OK. Let's go!
If you're doing WITL, or if you're just interested, let's share our work/progress here.
I stamped a Reason Why card yesterday (from a 'Reason Why' stamp had from OLW).
I'm going to go write it right now.
Hoping to get some pix today to start documenting who we are now. I've never done a WITL before but this year seems like a good time to do one.
Hope you're excited and ready to go!

As of right now, I'm in!
Hair salons open up today, and my mom found one that is only allowing 2 people per time slot, and the stylist calls you to come in when they are ready, so she is going this morning. I already told her we need a before and after of her hair! 😂
Monday has become my grocery day, so I'll have a picture of me in my mask too.

Saw that Jerry Stiller died. When I went onto twitter a few minutes later saw how many of the trending topics were related to him. Took a picture. This will go in the album as a reminder of how twitter trending topics look and how they work. Attachments:

I've done quite a bit of journaling this morning in a google doc. I usually start out the week heavier on journaling. I am trying to sort of focus on a different thing each day, but since I haven't planned it out, I will figure that out later. Today I focused on my job and what that has been like lately in general and with the work from home.
I printed out a bunch of journal cards to use this week yesterday. Mostly from IACB.
Still not really sure how I want this project to look, but trying anyways.

I’m doing it!!!! So far I have taken probably 5 pics and have journaled the day. I’m doing the same/different prompt. I really like using prompts. It’s so easy to journal. I’m taking a photo and then between that and the next photo typing the journaling into my notes app.

I've been working on a 4x4 Jamaica Makes/KP 2019 DD-esque album during quarantine so I'm just going to keep adding to it this week. It's not a proper WITL but more of a PITL (Pandemic in the life). This thread is a good reminder that I need to add a few other faves to it. I'll be printing a still from the clip for Love To Go by Lost Frequencies, my jam of the past couple of weeks as well as a photo of the yoghurt and apple cake I made this weekend because if this odd life has done anything it's activate the domestic goddess in me once a week for about an hour or so. I'll add in the recipe although I doubt I'll ever forget it. It's the French go-to cake when you don't have butter in the fridge (doesn't happen often, granted) and just a couple of eggs left. If anyone has been on the fence about doing WITL this time around: try to do it. In a different way, in your way, in whatever way. This is a historical time and it's more than worth recording. Whether you want it to be a super accurate record of what's going on in your life and in the world or more of a mood/ambiance record, give it a go. We often discuss the importance of scrapbooks and journals to get a glimpse of how life was during the war, the recession, etc. What we are living through today is just as important and historical an event. You will not regret taking some time out of your bizarre pandemic days to document this time. This will be a precious record.

I’m taking more pictures today. I’ll see how it goes. If I do a lot ill put it in one if my empty 6x8 albums & maybe do another week later ( back to work week ? Whenever that comes? )
If it doesn’t pan out I’ll just do an insert in my planner
I did set a reminder for the flyover tomorrow that’ll be a nice picture for either that or my planner

Happy WITL Monday!
I’m going to follow Ali along with her story lenses/ prompts for my journaling meaning, I don’t PLAN ON doing separate journaling. I feel like this will keep the project reasonable for me because I have so many ideas in my head from the prep day, I get myself overwhelmed and then I’ll just be stuck and that’s happened to me too many times in the past with various projects. I’m determined to not get stuck. The story lenses have 10 journal areas and I feel like that will be more than enough for me. I’m also trying not to take too many pictures. I’m reminding myself that I have seven days to get a photo of my coffee and the laundry, etc. and I don’t need to take all of my ideas for photos today.
This may be my motto for the week - don’t get overwhelmed, stick to the story lenses, keep it simple.

