Delta Dawn I’m hoping that’s just a med adjustment period, but I agree call your doc and check that what you’re going through is normal. But hugs and gentle thoughts to you. And yes thank god that you’ve still got Friends to watch. That can seriously cure almost anything. 😉☺️

We had homemade pizza.
I’m grateful for my health right now, my garden to sit in and my lovely hubby.

Ex didn't come over yesterday to mow my lawn because it was raining so he's coming over this afternoon ... I guess I'm grateful to him for continuing to take care of the yard even though he doesn't live here anymore because I wouldn't know the first thing about starting the lawnmower ... and have no interest in learning Dd's live with him too so I really am lucky that he's also a great dad ... so I would say I'm grateful to have a pretty excellent ex! Dinner tonight will be some sort of stuffed pasta (ravioli or tortellini - I have a few choices) in a red sauce ... that's the plan as of now anyway I certainly don't plan on leaving this site ... the only thing that would make me leave is if every.single.thread was American politics and I don't see that happening '

scrapmaven, good luck tomorrow with your procedure! **GypsyGirl**, hopefully the hurricane will miss you guys. I think coastal living would be gorgeous, minus the potential weather damage. I have a facination with Maine. Someday I'll visit. I've been craving soup lately. Weird! It is close to 90 right now in MN. Thank goodness for a breeze. I'm thinking tomato soup and grilled cheese tonight. 😁🤷♂️ Oh, eta: grateful post. I have a lot to be grateful for. Pretty privileged life as a whole. My eyes have been opened up as to just how bad black people have been treated. I knew in the past but currently? Terrible! I had no idea the extent of it. Shocked and nauseating!

destined2bmom I love what you did for graduation. Congratulations to your son! I’m so thankful for my backyard. I revamped my flower beds and raised garden beds so the flow is better. I planted my cherry tree a few days ago. While I’m watering everyday I always think about my dad. He wasn’t a gardener but he always took us fruit & veggie picking. My mom kept a garden. This same robin always comes and walks by me in the water spray. I feel like it’s a little visit from my dad. jeremysgirl I’m so glad for you & your son. I hope your dd is ok. Delta Dawn please call your dr. Something isn’t right with that combo. scrapmaven hoping for a quick and uneventful procedure.

Delta Dawn, you really need to see your doctor ASAP ... the way you're feeling is concerning to us here ... meds can be changed ... I'm sure you have seen many therapists over the years (I have too) but maybe it's time to look into that? Hugs to you

Delta Dawn, there are better days ahead for you. I think it's a good thing you recognize that you are feeling low and have a physician working with you. Its challenging and time consuming. Very frustrating to adjust meds and wait. Keep at it with your doctor and therapist to find what works best for you. Hang in there!

@sunnycalimom I'm grateful you guys are having breakthroughs too. I know just how much stress that puts on you as the mother. It terrible knowing our kids are suffering and we can't fix it. Delta Dawn I am truly sorry you are feeling so poorly. I just got the call from my doc my A1C and my cholesterol are markedly down. Yay me! Cheers to better health.

I really need an alias for this post because I don’t want BFF to see it. I am so negative and I think depressed. My GP added a new med then doubled it and I am not better. Everything is bad in my mind. (Everything is fine but a minor inconvenience). Everything is bad. The house though I love it is bad. The bed hurts my back. The beeping on my level drove me crazy. I am so sad and have nothing to be sad for. My gratitude thing is that Friends is still on Netflix Canada. Hugs I can shoot that beeping puce of torment for you.

Hi the kids are coming tomorrow which makes me so happy. Mood swings are so stupid. I was ok 5 min ago and want to cry again. What do I have to be sad about? Nothing. Just keep focussed on the kids coming home.

Today I tried a new recipe, and it was really good. www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/gnocchi-with-mushrooms-and-onion/I have a very simple but happy life and am grateful for tons of things all the time. To pick out just one, my DH. He is loving, supportive and helpful at least as often as he is annoying, grumpy and lazy. Just like me!

