I ordered some Nuvo drops and they are like putty. I looked to see if there was a fix online and the hedgehog crafter (super cute British lady, I had not seen her before) said to warm them up in your hands before using them, so I tried that to no avail. Anyone else have this issue and have a fix for it? Don't know if I should add a few drops of water, etc...

I've heard that you should put them in your bra for awhile to let your body heat warm them thoroughly.
Haven't tried it myself, though!

Sounds like it's old and dryer up. I would contact the place you purchased them and maybe even let tonic studio know about this problem. I hope you are able to get a replacement. I believe Hedgehog hollow's Alexandra is saying if it's cold in your room/basement to warm it up in your hand so it flows better.

I'm inclined to think you got an old batch and you might want to contact their customer service. But maybe one of our Nuvo lovers can comment more - I know lilacgal has lots, she might have some suggestions.

I’ve had some that were a little thick at the top, so I popped off the nozzle, cleaned it out, made sure it was dry, and put it back on. Thise have worked well for me since. I also store the bottles upside down to keep that from happening again.

I have THIS blog post saved. Maybe you can try this technique for cleaning. I think this person is or was a RefuPea.

I have had to throw away about half my bottles because of this. I have a few left, and when I finish them (or they dry up too), I will be done with them. Honestly, the only products like these that have ever worked really well for me are the Viva Decor Pearl Pens. The Ranger Enamel Accents work well, but the colors fade in the bottle.

I contacted nuvo themselves about an unusable bottle I purchased, and they sent me a new one without hesitation.

The school year ended. Having to take apart a March classroom in June without help took all my strength - physically and mentally! Alexandra (the hedgehog crafter) does have a lot of tips for working with Drops. Warming up stiff Drops can work. Some people can put them in their pocket. Some warm them in their hands. Others will put them in a cup of warm water. My craft room tends to run hot so warming things up is never my problem. I’m curious about which Drops you’re having trouble with. I’ve had different solutions depending on the Drop type. The Strawberry Coulis Jewel Drops worked so much better after I popped the top off and put a pin through the nozzle. I put the pin in tip first so it emerged from the “inside end” of the bottle. I then clean the tip off before removing the pin. It’s easier to show that than explain it. I can do a quick video if that would help. I still struggle with Vintage Drops a lot as well as the metallic finish Crystal Drops. I’m getting better with practice! (Though you wouldn’t know from me taking four tries to do two Drops on my Facebook live yesterday! 🙄😂) Crystal Drops with a gloss finish (usually with the work “gloss” in the color name) work best for me.

Honestly, the only products like these that have ever worked really well for me are the Viva Decor Pearl Pens. The Ranger Enamel Accents work well, but the colors fade in the bottle. I bought some of the enamels at TM for about a dollar each. They flowed really well but every single one of them cracked as they dried no matter how small the drop. I've found any affordable alternative to actual enamel dots to be a complete and utter waste of money. It's quite obvious that no one puts any significant R&D into their products, which ought to include their longevity.
I've also quit rubber pieces. They not only react to a variety of adhesive, but the acrylic drawers I've kept them in also have a reaction (they 'burn' for lack of a better word into the plastic). If they can't stand to be stored in acrylic, I don't trust them long term in a page protector, even if they're different types of plastic.