The 2x2 page protectors- I love this idea of collecting things you can punch out and put in the squares. I have four different square punches. Guess what? None of them are 2x2. I’ve got 2.5, 2.25, 1.75 and some rando 1.3??? There’s a thread I saw on the board about what bugs you about scrapbook supplies.....this! This is bugging me! All these square punches in these sizes....anyways, I clicked on the link for the 2x2 passport punch Ali is using. It’s $45! I would never buy that. Would love to have it. Not going to buy it though. I’m going to use my 2.25 punch and just trim but I’m just really annoyed that I don’t already have a 2in square punch. I’m laughing about it but still annoyed.

janesays I hate those 2x2 page protectors! I actually just take them out of my album. I tried to find a proper square punch that would fit but ultimately failed. So I just take it out of the equation

needtime2scrap I guess that’s why she’s using a $45 passport punch? There’s not a 2x2 square punch? Crazy! i swear, I thought one of these square punches of mine was a 2in square. All these years, I thought that’s what it was. I have a 2in circle punch. Fits in the square perfectly. That might look cute and different. May play around with other shaped punches if I decide to go with the 2x2 pages.

I'm doing it this week too! But, I apparently don't have trouble doing the documentation. It will be the putting it together. Oh well. I have good intentions and I plan to.

I'm doing WITL this week. This is my 4th or 5th year, so I'm switching things up and following the prompts that Ali posted in the prep workshop, but with a twist. I'm changing up a few of the prompts to better fit my needs. I printed her WITL journaling packet from 2011 which is super helpful for me. I spend the week focusing on photos and stories, then go back after to put the album together. It's one of my favorite projects!

It's my first year doing WITL to. I was looking at selling all my scrapbooking items last week after not doing anything for around 5 years and well I started pining and the other half just told me to go for it, was the same day I found out WITL was going to be this week. Dusted off my 5 year old album that never got used (slightly sundamaged!) and I'm all in! Just hoping I can do this as I'm just winging it. Thinking about writing my journaling every night before bed, that way I shouldn't forget anything and I have slight notes on photos I want to take e.g. what I would want to see if my parents did this in their time.

I'm doing it as I will hit 60 days on the 14th from our university closing with our students and teaching. I am going from Sunday to Sunday as I wanted to include Mother's Day in the mix, so it'll be more like a Week-ish in the Life.

So I have a slightly funny story. My yard guy cuts the grass at my house and several of my neighbors. A few of my neighbors are pickier about their lawns than I am, so he started cutting their grass about 2 months ago. The first two times I asked them to hold off, and then he didn't even come by here two weeks ago. When I heard lawnmowers today, I walked down and asked him to please cut my grass and went ahead and paid him.
I didn't get a chance to take a picture of my yard before he started (I didn't want to let the dogs out by accident), so I took a few pictures through my patio French doors (I had to put my camera through the closed blinds! 😂).
I then got a few pictures of him on his riding lawnmower the same way, but wouldn't you know, the best composed pictures have a big smudge on them from the window! 😂

I've remembered off and on all day to take pictures. I had a really crappy afternoon so I was in such a bad mood that I forgot to take dinner pictures--and I even decided on nachos because that would be fun to document.

I only took a few pics today. Kind of an off day for some reason. I did get me in a mask - finally. I did a little journaling about 'loving' 'not loving'. Are you all journaling Ali's M-Sat prompts or just a normal journal entry or both or something else?

The way I set my album up, there are pockets for 8 photos per day which is what I want to stick to. I can insert an extra one or two photos if needed. Funny you mentioned loving/not loving. I used the loving story prompt for today and for about half the day all I could think of were things that I was not loving. 😂 I thought about doing one column of each. I finally overcame that and ended up with 9 out of 10 things I’m loving right now. I’m sure during the week the 10th one will come and I’m hoping more will show up too. I may try to fit in a “not loving” list this week. I think it’s a great idea. And also, REAL.

@zingermack, those are the albums I’m using. I bought a ton of white ones last year from the bakery website. This year I bought the color blocked ones. I really like them. The color blocked is cream and red. I would have liked a more true white but I’m going with it. You can’t beat $5.

This is my first year doing WITL. In year's past, this week is always insane at DD's school so I skipped it.
I'm taking about 15 pictures a day and trying to pace myself with the images I want to capture. I don't need 7 pics of my DH's work at home space, but I need one. I don't need a daily picture of my DD doing distance learning, but a few will suffice. We have a few things to break up the monotony of how the past 7 weeks have been: Mother's Day on Sunday, a senior graduation parade on Wednesday, and a well-child doctor's visit on Thursday. I think these events will be great to document since they don't/won't look like they normally do.
Does anyone not do an album and just add the layouts to their 2020 yearly album?
