to Christmas? My family is already collectively rolling their eyes in anticipation of a solid two months of televised Christmas cheer. 20 different versions of a movie where the main character is all bah humbug until she arrives in a charming little town, meets a widowed hot guy with adorable kids, and learns the real meaning of Christmas. I love it.

I love it. Me me me!! Can you see me jumping up & down and waving my hands in the air? Love all the sappy movies at that time of year. There are a few I look forward to watching every year, no matter how dopey they are. My family rolls their eyes, too, lol. Now that my kids are teens, we don't do a lot of Christmas-y stuff. No more gingerbread house, cookie decorating, Advent Calendar, driving around to look at lights. Watching these movies is one of the few holiday activities I have left!

Merry Cheesy Movie Christmas! I love those movies and the DH just shakes his head and continues to read some in-depth article on the economic ramifications of diplomatic sanctions against some small country in Somewheristan. I love my light mind candy entertainment.

I'm oddly drawn to them too! My daughter will watch with me and pick them apart. She can't suspend reality very well yet!

Well yes and no - I love Hallmark Channel Christmas movies but I was filling up the DVR with Halloween movies this week and noticed that on Hallmark channel the following:
Hallmark has a movie about a Witch at 5:00 and then at 8:00 that night A PRINCESS FOR CHRISTMAS. At 8:00 on Halloween. SERIOUSLY?!!!
So, while I am all for starting movies for Christmas soon, this weekend is fine, November 1st is fine, but seriously at 8:00 eastern time on HALLOWEEN for crying out loud. No. Wait a few hours please. If it's 8 pm Eastern time that means the rest of the US is watching it even earlier. That just seems wrong. Halloween movies on Halloween!!
Otherwise yes I am pleased because they have the best Christmas movies, I'm all for sappy movies. I'm looking forward to the one that Henry Winkler brings home a stranger from the airport for his niece. So wrong in reality but such a cute movie. My DD loves the Snowglobe movie. Maybe thats' ABC family but whatver the cute ones bring them on.
Thanksgiving falls relatively late this year so that's why I am guessing people aren't waiting until Thanksgiving time. I plan on waiting untl that weekend to decorate for Xmas though, but I need incentive to get shopping done as I don't have a lot of time in between.

Love them! BUT... my beloved Golden Girls go bye-bye for a few months. I hate that! I always make sure to start saving some episodes on the DVR so I have something to watch when I fall asleep. Goldens are also how me and my 6 year old like to spend our time before school in the morning. Snuggling to the "old ladies".

Count me in! I love Christmas and cheesy Christmas movies! And I'm cool with them starting movies on Halloween. By the time Halloween night gets here I've finished my marathon of scary movies anyway.

The pure cheesiness that is The Christmas Card has become legendary in our house. DS19 got me my very own copy for my birthday last year. We can practically recite its lame lines, and my DH imitates the dopey boyfriend, Paul, perfectly. We get laughing so hard at all the stupid little inside jokes we've made about the movie. And 8pm Halloween night now seems like the official kick off of Christmas commercials and programming.

Me too! My husband on the other hand....LOL, let's just say I actively IGNORE his complaining about having to scroll through "hundreds" of Hallmark movies just to find his dumb golf shows on the DVR.

LOL There's going to be 12 new Christmas movies on Hallmark, including one for their latest TV show, "Signed, Sealed, Delivered". I just adore that show and hope it come back next year.

I am looking forward to watching Christmas movies. My birthday was Monday and I hate that I can't take a day and watch movies on TV because they are all horror/slasher movies this time of year. I know I could put in DVD's, but sometimes it isn't the same.

I am a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie virgin! Which ones should I be one the look out for? The cheesier, the better. I am also a sucker for a good cry too.
