Oh dear, I responded to this thread yesterday but obviously got distracted from my computer and didn't "post" it! Tell me this happens to you too? I start responding but get up and down to tend to other demands and then I forget and close my browser! angel97701 - I think of you and your boys every day! I hope things have gone well since your last post. They obviously love and trust you but have such obstacles to overcome. Are your repairs proceeding now? Added frustration! nylene - glad you came to the party! Love your personal tidbits. I'm glad your DH still participates actively in his sport. My Dad gave up golf when his eyesight went downhill. Said it took away too much of his depth perception. However, it had a huge impact on his social life and friendships, his physical activity, and his overall wellbeing. And I pushed him to try again (and he misses it so) but he is so NOT a person who will work on something that is challenging (funny for a golf addict?) and now it's too late, he's deteriorated too much. joblackford, my friend has a business selling stuff like that - antiques or not so much antiques - and it takes a huge amount of time to research an item, decide on a price, take photos, post, sell/mail... it's full time for her!

Rough weeks, very emotional with both DSs. Now they are recommending another placement before DS14 comes home. I am grief stricken, anxious, and frustrated as communication has trailed off from the program. DS 21 is only on step 4 of 16 after 9 weeks in the program.
House renovation is at a stand still as flooring is on back order. Money for repairs is stuck at the mortgage company because it has to be triple endorsed (including the mortgage company). Instead of returning the check they sent my 8 pages of forms to fill out . . . . There are also local road construction that keep cutting our land-line phone. When it does work it is filled with static.
At least the garden is growing, and flowers are making their appearance. Most days I do get to my Bible Journaling.
DH has his project's engineering team here and Wednesday night I feed 7, last night 10 and tonight it will be 12. At least it gets my mind off of all the other stuff I am dealing with. The team is very aware of the situation with our sons, and are supportive. They even insisted that DH leave the meetings for the therapist call, and he missed about 2 1/2 hours of working with the team.

@gmcwife - I hope you don't feel bad about not creating this month. We all take down time. I've managed I think 3 layouts this month? I remember Linda even has had a few less productive months (I know, unbelievable, right? ) I personally think I wouldn't have created anything this month if it weren't for the Saturday night google hang outs. When I'm home during the day, the sunlight calls to me and I don't want to descend into the basement to craft. When I'm working, I'm tired and it's hard to get down there too! angel97701 - step 4/16 is still step 4 and still on the program. That's what counts. I'm sorry if they think your DS14 needs another round. Do you trust them to judge and help honestly, setting aside their "business" part of the agenda? Have you been in any contact with DS14? Now that DS21 is away from home, do you feel that DS14 will be better off at home? I can only imagine your angst if I am coming up with questions like this in my own brain!!! Argh, I feel for you and will keep you in my prayers.

((((Hugs))) and prayers angel97701 - that has to be so difficult with your sons - and the house stuff as well. kitbop - yes, I've had months with low points and even months with zero points. Don't worry - not this month though - that weeklong crop made a BIG difference

Oh, angel97701 it sounds like you are having a really rough time of it. So much to deal with. I hope your Bible journaling gives you a creative break and some comfort. gmcwife1 Don’t stress out about points or “productivity” - I knew after I got my last donation box out that I was going to be taking a break from intensive cardmaking for a while. My shop has never been so empty, I’m just not motivated to work on cards right now, and I didn’t even try the new sheetload. There’s time. After a few weeks of not creating much I think I’ll be ready to get back into it soon. I’m going to put a tag on SOMETHING tomorrow so I can claim the bonus for finishing Booty’s Christmas crop challenges. I really want to finish my virus diaries so I can dig into Scrappy Christmas in July, so maybe I’ll get that done tomorrow too! I still need to figure out how much crochet I’ve done and all the other points. I’m pretty sure I’ll be done with the 100 day project in a week! I’m enough in the habit of drawing in Procreate each night now that I might not observe the finish line. I’m still working on learning how to do shading and using layers and I still have a goal to work on - making an image for my Pea swap Xmas card. I’ll be back tomorrow to apologize again for not commenting on everyone’s lovely creations, and to report points.

Well, end of June, I can't believe it! I haven't looked at my points yet for the month but I only have 4 cards and 4 layouts to add up so it's not gonna be that hard I'll start tallying our team's efforts if anyone wants to PM me or update this thread with their points. However, I'm thinking I could just submit Linda 's points and we'd be good... JK, I don't want to leave anyone out! Let me have them!!! I'm glad it's not about winning/losing. And I find it really strange how keeping points helps motivate me? It makes me personally feel like I've accomplished something when I get "points" for it? Does anyone else have a theory as to why they are motivated by the challenge groups when there is no benefit to winning? I like being part of the team. It would feel a little silly to have a team if we didn't have a competition of some sort. I struggle to figure this out!

lol kitbop - I am a bit competitive and points and challenges DO motivate me. The crops especially though. I enjoy the comraderie on the crop threads and the team threads, Deadlines are motivating too - give me a bonus for meeting challenges by a specific time and I'm all on that. But I'm guessing you already knew that I'm hoping for one maybe two more layouts tonight so I'm going to hold off a little on a final tally.

Thanks for having us kitbopMy total thanks to the Christmas crop is 4506 points. I think it's helpful to have accountability to the group, unless you're a rebel-type who can only get stuff done if someone says they can't! It helps me to have a deadline and these challenges (or at least the points reporting) make me pay attention to what I'm doing with my time. At the end of the month its good to look back and see how busy it was, how far I've moved towards a goal.

Wow guys, impressive! I'll get mine totalled tonight and let grammadee know totals soon - she usually gives us tonnes of leeway I have to go start a new thread for July. And figure out some challenges to post! We had a really busy week. I worked 7 days in a row (1 more to go, and it's gonna be hard, I'm toast!) including Canada Day (which made me sad). We had friends visit twice (we're allowed a "bubble" family here, so we've been able to reconnect with our besties) and bought/assembled a new barbecue. In blazing heat. Tomorrow is supposed to feel like 40 degrees c (that's 104 f) and the heat drags everyone down a bit.