Well, the pot roast has been on the stove for a few hours now. In other news, I just got an alert from the Sheriff's department that they closed the off ramp from the freeway at 5 PM because of chatter on social media that there is going to be trouble. They have also called the National Guard to help if need be. We are unincorporated so we don't have police, just sheriff's deputies. Our Town Center (I've posted lovely photos from our walks around the lake there) is the suspected target.

Delta Dawn, I would go ahead and put in a call to your doctor right now. Sounds like you might be rapid cycling. If you just need a simple med adjustment why not do it now and feel much better sooner? scrappintoee, Your adorabull pea nurses are on the job. I have a recovery angiogram question for our two pea nurses. If either of you are available, may I ask a quick question that I forgot to ask my doctor about the time in the PACU after the procedure? I ask for ride scheduling purposes. It's being done through my wrist. I know when it's done through the groin then it's several hours on your back. Do they really keep you for 3-5 hours after the procedure? Thank you in advance. If nothing else, this thread is the reason that I stay on the board!

So no one got back to me today. I have something to take extra tonight. This is rapid cycling. I don’t know what else to call it. See the stupid sentences I am writing? Something isn’t right.

Delta Dawn, you know that rapid cycling is just chemistry. You're very safe and nothing bad is really happening to you. You're safe. You're going to be OK and you'll get help from your doctor. The main thing to remember is that you're safe and this will pass. You won't feel this bad forever. It's temporary.

I bet they do to watch for bleeding but it’s been a while for me. Can you call 1st thing in the AM and ask? If you get a stent I would think even more so.

scrapmaven, I would think it would be an overnight stay for stent placement but can't say for sure. My dad has had an angiogram prior to his valve replacement and believe he had to stay two to three hours post procedure.

smcast, thank you so much for the info. It is definitely an overnight stay if they place a stent. I really appreciate you and teddyw.

You’ll be up and about faster1. Immediately after your wrist catheterization, you can sit up. In addition, you’ll only need to wear a pressure bracelet over the access point for a few hours, Dr. Ellis says. (sooo....they're going to give you a lovely new piece of "jewelry?" Hee hee )
2. Treat your wrist like it’s broken for about 24 hours, he says. But otherwise, you are free to resume normal activities. 3. With a leg catheterization — known as transfemoral catheterization — you’ll need to lie flat for two to five hours to safely close the access point. Lying flat helps prevent blood from oozing from the hole in your leg artery, he says scrapmaven .... Nurse Meaty and Nurse Sophie hope that your "paw" won't be sore afterwards. They did some searching, and got this from what I think is a reliable website (Cleavland Clinic) for this info. Very interesting that the article tells why it's BETTER to go through the wrist (radius) versus the leg (femoral). Here is a cut and paste of the entire thing if you're interested. health.clevelandclinic.org/cardiac-catheterization-best-way-to-your-heart-its-through-your-wrist/@sunnycalimom ..... I also did some reading about hEDS, and ....wow...I'm so sorry that you and your dd have that! I hope your pain and swelling have gone down! (( hugs ))

Today my high school senior graduated and I made amazing meatloaf, mashed potatoes, salad and green beans. Tomorrow he turns 18! And I need another good meal. Let me know if any ideas - would love to do something new thinking of pork schnitzel:) or sticky pork burgers with hot and sour cabbage...

Let me know if any ideas - would love to do something new thinking of pork schnitzel:) or sticky pork burgers with hot and sour cabbage... I think the pork burgers sound amazing. But just in case you’re interested, here’s my baby back ribs recipe. They start in the oven, then go into the slow cooker. Boys love them. Slow Cooker BBQ Ribs
Notes: their BBQ sauce recipe is weird. I just combine Kinder’s or Baby Ray’s with some ketchup and call it a day. Also, 6-8 hours in the slow cooker is overkill. I leave the ribs in there for maybe 5 hours and the meat is falling off the bone.
