Usually summer is much busier than winter for me. I create more memories with my grandchildren with hockey tournaments, time spent here with us in the city, and time spent at my parent's home on the lake. I have great photos, but not a lot of time to scrapbook them until fall. I am so sad. I don't think our grandson will have any hockey camps or tournaments this summer. I don't think they will travel here at all. I know many of us have the same issues and feelings. EDITED to correct typo, although I kind of liked "randmom"

I’m going to try and participate in this thread this month. I’m in the same position as you mikklynn but I am going to be able to use this summer to catch up on unfinished projects from past summers. We just have to keep reminding ourselves this is temporary. It’s hard and painful - cancelled plans, not being able to see family, the restrictions of social distancing. But we will get there. I really hope that we can all make the most of this different summer - whatever it may look like for you.

I feel conflicted about having all this time I could be scrapping and yet I'm not scrapping at all. As I go through so much of my unorganized supplies I feel both happy and sad that I have these great supplies I can't wait to use, and yet I am just tossing everything into cloth bins to be pulled for use later. Does that make sense?
However one thing I can say is that having Expo postponed this month is in reality good for me because I do not need to buy another thing right now. If anyone saw what I have to organize they would throw up their hands and say "Toss it and start over!" haha!
That said, I have found almost nothing I want to give away or sell. I like my supplies. I remember why I bought it and what I want to use it for. So that's something I guess.

I have a backlog of photos from March, April, May to scrap. Just got them printed last week. So I will be busy scrapping for awhile. But wondering what summer photos I will have. Have cancelled our flights to BC for next week's hs grad for my dgd. I asked her mom to PLEASE get some stills of the ceremony (the families will watch the video on big screen in the parking lot and then will each receive a video of it). And I am begging them to do a photo shoot with dgd in her prom dress, but if I am not there with my camera.... Our family reunion planned for July on our yard has been cancelled. Hoping that some of our own kids will be able to drive here with their families, but probably not all at the same time, so missing out on all the cousin interaction I had hoped to see... But enough moaning on my part. I am hoping to continue receiving photos from kids far away so that I can scrap them even if I can't be with them. Got some photos from one ddil of the boys in their snorkles in the hot tub in their back yard. Haven't printed those pic's yet, but I already have a "bugs" page planned in my head for one of sleepingbooty's June Team Challenges. Okay, back to finishing an Easter LO...

I already have a "bugs" page planned in my head for one of sleepingbooty's June Team Challenges. I just came back from a walk and heard loads of cicadas singing high up in the city trees! 35°C/95°F in the sun so they're out. Bugs everywhere, it truly is summer...

I know USA hockey canceled their development camps but a lot of individual camps are still proceeding. I hope they get to travel to you. <3

Our grandson had his peewee AA tournament in Calgary canceled. He has one in Duluth scheduled for mid-July that has not canceled yet.

Hey all! I have been getting lots of layouts done since INSD. So I am riding this wave as long as it last. I am working on a new lo inspired by a design I saw on hipkitclub's Instagram post.

I cleaned up my scrap room today. The piles had reached critical mass and I spilled a container of sequins all over here yesterday, so needed to move everything to vacuum.
Need to make 4 fathers' day cards, a birthday card and a grad card in the next week or so, but dd and dgs will be here starting tomorrow, and we are training dogs to stay inside a gps barrier, so not sure how much time I will have. Had hoped to do some crafting today while dh was away, but ran out of energy after the clean a thon...

I spent a lot of time in the kitchen today! Prepared 5 lbs of strawberries for shortcake, chili is cooking in the instant pot (will go into the freezer) and tonight's dinner is simmering in the crockpot. I was hoping to get a layout done today but I'm tired, lol. I'm going to relax on the couch and watch some YouTube inspiration for a bit. If I manage to stay awake, I may get some crafting in yet!

Such crazy times. We’re trying to plan a trip for a couple of weeks from now, mostly to see my brother, SIL, nephew and possibly two nieces, but wonder what all will be open, if we will have to wear masks everywhere and if protests will cause problems, or if they’ll be over by then. That’s no fun, but I understand the safety of the masks. I wear mine, but haven’t got back to church yet due to having to wear a mask to get in, but can take it off once we sit down. I don’t want to be sitting in everyone’s singing spit. LOL So, I don’t think vacation would be fun having to wear a mask in the heat. It would make for some fun(ny) pics, but I don’t want them all looking the same. KWIM? So hard. 😪

I just bought a pack of eyelets off Etsy for a project I’m doing. This makes me mad because I swore I would never use eyelets and got rid of them. I’m still happy I got rid of them 10000 years ago but I just had to pay a premium to ship these babies to myself because I won’t go out because of covid. It’s for this cut travelers notebooks cover I made

I haven't scrapped this month yet. Too many things going on in the world, affecting my mood.
I haven't even ordered May's photos yet.
I have been writing down journaling about both the pandemic & the protests (and separately, the looting & how it has personally affected my life).
Yesterday I filled 100 water balloons for the kids to go wild with, and took pics of them playing. At least I'll have a summery layout to work on eventually.

