , @bdhardy , christinec68 , grammadee , scrapperal , MDscrapaholicThat iNSD crop was a whopper start to the month, yes? I know quite a few of you came and scrapped along. Now the gossip is that there may be a weekly crop/hang-out on Saturday nights! I hope you can pop in now and then - I plan to. It keeps me focused - I hget up/down less, do fewer chores, and stay up later I haven't added up last months points yet and honestly tonight I have a whopper headache and am going to head to bed soon. I fell asleep on the couch watching a Jennifer McGuire video at 8pm so I'll listen to my body and have a good sleep tonight. I think part of this is dehydration and I'm drinking a can of fizzy water as I type. At work, we now have to wear masks and shields all day long (only removed to eat) so it's really tough to grab a quick drink during the day. I noticed there aren't very many challenges this month. We'll have to make full use of the ones that are posted! Remember that you have all month to complete the iNSD challenges and claim those points, plus 100 bonus points too. And the challenges can be COMBINED on projects, you don't have to complete each on separate layouts. OTOH, as I always preach - there is NO pressure to make points for the team! We are here to help with support whether it be life support or scrappy support, right?

Hola! I totally missed iNSD - I got caught doing things here and there and all of a sudden the weekend was over. I'll definitely check out the challenges though!
I hope your headache goes away and you get a good night of sleep.

This is the first time I've been on a team. Up until June 2019 I was a teacher and from August 2019 until March 5th 2020 I was a substitute teacher. Well, no more sub jobs until maybe Augsut, so I'm hoping being on a team will motivate me to use some of my time in a creative and pleasant way. I usually keep up with my pocket page album but lately I've been adding lots of cardmaking. You guys have to let me know if I post in the wrong place or make a rookie mistake.

jjpeapea , haven't you heard, "there are no rules in scrapbooking!" Don't think you need to worry about making mistakes! Welcome to the Team! If you need help with anything, just ask. Looking forward to seeing your pocket pages and cards, and hoping that playing with us will be fun for you. iNSD! Wow, to quote the Irish Rovers, "Wasn't that a PARTY?" Thanks so much kitbop for keeping us all going with the fun challenges. And to the hosts and all the people who dropped in to the Hangout sessions. Had a ton of fun and completed a bunch of pages. Even felt motivated this afternoon to clean off my counter and sort all the mess I had made--and I don't feel like THAT very often! Have another couple of pages in progress on that cleared off space now, but will need to wait until another day to get them finished. christinec68 , sorry you missed all the action here over the weekend, but hope you get to play with ALL the challenges. I attached printable lists of the 40 monthly challenges (and the "regular" monthly challenges) and the iNSD special challenges to my One Stop post that is stickied above. All month, you can still take on the iNSD challenges, and the first time you meet one of them this month you earn 5 points. You can use them as often as you like, but after the first time, they are worth only 1 point like the others. What are your scrappy plans for the rest of this month? I will be outside more now that spring has come to the prairies, but I hope to continue working on the Hawaii album I started over the weekend. I also want to get back to the album about ME. Want to print off the iNSD PL cards while I can still find them on my computer, and use them on a page or two in there about scrapbooking. Wish I had taken some screen shots of our Hanout sessions. (Does anyone know how to DO that?) Will have to do that if we start meeting once a week. MDscrapaholic , did I see somewhere that you have a brand new grand baby? Do you have photos to share? Here is to an awesome month of May!

My weekend got completely away from me. It was DD's birthday on Saturday and I was just so busy. Plus, we had amazing weather which is remarkable in Michigan. I spent most of my weekend outside. I did get some crochet done. So I will score some other crafts points for sure. But then I got to yesterday and I was just like, blah. All morning I tried to work without any motivation. So I ended up taking the afternoon off. And I got three scrapbook layouts done. Whew! I feel better. I'm just logging into work this morning and I have an idea for a fourth layout which I hope to get to tonight. We will see. But I am excited that there may be more online crops in the coming weekends. Because I'm back to boring and I'm sure Michigan will disappoint me weather-wise at some point the rest of this month.
I'll be on Flickr sometime today posting praise for sure. And my new layouts.

