Yesterday I did beauty of today. It went ok. It was kind of a hard prompt for me and truthfully my day was terribly busy with work and I don’t find that particularly beautiful except for the paycheck part. My photos were really cute yesterday. I did some floral macro and my daughter and husband planted a garden. Today I’m doing facts and feelings. Truthfully I’m not a feeling person. It’s been hard to get into but now that it’s lunch time I’m getting into a groove more. I’m going to have way less journaling today I think. I also did a meme page that I’m loving. I've been doing the kids' tee-shirts. They're always funny.

I'm still plugging along even though most of my photos are starting to look the same...and I'm not going to have a grocery store photo to include this year because DH did that this week! I've always done this project as MY week so I don't have to rely on others to take pictures for me, but on the other hand, I've never taken this many selfies before.
I'm feeling "ok". I seem to have an elevated fever either in the evening or morning, but the worst I've felt was just some chills and aches on Tuesday night. I'm tired, but not lethargic, could just be that I'm bored because it's the most I've been home in years.

I didn’t do the TN but I’m planning on printing the free printable COVID timeline from Persnickety prints and putting it into a story kit envelope in the front of the album.

I just rearranged my closet a bit and pulled down some 6x8 PL albums from 2013 and 2014. Spent a little time looking at how much everything has changed in just a few years. I didn't read all of my WITL journaling but it was interesting to look at the photos and what's the same and what's completely different now. It almost made me wish I was playing along!

That's a great idea to spur journaling. I fell down a bit on Thursday and yesterday. Very minimal journaling - but I'm going to go back and fill in some pieces today and start putting pages together. Hoping to spend a good long time in the craft room today. Hoping for rain

huskermom98 I hope you'll feel better real soon and that whatever this ailment is, it won't be a b*tch to beat. Let us know how you're feeling today! joblackford Such a neat little walk down memory lane! Are you planning on doing a WITL this spring to add to the collection? This weekend is Salon Chez Booty Beauté time. My SO will do a trim to my hair and I'll cut his. He desperately needs some fresh layers. I've played with the camera angles this afternoon to figure out where to set it up for some interval shots and found the right spot. This ought to be fun to document! I *really* need that SC scissor art print now! I wish I'd stocked up during the Mega Mega Sale...

huskermom98 Crossing my fingers for you that this isn't nasty, whatever it is. Are you feeling a little better today, still breathing ok? Thanks for asking--I'm doing much better today, so well that I haven't even thought to take my temperature. I've been outside most of the day doing some yardwork and hanging with my youngest (and getting lots of WITL pictures!) Been breathing ok since it all started too.

I finally finished watching all the Prep day videos today. I also spent forever figuring out how to add text to a photo.Lol! Managed to work it out and printed my first photo for my WITL 2020. Unfortunately, I realized I don’t have enough page protectors. Placed an order at Scrapbook.com and hoping they come quickly.
Im doing ok on getting my photos taken . I probably should be taking more notes, but I haven’t. Until my page protectors come it’s hard to know how I want to lay everything out. I don’t have a kit. I’m using my stash. Still enjoying the process though.

Hoping to get back in the craft room tomorrow to finish out the week w/printing pix and doing some journaling on cards. All in all, not bad for a first attempt at WITL.
Hope you had fun too, peas.

This week got away from me so I might try WITL next week. I know we all complain about our lives being monotonous, but I think that’s a story to tell in itself right now.
Ali’s WITL photos are pretty similar every day, with some variations. But I feel somewhat inspired by her photos. Makes me think of new ways to tell old stories.

I took some photos this past week, but as I flip through, I am worried I didnt take enough. Ugh. Tonight during the virtual crop I got my book set up, journal cards printed & 'extras' embellished. Sunday I will print photos - though, I did just have an idea. For some of the generic stuff (like my flowers that I forgot to photograph), I could always take a photo this week and just slip it in. In a year, I wont remember that they came from another week Other thoughts since I cant sleep: - I really liked the color scheme this year. Didn't think I would, but I have found its made me happy working with such happy colors. - In another sleepless night, I ordered the leather hexagons. I probably wont use them for this project, but they are sooo good in person. Pricey but they will get used. - I bought the digitals this year. Good choice for me. I've enjoyed playing around with them. Highly recommend. - I used a black SC 6x8 album that I already had and I love it. The black pops with the other colors. - I got my big camera out for the first time since Christmas. Yikes. Need to do that more often. - I didnt have the big stamps she offered, so I just used some of my $2 Ali Express number dies to make my numbers for my list. It was a pain die cutting them for all 7 days + I wish I hadnt done every set the same color way, but it'll be ok. Im too lazy to change them now. - I had purchased the "Room to Breathe' templates from Paislee Press to use in my PL. They are working great for this album. A little re-coloring and bam. Perfect for WITL. Thats all for now

huskermom98 Wonderful news! 😊 I hope you'll continue to improve and this was just a little bug that's already out of your system. The stress caused by the pandemic is definitely not helping our immune system right now... @zingermack How is your craft room Sunday going so far? Did you know you have a shadow on the board? I noticed a lurker under the name of @zingermack2. 😱 mom Aww, thanks. We're doing ok. It's been good to finally get some time outside this past week since phase 1 of deconfinement begun. The lack of outside space has been tough. I look forward to slowly getting back into the world. Very, very cautiously. The good news is that we managed to share just 430 square feet 24/7 without driving each other nuts. Hail to the noise-cancelling headphones! How are things going for you and your family? Are your boys helping out with the household? How's your husband (I believe he works with the elderly)? PSA to all those doing WITL during the current pandemic: In case you hadn't heard of it yet, FOGO is the new FOMO. Fear of going out. In case you want to add a trendy acronym to your book and a theme to journal about. It could be nice to document those in your household who are dying to get out again (FOMO) vs those who don't feel like the outside world is safe yet (FOGO). If anyone is feeling super crafty, you could even make a spread like a board game with two different trajectories. All the good spots at home vs everywhere in town the FOMO-ers want to go to. Just an idea that came to mind while thinking about pandemic scrapbooking today that I thought I'd share in case anyone needs a bit of inspiration to have fun with their stash.

