natscraps , grammadee , azcrafty , KikiPea , AussieMeg , schroema , teacherlisa , gramma, lynnek welcome to the June chat thread! There are a ton of great challenges this month! Depending on how much I actually accomplish, I might do the spreadsheet counting this month lol. Are you working on anything in particular, or just scrapping what's inspiring you at the moment? I tend to scrap whatever photos are inspiring me. So no plan, rhyme or reason to it lol. Although I got all my COVID preorders this week and will probably start documenting that. Kinda bummed I'm not going to be able to participate in the the crop this month. But hopefully I will be in some virtual crop hangouts. Which reminds me I need to add the virtual cropping I did do, to my total for May. Here's to a fun and productive month!

A lot of my layouts last month were for challenges on other sites, so I didn't get to complete some of the challenges here - including some of my own! But it was worth it because I got a coupon for 30% off, another coupon for 20% off, and a $5 voucher.
I really need to make a start on my Project Life for 2020. I had promised myself that I would stay up to date with it this year, but I haven't started yet. In fact, I haven't even decided on the format I want to use this year! And we are nearly half way through the year already. AAARGH!

Howdy!
I usually scrap what sparks my interest, and may still do so a bit, but will be focusing on my Telluride, CO 2019 vacation album. I may be about 1/2 way through. I will still scrap the photos that interest me most (I don’t scrap chronological), but mostly within that album. I have a new cart to put my current large projects on, and I’m so excited to see how much it helps keep things corralled!

Hi ladies! I keep thinking I am going to start my Covid album joyfulnana, but have not yet. I don't know why I am feeling intimidated by it. I will look for ward to seeing what you do. AussieMeg - I am right there with you on the PL2020. Haven't started yet, but kind of want to do that too, but can't quite decide how I want to do it. KikiPea - I am in Colorado and while I have not been to Teluride in years, it is a favorite place to go! I can't wait to see what you do! Some of my best vacation memories are from vacations we took to that area! I am scrapping with some friends tomorrow - first in person scrapping with friends for months! I am excited to just see them and catch up! I have one day of my Week in the Life done and I like how it turned out. So, I am thinking I may start with that if I can get the photos edited today. If I could know out a few more days, that would be awesome!

Now that I have the photos printed, I want to finish up scrapbooking for March/April/May. Have lots of different seasonal themes from snow angels to spring thaw Easter to gardening. Not alot of Covid related pages, but I mention it when journaling about what is happening as opposed to what happened last year or what we had planned.
Also have cards to make: four fathers' day cards have been started this morning. Will need some masculine bd cards for July, so may make those while the manly stuff is on my counter.
And I need to create a bd and a grad card for my dgd. Prob my biggest project will be going through all my albums since her birth, pulling out any pages that include or feature her, and then getting those pages printed. The goal is to have her own personal album from birth to hs grad. I want to create an original cover page and some pages for her grad to go at the end, but am waiting for photos from her mom. Her dad plans to be here at the farm with his truck early July before heading to BC, so I need to get this album DONE so it can go with him. (Way too heavy to mail unless I really had to...) Started doing this last month, but got distracted. Now I have a deadline (ds's visit) I will need to GET GOING on this!

Hi! This is my first time joining the team challenge I’m working on a huge decluttering of my craft room; my DH has been working from home and that may become permanent so we need to find a space for him. My room has lots of piles and crates of old calendars, kids artwork, etc, etc!!!! But I did find the surface of my desk to actually work on pages! I’m signed up for the Sketches for 6x6 paper pad Facebook group. I’m planning to work through those sketches for my daughters high school album. I also need to finish my DC travel album (like one page and a few odds and ends to finish). I’d also like to finish my Yellowstone trip album(prob about 10-15 pages to go)

AussieMeg way to go! You can't beat discounts! lynnek I'm a little intimidated to start mine too. But I love @joblackfords. I've gathered so much stuff it's probably going to be it's own album lol. schroema I'm also doing the 6x6 class so fingers crossed that will mean at least on LO a week if I keep up with the class. You can earn points for that decluttering too with the organizing challenge! I would also like to finish my PL 2019 - I've only got a couple months of it left.