Been starting my day with Bible Journaling. Does the 20 minutes or so to do some artwork count towards points? Daily walk (poop patrol for four German Shepherds) moving our irrigation line gets my blood pumping in the morning. Most mornings I also do a yoga tape. But this morning I called my chiropractor and they were OPEN! Wahoo! This is the best my back and neck have felt in weeks! I had texted but it apparently never went through.
Working on my veggie garden. Have a varmint that is eating off of my straw bales even with super tight 3/8" inch bird netting. Caught the little sucker in one of the sticky traps this morning. I've lost 2 sets of lettuce starts, radish seedlings, and broccoli starts! Now there is just some torn up lettuce on the bale and another sticky trap. Transplanted my tomato seedlings to larger pots (buried the seed leaves), still have about another 3 weeks before they go in the raised beds with wall-o-water. I am finally seeing a few of my carrots sprouting, they take forever when it's cool in the high desert.
My back flower beds are planted as of last week, and now I'm working on my very neglected front yard that I've never really gave any attention to before this spring. Walmart had a nice rose and I have gladiolus bulbs purchased at Costco pre-Covid time. My labor crew on Saturday loosened the soil but it need a great deal of prep, so that's done, the rose bush is planted in watered in, a couple of tulips were moved, the current rose bush really trimmed back, etc. Didn't get to the planing part yet though, there's always tomorrow.
Both sons are still in process, and I am feeling the relief that they are both is safe places. We (DH included) have homework to complete while DS14 is at Wilderness Residential Therapy. Webinar today, call with his therapist on Thursdays, books to read. We get to write one letter a week right now to him. DS20 is struggling right now, has a roommate in the facility that snores so loud he can't sleep. So not sure how that will go for him. But it is all on him now. We will not rescue him, tough love time.
Sadly our governor has said we are on stay at home until July 6th, with no plan or data for her decision! Ugh! We've had 80 cases in our county and no deaths. I know that there are hot spots in our state and even more so in other parts of the country. With DSD24 working as a nurse in the Seattle area, we are concerned for her as well. Right now she is not doing Covid patients, but did have 2 or 3 before they moved her to another ICU floor. I get it we are protecting the vulnerable (like my parents and ILs), but so many people are really struggling right now with no jobs, no ability to provide for their families, etc. There needs to be some kind of balance.
To answer kitbop to just get back to my craft table and remember better times! jjpeapea I am also a sub, so obviously no work for me either! grammadee I will go check out the challenge list, just not tonight!
Thanks for the love and support ladies!

Insd weekend was very fun! I wish I could have participated more (I say that EVERY year LOL), but I did some things made and plan and doing some more card making this week. I have sent out cards to every female in our church (regardless of age) and quite a few to our ladies in our community. Handmade cards are not a big thing here so they have been THRILLED to get them. That is a bonus - they are in awe of my talent no matter how little it is. LOL I 'm ready for round two of people getting a card from me. LOL. Back to work for now, though! I will check in later.

I've been busy making Birthday Cards. We have lots of May b-days. I loved the weekend scrap and got a lot of pages done. I need to kit up a bunch more. That really seemed to help me get going.

MDscrapaholic , did I see somewhere that you have a brand new grand baby? Do you have photos to share? I did! Margaret Grace (Maggie) was born April 24th! I only got to see her for a few seconds when I dropped my grandson off (he stayed with me while they were in the hospital). She's ADORABLE! I can't wait to visit and spend some time with her, but we have no idea when that will be. WAHHH...!! But it's okay, she's here, she's healthy, she's safe. Can't ask for anything more.

Happy Sunday! Happy Mother's Day for anyone celebrating! I have not done one lick of scrapbooking this week - it's next on my list after catching up with the chat here. grammadee - thanks for putting the challenge lists together. I'll print them out see what I can do there - they're great jumping off points. Good luck working on your HI book and your book of me! jjpeapea - welcome to the team! This whole challenge/team thing is fun & friendly! jeremysgirl - happy belated birthday to your DD. Way to go getting three pages done last weekend! angel97701 - yay for the chiropractor visit! I hope your back is still feeling good. How is your yard/garden coming along? The stay at home order for your state is extreme. I'm in NY and the governor is evaluating phased openings by region - there's no reason a county like yours needs to wait for and area like NYC/LI to meet the reopening metrics/guidelines. I hope your older son's snoring roommate issue gets resolved. @bdhardy - I always have the best intentions to participate in events here too. It is SOOOOOOOOO nice that you sent cards to everyone!! I imagine it really brightened their day. nylene - yay for all the cards and pages! MDscrapaholic - Congrats!! Maggie is so precious!!

