I need to make some of those headbands for my BFF. They will stay on her head, LOL. They’re just so cute!

ETA: It’s at the back where most people have a bump at the base of their skull that holds the headband in place. I don’t have that. They slip off from the bottom at the back because apparently the back of my head is flat so there’s nothing for a headband to grab onto. This is me too. The only way I get a headband to stay is to use cloth or thin elastic and bobbypin the back down on my scalp.

I can't get hairbands to stay on me but I wear scrunchies all the time.
Maybe I'll try make a scrunchy to match--but wouldn't be able to see both the mask and scrunchy at the same time.
And elastic is still a hot commodity here.

Cute! And if you put big buttons on it you can attach the mask there and save your ears. Yes, that's where I found the pattern when doing a search for ear savers. I didn't want the crochet ear savers; I wanted fabric. And craftykitten , you can find it here. You have to sign up for her newsletter to get the pattern though. I couldn't get it to print right but just kind of used the end but measured the rest and did my own thing (17" long by 4" wide). jennifermaker.com/diy-headbands-buttons/Do you use the wire she puts in it?

No, I don't. No need for it. I also like to tie mine a certain way. Here is what it looked like when I went around town yesterday for work. Sorry the photo is so big but you can get a good close-up of the tie as well as the fabric on the back. I make them reversible.