Glad things are looking up for you! I'd say if you can share a 430 sq ft place with someone 24/7, then you've made a good pick! The boys are both home + we are finally in a good routine for us. It definitely could be worse. Having online classes has been really eye opening for DS2. Out of all of us, he has struggled the most as he is really social and needs interaction. His grades were fine but he is refusing to go back to his big university if it is online only. The school hasn't made a decision yet, so we will what happens. Yes, DH works with the elderly, indirectly. They have only had 1 employee case of Covid at one of their rehab facilities and thankfully caught it before she was around patients (she had been on scheduled vacation and caught her having fever before her shift). Of the nursing homes, 2 assisted livings + memory care facilities, they have not had a single case as of yesterday. Our government is making all nursing homes, rehab, and memory care facilities test all employees and clients starting yesterday. DH has been helping with the testing - the elderly dont understand what is going on and its been emotionally hard on him. My city is considered a hot spot so we are lucky we haven't gotten sick, though the circle of people we know who are sick it getting larger.

OK. Spent WAY too long fighting w/mac 'photos' app, itunes, ios photos app, ARGH!!!!
Apple used to let me manually sync so much more easily. Now they almost want to force me to use icloud, which I don't want to use.
So, what a waste of hours.
But I did finally get my photos printed for the week. Now I can spend some time this coming week getting them in the album w/the journaling....
Hope Ali shows her finished witl for some more inspiration.
My family thought it was cool that they got to put their own ideas into the little TN addition, so I"m glad she inspired that.

Opposite issue, my photos are in the cloud and Last night I wasted time sorting and going thru them on my phone & mailing the ones I needed to myself so I could use them in my laptop. Only to wake up this morning & remember my photos are all in the cloud & I didn’t need to do that. Thankfully I only did Mondays timeline photos & didn’t waste time for the rest of the days. Now wish me luck figuring out how to do a vertical Daily photo timeline in 6x8 format because I don’t know how and I’ve decided I need one. Bonus, if I do it for Monday it will be done for the rest of the week!! If I can create & print my own planner blanks, I can do this, right?

I’m done. Sunday was really dialed in but I’m good with it being good enough. I didn’t do any journaling for Sunday and just did some hand written summary on a Kelly Purkey card.
I am super proud of myself. I really liked that I journaled little by little throughout the day on my phone. I’m the prompts really helped me keep moving although I did kind of abandon them by midweek because I didn’t love the ones I picked. I think it’s a really good representation of our week. I also love that I didn’t feel the need to journal about every photo. My photos and journaling were 2 separate projects.

I'm a week behind and doing photos/journalling THIS week. So far so good - I hae three 8x8 pages of journalling for each day so far - one overall day and two for the prompts. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to put it together - I'm leaning towards a photo book in the end.

I'm just going to continue my Pandemic in the Life album. I'm going to print some photos of the video games we've been playing lately and the new controller I had preordered and that was delivered during lockdown. It's a Phantom series from Xbox and it's glorious. What I love about documenting during this pandemic is how easy it is to focus on all the little bits of life that are easily forgotten and go undocumented otherwise. The small everyday details have been brought to the foreground while the noise of the world is tuned out through stay-at-home orders and more or less harsh lockdown measures. I've been thriving while documenting all the little things.

mom Oh, how I know the anxiety of living in a hot spot far too well (although, fortunately, my precise city and immediate surroundings remained relatively ok in comparison to other places of France and nearby Italy). It's an everyday kind of stress that's always there, buzzing and humming in the back of your mind. I hope you're finding ways to relax and release some pressure. So sorry about your social kiddo. Has he settled into a virtual routine with his friends? I'm pretty social and outgoing and I've found that having something social to look forward through has been a great help. I have some friends I watch movies with online, one particular friend I'm bingewatching a silly show with, happy hour through video (doesn't have to be alcoholic, of course but age-appropriate nibbles and drinks a couple of times a week at a fixed hour), I play video games online with some folks, I've converted some of my coworkers to Witch It (hide and seek video game together), etc. It does take a lot of energy and a cheerleader type of attitude to get such a schedule going but over 2 months in confinement and I realise it's paying off and really helping me. Sending him and you loads of good vibes! Hang in there.

I'm slowly making progress. My biggest hang-up is the journaling--I need to get it written down before I forget more of the week, but I just can't seem to force myself to do it. At least I'm working on printing my photos in the meantime...

I’m about 1/2 way done. I’m plodding thru. I’m happy with it so far. I hope to finish this weekend
I did journal more than I thought. It took my awhile to come up with my ‘formula’ or my plan to do it. Once I hit upon a format I’m comfortable with it’s been easy.

HI folks, Been awhile - it's nice to see what everyone has been up to. I'm doing WITL this year, I really loved the kit + colors. Almost done printing pix and cleaning up my journaling for Sat & Sun. I also did a little TN, with my newfound digital skills I used the gratitude card to create gratitude cards for family members and and am combining with selfies from everyone. I usually wait until Ali posts her album but this year I'm pretty locked in to what I'm doing, so if she comes up with anything else super inspiring it will have to be used on another project. I did the Prep Party and that was the best five bucks I've spent in a long time! Anyway, hope everyone is safe & well. karinec