Happy Mothers Day, Diva's! Are you doing anything to celebrate? We would normally go out for brunch this morning, but the restaurant is still closed to sit down service, and somehow brunch in a bag (my name, not theirs for a curbside pick up order) does not seem very appetizing! Got a couple of nice messages from the kids this morning. Expecting calls later, too. Hoping to talk them into sending me some pic's I can use for my May calendar page. You know THEIR lives are all about MY scrapbooking I am hoping to finish a couple of pages that have been in progress for a few days now. Couldn't get anything to work for me yesterday, but this morning things are going together a bit better. Need to create a couple of bd cards before Tuesday when I will be venturing into town for groceries and the mail.

Hi everyone! Glad to see people check in. May is racing by for me. The days are definitely blurring together. Instead of scrapping, I've been spending more time nestled in with DH watching Netflix. Not good for productivity or my back, but it feels good. I did almost finish a page last night - one I started at last Saturday's hangout angel97701, how's things on the homefront? MDscrapaholic - CHEEKS! Oh, and I love the name. We heavily considered both those names actually Off to work I go.

Best birthday page, EVER, MDscrapaholic! Sweet name for a sweet babe. jeremysgirl, I hope the creativity keeps flowing for you! Celebrating a birthday and getting outside for glorious weather has to be done in the moment. You can always scrapbook it later! I am really hoping to get some of my more recent photos printed. They do so much to inspire me... christinec68, I hope you got some time to play this week. I don't see alot of scrapping in my future for the next week or so. My dd (the only one of our four adult kids whose family has been regularly in physical contact with us) will be bringing their 7 year old here Thursday evening and staying until at least Monday, maybe longer. We have gardening to do outside, and of course lots of action indoors and out! Lots of photos, too. Man, I want them printed!!! Hope to check out your pages and cards, angel97701. Yes! Bible journaling counts for points! You can decide if you want to count your pages by the size as per Easy Peasy scoring (and if you don't feel comfortable sharing them, that's okay: just leave out the sharing point for each page. One point for creating + set points per page. Done. OR you can count your art journaling as "other crafts" and just count the hours doing it in the month and multiply by the points per hour. Running out of motivation for the Hawaii book (as I often do seem to run out of steam at the END of a project). Have only a couple more 2-pagers in mind for that. Didn't get into my little book about me, yet, and not sure I will this month. I think most of my points for the next part of the month may be for organization hours. I need to pull ALL the pages I have created for EIGHTEEN YEARS that include my dgd who is graduating next month. Hoping there will be a way soon to copy them for a book for her as her grad gift. Have a good day at work, kitbop.

kitbop --Sill super challenging on both fronts with the boys. DS20 ended up being the youngest and smallest in a residence of 12 men . . . all addicts. He became a target (like jail bait) and suffered some physical and mental abuse at the hands of some of the newest residents. Once uncovered, one man was removed immediately, and 2 others on 2nd chance contracts. He was ready to run but really wants to do the work to heal his addiction and other issues. DS14 we've had three reports and all are positive. He didn't work as hard in the last week, but we finally have a letter from him which was super encouraging. We feel blessed by a great program that keeps him accountable and is helping get in touch with his emotions that drive his behaviors. Underlying roots are part of his therapeutic plan. Meanwhile my entry way, main hallway to the bedrooms and DS14's room are torn apart from the water heater leak/water bomb into the flooring. Right now we have zipper doors to go through that area ad 7 big fans, dehumidifiers, etc. running, super noisy! We have great company that did the remediation removal work and we can use all the way through the process including lead and asbestos abatement, which just came back positive. Need to wait on what the tile that was removed is worth plus the laminate flooring before I pick out new stuff. I have about 600 sq ft of laminate flooring in my hallway (damaged) as well as dining room, passage way to living room and kitchen. So all that will be replaced. The company we hired will do it all that way through final construction. AND we just happen to know the owners as our kids have gone to school together since kindergarten (their oldest and my youngest). Between phone calls regarding boys and follow-ups, getting my garden and landscape in shape, scrapping is at the bottom of the list. Just no emotional energy to work on pages. Maybe later? grammadee -Thanks for the answer about Bible Journaling. Some I may share, but others are really personal but a good thing for me to get my art and time in God's word both. I will probably go with the Easy Peasy method. Thanks for those options. Waving hi to everyone else, it's about all I can manage right now! Calls to SD, the state, DS20's program, and so on!