lynnek I did the same thing, jumped in one time and I've been here since. Even the months when I've had zero points lol. schroema there is pinned post on the GS board that explains how to post. I would link it, but unfortunately, I'm challenged that way lol. So far so good, I've got two 2 pagers done. I'm going to start formulating a plan for the week 2 sketch today. I was able to join in on the Sunday morning virtual crop and actually accomplished finishing that LO. There were 5 of us at one time, which is the biggest group I've personally seen. I think it's going to spoil me for in person crops. It's so nice not to pack and unpack and still have people to chat with. Now I'm off to see what everyone has been up to this month! I hope everyone is having a good week - I know it's only Tuesday, so lots of time for my week to go off the rails anyway lol. Are you participating in the Christmas in June crop? I sadly am not, the week days are just too busy to get much scrapping in right now. Work is crazy busy and trying hard to zap my mojo, but I'm fighting back hard lol.

The Sunday morning crop was nice. I think it is so important to have some social interaction in our lives and these virtual git togethers fill a void!!

Hi All - I am making very slow progress on the Christmas crop. But I did in fact finish one layout. I scrapbooked with my two scrapping friends in real life on Saturday and got four layouts just about done. I need to add journaling on a couple.
I was looking at the Christmas thread and there is some great stuff there! Lots of progress.

Hi and thanks for the welcome! I just finished a one page layout to add to the 2 2pg layouts I did last week. Joining the sketch fb group and this challenge has been the best thing for my motivation!
I’m making some progress on my organization project. It’s sooo much kids papers and random calendars and programs. It’s overwhelming but I keep thinking how nice it will be when I can easily access all my supplies!

Can I ask a question? How to you store your ribbon? Right now mines all in a fabric bin- large rolls, small rolls, scraps- anyone have any great ideas?
I’m getting excited about the progress I’m making in my craft room and I’m trying to find a better solution.

Good Morning! I said I wasn't going to let my job get in the way and then omg things blew up and I've been working nearly 12 hour days since. More of the same next week. It's exhausting. There has been no scrapping for me. I'm going to try and sneak some in later today. I still want to try and keep up with the Allison Davis sketch class at least. gramma I love the virtual crops and even though I'm not joining in this weekend, I love that we have that ability. It's so fun getting to know the peas in virtual real life. I appreciate msliz for organizing them. schroema I can't help with storing ribbon as I purged all of mine a couple years ago. It just never made it to my pages. I had taken it off the spool and stored it loose in clear jars. It was pretty and accessible but never used. lynnek so glad you were able to join in on the Christmas crop! Sounds like you've made progress. It's so hot here I'm having a hard time thinking about Christmas. I haven't checked out the new product thread yet, maybe I should do that. I have so much Christmas stash, and I'm not going to be adding to it this year, but I'm always inspired by new product and most of all seeing other people's pages! I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Good Sunday morning fellow Joyful's! The sun is shining here which is a surprise to me, since dh has been following all the worst case scenario weather forecasts and has been saying for days that today will be very rainy. Because it was "going to be rainy", he planned a trip to a nearby town where one of the breakfast places has just opened up for indoor dining, and he wants to treat me to the Mothers' Day brunch we didn't get to attend this year. They apparently have the tables spaced far apart and staff are taking all the safety precautions. I am nervous about this, but I guess there is not much more danger than picking up take out at drive through... So we will be gone for the rest of the morning. So I will be missing LisaDV 's morning Hangout. Had fun visiting with Peas on the Hangout session yesterday evening, though. Worked on a couple of pages that I was able to finish up afterward, and I managed to snap a pic of it this morning and will be sharing it on the sharing thread if I stop rambling here before we need to leave for town. schroema, I don't have a "system" for ribbon storage, really. The Christmas stuff resides in a bin in my Christmas corner cupboard. The rest, I have the rolls in one bin, the looser bits in bags with the ones wrapped on cardboard strips in another. They WERE sorted roughly by colour at one time, but the are getty more mingled now. I don't use alot of it and don't buy it any more, but I still like to use ribbon when the spirit moves me. Have you all checked out the Christmas in June crop thread on the GS board? Lots of fun and inspiration there--and the opportunity to scoop up some extra points. And whether you have played along with the crop or not, everything you have created this week is worth double points to the team! Speaking of points, I have not calculated any so far this month. Twelve pages and four cards--yikes! I had better get counting!!!