I got 16 cards made yesterday on my day off (less chores, more art!). I used the Aurora card kit from CTMH. Love it! 4 cards x 4 designs. Love it so much that I ordered more papers from the line so I can make more in the future.

Well here on the underside of the world it’s winter- grey cold and rainy- I HATE WINTER Come into my *safe distance* arms, friend. Fellow winter disliker here. It's just hard. The lack of sunlight, the cold, the humidity. I feel for you. (but I'm glad I'm finally out of it for the next few months!) I haven't scrapped this month yet. Too many things going on in the world, affecting my mood. Sorry it's been affecting your scrappy play and mood, LavenderLayoutLady. These are definitely rough times. I hope you can find your mojo soon again. So, I don’t think vacation would be fun having to wear a mask in the heat. It would make for some fun(ny) pics, but I don’t want them all looking the same. KWIM? Time to take a trip where few people go! For the sake of taking off your mask safely for photos... we are training dogs to stay inside a gps barrier And how's it going? I need a pupdate, grammadee!

My May photo order came last night so I have all the photos and items in their pockets. I ran out of "Design A" so I had to shift some things around. Next I'll journal (usually more like captions for me) and embellish. For June I am challenging myself to get out of my "Design A" rut. Yesterday I added sentiments to some cards to change them into birthday cards for my mother-in-law to give to her granddaughters. Later today I need to make a graduation card for a former student. Oh and I got a pen-pal! I've been making cards for fun but also to send to a local care home and one of the residents wants to be pen pals.

we are training dogs to stay inside a gps barrier And how's it going? I need a pupdate, grammadee ! Copied and pasted this from the Pokey Peas thread for ya, sleepingbooty : Dd & dgs and I have been busy training the dogs--rain or shine. Taking them out on leashes with their shock collars on and teaching them to run home when they first hear the beeps. Kandi had a scare when she was off leash the other day. Had her collar on and blundered into the invisible fence. She panicked and ran ALONG the fence line for a bit before turning toward the house. She now refuses to go anywhere near the warning posts. But she has been playing on the yard with us, so much more relaxed this evening. Snoopy has been a bit slower to learn, but he seems much better at turning for home tonight. I can't wait until we can just turn them loose again in the yard and not have to worry where they are all the time. I have photos of them playing in the yard, but not of the leash training. Will have to take my phone out again and get some pic's of that. BTW, it sounds like dgs sometimes thinks of the guy who was here setting the invisible fence up as the "invisible man" He didn't meet the guy but I guess when he has overheard us talking about him that it tweaks his HUGE imagination!

I put away all the layouts I created in May this morning. Think I’m out of page protectors now, so I will have to remember to pick some up when I’m out. Now that May is over I need to print my May photos and work on my monthly PL spread. I think I still haven’t done January also. Currently I’m working on some photos from a visit to The Greenbrier resort we did last year. I think they will be fun to work on. Happy scrapping everyone.

Well I went thru all the layouts that I had packed up when I moved and put them in albums I had here. I found all my old design team layouts when I was on an LSS design team. I don’t know if it’s good or bad that I can spot which ones were DT layouts due to the increased amount of ‘products’ Ha ha
It was so simple then to be on a DT the amount of works & social media presence looks daunting now.
I’m still missing a layout. It was a recipe layout and I want the recipe- can’t find it anywhere
I have a stack of 11x8.5 landscape layouts that I somehow don’t have an album for now. If only I’d have thought about that before AC Moore closed. I’ll have to keep my eye out for one

I have received several orders lately and things have been piling up, and while I haven't had a real chance to clean and organize my scrap area and my very large scrapbook closet/pantry, everything had just become out of control.
So this week I finally decided to go ahead and buy the large hudson rolling cart from Michaels to store my Thicker collection and letter stickers in. I am so happy with how it turned out! But that led to having to clean and organize everything else! So the majority of today was spent doing that.
I have a large pantry type closet in my scrap space that is a walk in and has floor to ceiling shelving and I had just been shoving stuff in there. I finally got it all reorganized today and actually moved some boxes out I was storing in there and made some more space! Between that and the Thicker storage, I'm just sitting here admiring my work!!😁
I also put all my new stuff away where it belongs and now I'm ready to finally tackle week 1 of the Alison Davis sketch class!!

Today I finally ordered my May photos. Estimated delivery date is the 20th.
I have a bunch of started layouts on my desk and on my shelves. I'm hoping that I'll find mojo again soon to finish them.

What did they say when you let them know the first order came? They were able to cancel my replacement order before it was mailed. I was glad cause I didn't need a double set or have to bother with mailing it back to them. Good customer service!

I'm working on December 2018 layouts at the moment - the 2018 album is almost done - just November and December to do - hoping to get all the way (or most of the way) through December during the crop and then maybe get November done afterwards so I can put it all in an album and call it done. We'll see - I have plenty of time but motivation isn't always there - I'm easily sidetracked...and I get tired of the same-old, same-old Christmas papers and embellishments