So how are all my fellow Divas doing? I've enjoyed seeing everyone's creativity. Still smiling over jeremysgirl drink page and how the background mathches the drinks. I actually deliberatly make my daughter a pineapple smoothie (and took a picture) because I have the perfect paper and stamp. angel97701 I appreciate your open-ness and I will say prayers for your boys and their journey. I love how Bible journaling looks but after abandoning every journal I ever started (written, digital, pictoral), I realize that it must not be a way for me to express myself. I've been on a card making roll these days. I used to be a substitute teacher but the last time I was in a classroom was March 5th, so that leaves some crafty time. Best wishes to all my fellow Divas during these times.

Who else thinks May is flying by? I have been enjoying the light and not moving down to my scraproom in the evenings, not good for productivity, although I do try to go down for 30 minutes before bed. Last night I did a bit of weeding which is one of my least favourite things ever, but it was still nice to be outside.
Is anyone in an area that is opening up? Are you enjoying it, or staying home? Our hardware stores were allowed to open, and some stores that can do curbside pickup, but nothing else. School is officially done until next year. It's all truly beginning to feel normal!

Good Saturday morning, Diva's! Most exciting thing about "opening up" was that I got to go to a real live LSS yesterday--by appointment--and walk around looking at stuff! It was weird. I was afraid to pick anything up if I didn't plan to buy it b/c I was worried about casual contamination. And while they bleach down their counters and pay machine, they can't do that to paper, so... I did end up coming out with a pretty full shopping bag what with my pre orders and kits she had waiting for me, and the things I could not resist picking up LOL. Will snap a pic and post it later.
Another cool thing was I got to PRINT SOME PHOTOS! Not all of the ones on my phone, but the ones from my camera card. And the most recent ones from my phone.
What with dd & dgs here for the past week, and the frantic rush to get our income tax info submitted to the accountant in time for him to submit by June 1st (extended deadline for Canada Revenue Agency), I have done very little scrapping for the last little while.
This morning I had hoped to get back into a scrappy mood. I have the new playthings from the LSS. And the newly printed photos. PLUS my Hawaii album that needs FINISHING. My scrap room was a mess--even for ME--so I thought I would start cleaning it up, hoping to find some space to work and my MOJO along the way. Found my scrap counter. But my mojo and my sanity are a bit more elusive today. Had thought of setting up a Hangout session, but I am not even good company for myself this morning so...
When I am done meandering through this message, I plan to go out and walk the dog, then come back in here and sort the photos and the new supplies. Maybe I will find something that screams, "SCRAP ME!" and that will get me going...

Hello Divas,
Our area is opening up slowly, we only had 119 cases locally in our county and zero deaths. I've been the grocery store during the whole time and to Lowe's and the garden store. Those are still my main hangouts.
Center of the house is finally dry from the water heater leak and damage. Took about 10 days with lots of noisy fans etc. Estimator came in today, says it will take about a week before insurance is back to them. Then the project manager will come in and look at the project. So we are still looking at several more weeks of disruption in the center of our home. All the laminate will come out (kitchen, dining room, and hallway), tile will be replaced in the entry way (we may already have the bulk of the tile in a shop, just don't know yet), and the repairs to the bedroom drywall, flooring and carpeting.
Older DS refused our offer to send to him to a more comprehensive treatment program, and we've not heard from him since last Thursday. Younger DS seems to be doing well and is enjoying his wilderness therapy. He's had some good progress and some learning experiences. My transparency letter, telling my DS how his behavior made me feel is done. DH is in a quandary right now over how to write his feelings, his is an engineer and logical through and through!
Bible journaling is my saving grace every morning as is walking the dogs and doing outdoor morning chores. Yoga and a little chiro and a MASSAGE last week have done some wonders! My garden is growing slowly, we have very cold evening here in Central Oregon. My tomatoes are super happy in their little teepees of Wall-o-water. Next up, sprout some bean and corn seeds and get those planted. Made 11 grow bags for potatoes this year and need to finish setting up their watering system. So the garden is my focus and just keeping all the things rolling in the right direction.

Good to hear from you angel97701. I'm sorry the older DS is pushing away and hope he is in a safe/good place and open to the therapy he can get where he is. Glad your 14 yr old is doing well!!! You are amazing in your ability to get through this! On top of the house stuff My garden is partly in - tomatoes, carrots, lettuce. Need to visit the garden centre and get some cucumbers seeds or seedlings and will probably try zucchini once more Yes...I'm a strange gardener who fails at zucchini - we have powdery mildew in the gardens so the plants produce 2-3 zucchini and then start dying If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears! Other than digging out all the dirt and replacing it We just don't have that ability. I have been really thankful for the weekend google hang-outs with the peas. It's the only day of the week I get into my scrappy zone. I'm too easily distracted otherwise, and the family and yard have needed me. And Netflix. Netflix has needed me. I can't believe how fast May has gone! Does anyone else feel time slowed down in March and April, but now that we've acclimatized to our new world time is speeding up again?

