Hello, Peas,
I wanted to take a moment and thank EVERYONE for reaching out, posting, and speaking about the emails that someone sent me. Even the Peas I square up against, as my teenager stated, THANK YOU! For now, no movement has happened in the case due to the protests in our town, which I completeley understand. We are safe at home, the husband has worked hard to ensure that.
At 2Peas I know we all don't agree all the time or heck any of the time but I've always enjoyed this message board.
We have watched our babies grow, celebrated graduations, weddings, shared our heartbreaks, celebrated holidays, debated heated moments, mourned tragedy, mourned lost ones, read with love, untied against trolls, laughed at hysterical things, shared joy, enabled retail therapy, shared ideas, shared views, hugged after a hard day(virtually), smiled over new pets, shared volunteer opps, bonded over shared experiences, worried for each other, passed along resources, learned how to cook, sew, clean, build, vented and so much more.
As I sit here typing this I'm crying. Crying from frustration, crying from the stress of husbands job, form the senseless hurt, from the meanness, from the knowledge that my daughters are facing danger because of their dad's job (they removed their blue line flag stickers from their cars as people have been attacked, followed and verbally screamed at because of them), that I have to let them know each night that he has walked in the door safely.
15 years doing this job and this is the 1st time my 4 girls are visibly scared for their dad.
He is heading into his 7th night of protests. 2 ended with crowd dispersal the other 5 had moments with agitators, but thank goodness ended peacefully. The protests have grown from a 100, to close to 800 and this weekend they are hearing those numbers will triple if not more. I am thankful for the peaceful protest and praying this weekend and the foreseeable ones, stay that way.
I'm not debating on this thread! I came here to say THANK YOU and to let the Peas, who asked how my family was doing, how we are.
I love 2peas, I love the card swap and it will continue(with some changes) and I will join in discussion more later.
Ladies stay safe, be thoughtful with your words, and keep EVERYONE in your prayers.
