I’ve been using the Kokuyo for about three years now and LOVE it. I’m borderline obsessed with adhesive and this is my go-to and overall, everyday favorite. Really? I ordered this from Japan, with lots of refills, after my second ATG gun broke. Jennifer McGuire lists it as her favourite tape runner. I have the blue dotliner long (36 meters) and find it to be the worse adhesive I’ve ever tried! It doesn’t stick at all. And most of the dots don’t even roll out onto the paper. So disappointed. I’ve ruined two ATG guns. The springs on the rewind wheels popped out on both; one was the big red gun and the second was the pink advanced glider. Also, I buy the Scotch refills and the last box of 12 were all wound inside out. It was the first box of general purpose that I had ever bought. I never had this problem with the gold acid free tape. I’ve tried all the other tape runners and nothing works for me. I’m at the point of buying a new ATG gun and trying again. Does anyone use and love the big yellow gun with 1/2" wide tape?

I use the Tombow Mono dots adhesive tape runner. I like it because I can get the refills at Michael's and it sticks well , but is still repostionable a bit if I want to move something. I used these almost exclusively before I bought my ATG. I still have a bunch and I would go back to them without hesitation. But I really like my ATG more. I love my Tombow. The ATG just feels too big to me, plus I’m left-handed. I know that lots of people love the ATG though.

It depends on what I am gluing. I use the ATG for scrapbooking and gluing larger pieces of paper for card making. I use Scor-tape or equivalent for some things. For hold that has no forgiveness and will never release, red line tape.
I use Zig 2 way glue a lot, but I also use a clear drying glue with a fine tip attachment as needed. I get the latter from Heartfelt Creations. I have just ordered a glue from Queen and Company, to attach the acetate window on shaped shaker cards. I can use red line tape, but cutting tiny pieces is a pain.

I have been using an ATG since before the pink one came out. I love it! I also use Scotch quick drying tacky glue, foam squares/circles and glue dots. Every once in a while I will pull out the Zig two way glue (but only because I have a few left in my stash). I have a red 1/4" and a yellow 1/2" that I got before pink was a thing. I was just thinking I wouldn't mind a second 1/4" to use for the NON acid free for card making, etc. Then I guess I could get a pink one.

I’ve been using my atg for years now with no problems. Before that I used Hermafix repositionable and loved it. For wet glues I like Scotch tacky glue and Zig pens.

I was part of the "bling out your ATG" rage. I spray painted mine a sparkling brown with blue letters (one of my favorite color combos). That lasted for years and years, survived two moves but NOT my littlest in his toddler stage! LOL!

You have always been a part of the heist. You're only mad now because you don't like your cut.

I'm falling out of love with my ATG as we speak. I had to take a defective roll out and currently am using it with just scissors and manual application so I don't waste it. I do have a Gina K tape runner but I find it leaves a lot of adhesive behind the runner, like 25%. So I've ordered a new kind and we'll see how that goes, 3L ez runner refillable. I might hate or love it who knows? My ATG may never get used again I'm so mad at it. I ended up ordering a Tombow because I had a bunch of unused refills (I'm sure I had the actual runner somewhere but I can't find it for the life of me). If it works on my next Magic Iris card (I'm making the star version) it will be a long time before I even look at my ATG.

I use Scotch double sided tape, and have for almost 15 years. I know it isn't "real" scrapbook adhesive but it sticks well and it lets me reposition things for awhile before it really sticks. I have the pink ATG but I didn't like it because that tape was not repositionable. I make too many mistakes- I need an adhesive that I can pry up and move stuff around. My 15 year old pages are still sticking together really well, too.
I also use a liquid glue but I'm not picky about which one. I use it to glue Thickers down (because you know the chipboard ones don't stick) and to glue down sequins and little wood pieces.
I use an insane amount of foam pop dots. I love those things. I pop out something on almost every page I make. I don't like things too flat. Tuesday morning usually has those- I buy whatever is there- I'm not picky about brands.
I also use glue dots sometimes if I need a larger object to stick. Again, whatever I find at Tuesday Morning. Except for Scotch tape I'm not very brand loyal.

I love my ATG. I actually broke the lid on one as it was so old and bought a 2nd one, still before the pink one came out. But I will only use Scotch brand gold acid free refills. I still have a bunch of Tape Jungle refills and just grabbed one the other day and then cursed the whole time I use the ATG.
I also like glossy accents, Scotch liquid adhesive, E6000, glue dots in various size, and I had a blue runner that was perfect for vellum, but they stopped making it.
I'm not as particular with my dimensional adhesive.

I use double sided adhesive squares. It's what I've used since I started scrapbooking in 1996. My ATG may never get used again I'm so mad at it. I ended up ordering a Tombow because I had a bunch of unused refills (I'm sure I had the actual runner somewhere but I can't find it for the life of me). I use the ATG rolls and not the gun. I'm sure it was user error for me, but I wasted too much adhesive every time I had to load the stupid thing. I place the tape on the area I want to be sticky and use fine pointed scissors for cutting it off. Press down on the brown tape paper (whatever you call it), pull it up and it is stuck to your paper.
ScrapbookMyLife I like this method better than the double sided adhesive squares. You can put more in one area than the tiny squares.
Before ATG, I used double sided Scotch tape in packs from Sam's Club. I like that ATG has a smaller width.

For Canadian peas, nhsmediastore.com is a great place to order ATG refills.

I’m so sorry your ATG gun made you so miserable. I hate it when things like that happen. I know this is just supposed to be a hobby, but boy can I get worked up about it when things go wrong. And let’s face it things do go WRONG. They’re not “learning opportunities” or whatever the hell the current PC wording is. They’re WRONG & they can make me miserable. I use my ATG gun the most. Love it. I also use Glue Dots in all their sizes & thicknesses. I will use Zots in a pinch, but I don’t like them nearly as much as Glue Dots. I also use Elmer’s Glue. I like that I can make it thicker or thinner. It’s water soluble so I can remove photos & ephemera without destroying them. And I’ve used it since grade school so I’m really comfortable using it.

Does the bearly art precision craft glue adhesive that FB keeps showing me work? I just bought the mini size and I love it so far. I really like the fact that it comes with a set of 2 different sized nozzles and one that closes the top. So far no clogging, it dries clear and it has a great hold.

I had seen this adhesive online and got curious so I ordered it yesterday and I just now received a notice that it’s already been delivered to my mailbox! As soon as this downpour stops I’ll go get it and try it out!
