What do I do now? I am not computer savvy by any means. I have most of my files on a thumb drive.

That sucks! I have less than 1 MB of files that sync and with a 5 GB limit, it's safe to say I'll probably never see this issue You may want to check into what syncs...like you can have some of your files stored on your computer/thumb drive and not have them sync with Silhouette? Off-hand, I'm no help with the technical process or the settings to do that, but hope you can find help.

@shell29 how do you have that limit? Is that with your library or external storage?

Stupid side question: Does deleting files out of your library clear up space?
When I first got my machine I had an unlimited subscription and I downloaded plenty! As better designs came out there are some I know I will never use. If I delete those out of the library are they gone completely and for good?

I think if you bought them from the store they are always there.

@shell29 how do you have that limit? Is that with your library or external storage? It is my library and the size is only what syncs with Silhouette, I believe. I have the designer edition, so must get a higher storage amount. There is a little box on the bottom left of the screen that shows the sync info and says the size (772 kb out of 5 gb for me). I recall that I didn't used to have everything sync, but now it does. Perhaps your best option is upgrade to the designer edition? I know I did quite a few years ago and bought it during a sale.

You could also save them to your computer first and then delete from your library. Then you would still have them if you ever want to import them back in. I have a lot of cut files that are on my computer that I haven't bothered to import to my library yet.

If they are on your computer but not in your library, do they still show in your library? And I have designer edition, @shell29.

If they are on your computer but not in your library, do they still show in your library? And I have designer edition, @shell29. No, the files I have just on my hard drive don't show in the library. I have them organized in one folder on my computer and can see what the shapes are as image icons. You can either import it into your library or just do file-->open-->select your image and it will open up in your design space.

I had that issue awhile back. If I remember right, it only has to do with your personal files, but that includes Silhouette files you bought that you adapted and saved as a separate file with a different name, as well as free files you got from other sources, and any files that you have created and saved to the library.
If you have files that you have bought from Silhouette Design Store, the storage space for those is unlimited. It’s the files from other sources that cause you to run out of your allotted free storage.
I save my personal designs and cutting files from other sites to my hard drive. I periodically back them up to external hard drives.
Personal files stored on your computer will not show an image in your Silhouette Library. I just make sure I name my personal files on my hard drive (or thumb drive) in a way that I will know what they are and can easily find what I want.
I keep a few personal files in my Silhouette Library on the Cloud, but ONLY those that I want to access and use over and over again.

I had no idea my library was limited. I guess I should delete all the things I traced from coloring pages for one time use because I could always re google a coloring page.

scrapnnana , will this work to save space? I have several individual fancy letters, not fonts. Can I put them all in one file rather than one file for each letter of the alphabet? Or any group of svgs that have several images?