Hello Divas! This is been a long month. Work is crazy busy and it seems that WFH has now blurred some of my home/work boundaries. It's part their expectations, part my fault for going along but we're short handed, have firm deadlines and things just take longer outside the office. As a result, I haven't had the energy to clear my work space so I can scrapbook. You can put me down for 60 points for this month. Sorry team I'm in NYC so we're still stuck in the no phase zone of the reopening plan. They're saying June 8th. Even then it will only be non-essential stores that can open with curbside pick up and certain types of businesses. My company would be able to open but they are in the super early stages of discussion and no word on when. I'm ready to go back though. Surrounding areas are in phase 1 now, so when they get to phase 2 in about 10 days, which includes personal care places, I'm hoping I can get my nails done or something if possible. But I've been getting out - most days I go for a walk, I've had socially distant visits at my sister's and my husband's brother's house and go to stores when necessary. We're planning to paint the living room & bathroom in the next few weeks so we need to go to Lowes or Home Depot for paint samples, maybe next weekend. kitbop - YES! I do feel like May felt more normal than March & April. March feels like a year ago. What have you been watching on Netflix? angel97701 - Sending prayers for your boys and I am sorry to read about the water heater situation. Good luck getting through that process. grammadee - How lucky you were able to go to a local scrapbook store! I hope you found your Mojo!

It's that time of the month when I bug everyone for their point totals!!! And try to remember to add mine up too - tbh, I'm usually the last total on the team list before I hand it in, so nobody should feel bad Also - I'm going to ask that NOBODY APOLOGIZE for totals! We all have big months and small months and none months. Life is good and bad and emotional and exhausting and joyful and stressful and without it we'd have nothing to scrapbook! Our team total is seriously not an issue, and no one should stress over it. Thank you christinec68 and jjpeapea for getting points to me already! jjpeapea, I'm rewatching Gilmore Girls while I scrap! It's such an easy comforting thing to watch. And DH and I are watching Community. We missed it first time through and it's nice to find a gem like that. Last year we enjoyed all of 30 Rock - what a hoot! We recently finished Mad Men. We're still a little bit in mourning that it's over. Speaking of Netflix - if anyone wants to through a recommendation out there with their points totals, I'm gonna need a new show soon!

kitbop Gilmore Girls is the perfect scrapping companion! I should put 30 Rock on my list. I've never seen it. Other good Netflix shows are Ozark, Dead to Me, Friends from College (only 2 seasons tho), and Modern Love. Modern Love is an 8 episode series related to letters written to the New Yorker or New York Magazine - I can't say enough good things about it.

My total for May is 363. Took DH to the airport this morning at 5:50. It was hard to find decently priced flights at the last minute for the necessary business trip to the LA area. Ended up going to Palm Springs to drive to San Bernandino. I was blessed by being able to go back to sleep after I go home and am just now starting my day at about 9 am! Dogs are happy I am up! Well chores to do both inside and out. I think I will enjoy the quiet time in my home and take care of me. Maybe that will include a little crafting besides Bible journaling? We shall see!

Just added up my May points. 32 pages and 4 cards: 1245 points.
I might have to start using Netflix as my usual TV fair has for the most part dried up... Don't even know how to use it on my TV

I'm posting my total here just because I know I'm going to lose my paper recording (ie envelope that was lying on the table) of my points! 592.

Official time to hand in totals angel97701 , nylene , jjpeapea , jeremysgirl , cannmom , KikiPea , @bdhardy , christinec68 , grammadee , scrapperal , MDscrapaholic ! Ignore me if I have your totals - I just copy/pasted my names list this morning, we were up middle of the night with a wicked thunderstorm and my head is not yet awake! And if you don't send me a total, no guilt at all, I'm just glad you are pea-ing along with the rest of us And remember you can do a quick-and-easy 20 points/layout if you want to estimate something for your work this month! I need to start the June thread, and always feel somehow guilty, like I'm "cheating" on the previous month's team by starting a new thread I enjoyed the month of May with you ladies!
