What are your thoughts on this cart? I really wanted it & found it on office supply dot com for $66 free shipping for $75 & over so I threw in a ream of Neenah white solar 125 lb CS lol. I was so excited!! Today I get an email, with a big cancelled stamp on my invoice, saying they are out of stock! WTH!!! I’m so pissed! It’s out of stock everywhere now!!

There was a discussion on the board about it when it was first revealed. I immediately thought there was no way I would have this cart in my home without knocking over trays non stop. Several Peas brought it up that it was similar to what they used in their classrooms to let their students/pupils' art projects dry.

I saw it and I fell in love with it and thought it would be perfect for all my ongoing projects. But then I thought do I really need another rolling cart and something else for my cats to play escape the burning lava floor with? I could just imagine them knocking it over and everything going everywhere and that was the end of me wanting it. I do think it's a great idea though!

My thoughts on the cart? If you really, really need to lay out that many projects for an extended period of time, well then I guess it would be ok. If you could come up with a more temporary solution or don't really need all those trays, then it is a storage system that takes up way too much space IMO. Sorry you can't find it in stock. I just purchased an item on ebay and 2 days later I got notification that it was cancelled too.

Layle by Mail/Layle Koncar has one that she uses in her office, I noticed in some of her videos or maybe on her blog. I’m guessing she has a lot of projects on the go for different companies/products she sells, and it seems like a good solution to having those laid out, pretty easy to grab a tray when you need to work on a project and slip it back into the cart when you’re done for the day.
I think it would work really well for people with specific commitments like design teams to keep everything together while that project is ongoing. You’d just need to be disciplined about ending projects and packing stuff away when they’re done to make space for the next thing. If I had more space I would consider it. I currently use the “piles on the table” version of this system and it’s not terribly functional!

I think it's a great idea...it's about the only way I could batch process PL without (almost certainly) knocking over a pile. I could pull out several weeks at a time, pull pocket cards to go with and then toss specific embellishments and stamps on top along with a few additional cards in case I want to make some changes. Part of me feels like finding a baking rack from someplace that specializes in food industry wares would work better, but then I'm not sure I'd be able to find one that isn't 8 foot tall.
I'm sorry that your order ended up canceled!!

If I had a bigger craft space, I'd buy one.
I do occasionally use a rectangular baking tray in my craft room to store an in progress project on. I can move it around my craft room then if I want to work on something else on my desk - which right now I am using to work from home.

I looked at it too but I dislike the color and I'm too lazy to spray paint it. I am thinking they'll come out with another color at some point. I don't know if it would just be one more thing or something useful. I'm a little torn.

This cart reminds me of Ali Edwards use of a commercial sized baking rack with baking sheets for each project.

I think the cart is cute. But, I prefer dust free options. If I had "work in progress" sitting on those trays they would all end up with a thin layer of dust. My current solution (piles) definitely involves thin layers of dust. It encourages me to get back to work! But also for me the tradeoff is that putting away something in a closed container tells my brain I'm done. I don't like putting things "away" mid-project and I tend not to go back to things that are put away. Just one of those psychological things. I like the idea of the Iris cases but for me they work better for putting things away that I need to store for months at a time, like holiday projects.