I think I have a CIJ hangover. Tried to put a couple of pages together this morning but every step seemed to be so. much. work.
Finished the Fathers' Day cards I need to put into the mail tomorrow, but since I had already cut all the pieces, they did not require alot of thinking. Counted up my points so far this month.
Spent the rest of the morning (while doing laundry) going through my albums, pulling pages about my dgd who wanted her own scrapbook for a grad gift. There are WAY too many pages, so while I am packing up the first ten years' worth to take to the printer tomorrow, I will sort again, and "weed out" the pages with duplicate themes, etc. Like most of my bright ideas, this is more work than I had imagined (even though I just did this three years ago for her cousin). And of course I put it off too long, so now is crunch time...
How is the rest of the team doin'?

Getting my daughter(16)‘a album caught up is a huge reason I’m back scrapbooking now and if I’m honest, I’m not sure I want to let these books go!

My books are mostly about the grandkids, but ordered chronologically with each of them represented on their own or with siblings &/or cousins &/or family groupings. I am taking the pages out of my albums. Will get them printed for her, then return the originals to my books. I will also make a few pages for her grad to finish off her book.

How's it going? Sorry to be MIA the past week. This dang job lol. Hopefully this week is the last of such long hours. I miss scrapping! schroema I love your new avatar! I'm still stuck on week 2 of the sketch class and week 4 starts today. So much for staying caught up I have some crop time planned with my mom this weekend so I hope that translates into the weekend crops here too. schroema are you going to sort everything my color or just the ribbon? That's awesome that you are getting things so organized! I have tried sorting by color, but my brain just doesn't think that way so I put it all by category which seems to be working better. How does everyone sort their stash? I'm always curious about how people store and use things in this hobby. I need to do a better job of using all my sentiment stamps. I have a ton and most haven't seen an ink pad yet. What's everyone else supply that needs to get some use? I'm knew when I saw the week 2 sketch it would be a struggle. What do you to make a sketch you are having a hard time with work? Decide to not use it, or do you challenge yourself to find a way to make it work?

Who knows how long I’ll stay caught up, but for now it is keeping me doing at least a layout a week.

Your space looks great! I love that divided container you're using for your ribbon! I have moved my supplies from my home office, to the dining room, and now into the walk in closet of my bedroom. I seem to love my stuff more if it's not in my face all day long. After spending my whole week in the home office, that's the last place I want to go for craft time.
Still no scrapping going on here but I'm really hoping to get caught up on the sketch class this weekend. I have a ton of photos. And hopefully this craziness at work will slow down next month. I want my life back lol. I can't believe it's time to sign up for July already, where did June go??!!

Hey, Joyful's! I got to PLAY today!!! Dh went to town for coffee for the first time since early March. (The bakery where the guys usually hang out has set up a socially distanced spot for them). So I had 3 hours with the house to myself and managed to turn out 3 pages! Great organization job, @schroena. Not at ALL like my messy corner here, but I love the look of yours. I am like the mad hatter and would rather move into a clean spot than do what needs to be done here . I will be claiming organization points but only for extricating dgd's pages from my albums and getting them ready for the printer. Speaking of points, I have not added mine for a couple of weeks. Yikes! By the end of next week, joyfulnana will be looking for our June totals. I keep saying I will add as I go, but nope! THAT kinda paperwork is not one of my strengths. Quick reminder, too, to sign up for July teams.
